Morning all! Come and join the gorgeously-scented chat!

Today I smell of lavender, woodsmoke and cinnamon biscuits, in Another Kiss By The Fireside.

The 14 reviews were universally positive, with lots of comments that Mitsouko has been a favourite for years and giving it 4 or 5 stars -- so for 12.50, I ordered 50ml and we shall see.

I lost you all! SOTD is L'Air de Rien.

I wear Mitsouko a lot at this time of year - love it.

XingMing · 27/11/2018 17:02

Anyone who needs an FB of Mitsy should go to All Beauty where I got my mum's EdP for £51/75ml (compared to £71 at Heathrow DF where she was planning to get it). My mum is thrilled, plus she'll get the PP dupe to try.

The Gallivant London is really rather nice today; a light, green leather. Last week was just too cold for it not that it's warm today.

I have polished my enabling badge.

SheHasNotions · 27/11/2018 18:01

SOTE Tart’s Knicker Drawer.

florabel · 27/11/2018 18:02

SOTD is Tender by Miller Harris. Just got a tester size and it has been so grey, grim and rainy in London today that I needed something to lift me and I needed the promise of tulips and hyacinths to get me through the day. I love that this perfume has that fresh green of my beloved Chanel No19 but with the warmth of woods, styrax and leather underpinning it so it never smells cold, aloof and haughty. I may be having to drop heavy hints for. Chrimbo!

SotD was Ambre Loup. (Courtesy of the kindest Perfumista ever). Particularly lovely dry-down.

Have just got soaked to the skin on the way home so need something warming for SotE....

Calmanddance · 27/11/2018 20:44

SOTD was 4160Tuesdays The Great Randello. It’s lemony toffee apple and pipe tobacco on me. I enjoyed it very much, especially in the cold weather. It just didn’t perform as well in the summer.

Went with my beloved Sahara Noir (which I strictly ration) - hottest, driest incense ever.

MrsLucas · 27/11/2018 20:59

Did consider The Great Randello though Calm - also very warming. (It's strawberry brulee and pipe tobacco on me - a combination I wouldn't have expected to find in the least bit attractive, but it is really, really good).

Calmanddance · 27/11/2018 21:04

Well, Mrsr8, it wasn’t particularly a citrus opening which a lot of perfumes have. It was more like a fruity toffee to start with, not sharp, but then an hour or so after I put it on I noticed some lemon notes rising up, as well as the tobacco, It’s definitely unusual, but very interesting. I can send you a sample, if you like?

My absolute 4160 favourite is Inevitable Crimes of Passion. It is gorgeous in cold weather and smells like a Terrys Chocolate Orange made of very expensive dark chocolate. It has mushroom notes in it, which sounds really weird, but actually makes it rich and dark.

cantbelievemyeyes · 27/11/2018 21:08

SOTD for the second day running was the sample Calm sent me of L'Artisan Perfumeur Skin on Skin. Very tempted to get some more of this, it makes me feel very calm and grown up which is the opposite of reality.

Just bagged a couple of eBay bargains for Christmas (for myself, which DH will wrap badly and add to some random stuff he'll pick out for me). A travel size of Frederic Malle Noir Epices and a rollerball of Fracas. Both things I've wanted for ages but didn't want to pay normal sized bottle prices, so quite chuffed to get them for £20 each.

Calmanddance · 27/11/2018 21:09

Yes, MrsLucas, I noticed strawberry was listed as one of the notes in The Great Randello so I had a respray and a resniff, but nope I didn’t get strawberry at all! I get lots of strawberry from Silk, Lace and Chocolate, though.

Hello perfumistas, I am popping in here to ask for some help with a fragrance for DH.
He is currently wearing Aqua Bvlgari which we both like.
Can anyone please suggest a fragrance we may both like if we both like the bvlgari?

Or alternatively, I'm sure I read somewhere that there is a website where you can search for a fragrance you like and it will tell you other things to try. I've searched online but failed to find it. Can anyone help me out with a link please?

@isitwinetimeyet16 welcome! You posted a few days ago and I meant to post then, but didn’t, sorry! You were asking where to buy SJP Covet. I bought my last bottle from Savers for £14.99 very recently. Also Allbeauty sell it for £14.95 but you have to spend over £20 to get free postage. I agree with you, it is a beautiful perfume. I always have one on the go and a back-up bottle as well.

Drummingisfun · 27/11/2018 22:15

@mrsr8 thank you!

Try this one too

MrsLucas · 27/11/2018 23:06

But The Great Randello isn't fondant sweet like Silk, Lace and Chocolate (which is a bit too sweet for my taste).
