Morning all! Come and join the gorgeously-scented chat!

Today I smell of lavender, woodsmoke and cinnamon biscuits, in Another Kiss By The Fireside.

It's lighter than I usually wear. Very citrus and tea, settling into a floral.

SheHasNotions · 17/11/2018 17:13

Fanny it’s lovely! £80 for 50 mls from Rouiller White online in the UK, but can’t find anywhere that does samples other than the unexpected one I got in a Perfume Society box.

I’m sitting on my hands Grin.

SheHasNotions · 17/11/2018 17:14

And I love Manifesto L’Elixir so much. It’s that vanilla/heliotrope powderiness with he tiny citrus touch...addictive.

Fantastiqueangel · 17/11/2018 17:16

That sounds good SheHas. I'll try to find that.

OCSock as was, reporting in.

I completely lost interest in perfume during the hot weather and was later very engrossed outside MN. and have just returned from my first proper holiday in two years and I only took Rhubarb and Citrus and a mini Fleur de Sel for a fortnight.

Back in cold weather, I banged on Chergui (magnificent... I had forgotten how good it is) and today Feu Follet, which may be my first FB purchase, in two years.

Waving to all you old timers here. I will participate in the Xmas party if it's not too late.

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 17/11/2018 21:55

Hello, xingming/sock!

SOTD Clinique Wrappings. My MIL asked what I want for Christmas and I asked for Miss Dior. I gave her a link to the correct one, but am now worried I will end up with a fruity pink thing instead of the original.

XingMing · 17/11/2018 21:58

Hello Judy!

XingMing · 17/11/2018 22:02

Judy, your anxieties are probably justifiable. You have to be obsessed to be here in the first place, but once you're down the rabbit hole, you know that the originals reign supreme.

UnnecessaryFennel · 17/11/2018 22:54

Hello xing, lovely to see you Smile

Chergui and Feu Follet are perfect for the chillier weather.

Hey Sock! We missed you. Yes, if you are up for the advent calendar I'm sure we can shuffle around a bit, but it will be probably be one date rather than two if that's OK? I'll PM you.

We just need Blue, Pest and Green back now in time for Christmas.

I feel similarly about Feu Follet.

Hello Xing! (Piam here) I wore the vintage Dune the other evening. Beautiful.
Judy, without wishing to cast a slur on your relatives, if she goes to a shop, they'll hoodwink her into a minger!
Private Collection PP yesterday for school, another undersung EL hero, and Shalimar after a hot bath.
Wondering what to put on my perfume list for dp to buy me...It was Shalimar I got last year. Was thinking about proper Samsara but tbh I am so in love with the PP one, that like Opium and RG, I don't need the real stuff ever again!

Anyone tried the Gallivant range? I may have ordered the sample set...

UnnecessaryFennel · 18/11/2018 17:21

SOTMorning was Shalimar but I think my sample may have gorn orf. So scrubbed after a bit and replaced by Vanilla Flash, which isn't that dissimilar anyway.

Gallivant looks good, xing - will be interested to hear your thoughts. Like the sound of London and Istanbul in particular.

Hi all, please may I join all you lovely smelling lot?!

I’m looking for a new perfume but really struggling to find one I like. My two favourite scenes are paco rabanne ultra violet and Dior hypnotic poison. Would love some recommendations please!

Ollivander84 · 18/11/2018 21:59

SOTD - smiley perfume, an old one!

fishonabicycle · 19/11/2018 06:27

Mrsr8 - thank you - how do I pm someone on this site please? Can't find a message function 😳

UnnecessaryFennel · 19/11/2018 07:15

fish you want the 'message poster' link on mrsr8's last post. At the end of the blue name bar.

wellfuckme you may like Burberry Brit (vanilla and almond) or Guerlain Insolence (violets++++), maybe? Fragrantica also suggests Roberto Cavalli Essenza and L'eau Couture by Elie Saab as having similar notes to Hypnotic Poison.
