This is week SIX of the fourth boot camp of 2007 , everyone is welcome.

Veils drawn over last week

The rules (anyone can join):

This is about feeling better about yourself...not necessarily a diet per se etc etc

  • Sunscreen at all times
  • No or little booze. Wine at the weekend is allowed if you want it
  • Walking is important, a small amount every day if possible. 30 mins if you can
  • Lots of water, aim for 2 litres a day
  • Apply body cream as often as possible
  • Use hand cream
  • Go to bed early, by 10.30pm if pos
  • Eat healthily
  • Be happy

The idea is that at the end of six weeks we all feel happier, healthier and glow with the good food, sleep, exercise, water and lack of sun damage.

flippers

glitterfairy · 23/06/2007 12:54

Ooh these look really good and have you seen the flippers do they work as well?

glitterfairy · 23/06/2007 14:33

I have ordered them now and also a book on swimming workouts whihc was strangely being recommended at the same page. I hate that when you see something else when you were only looking at one thing and suddenly your bsket grows to alarming proportions.

OK, time to confess:

some Granola

an enormous bacon sandwich, which was 2 doorsteps of white tiger bread, smothered in thick wedges of butter with bacon and brown sauce

another piece of lovely bread on its own. With a butter slab on top

some blueberries, strawberries and cherries

2 Quality St

licked the icing bowl as dh made fairy cakes and Nigella's chocolate cake. I don't even like chocolate cake much so will almost certainly be able to resist it. But not the fairy cakes, I can see one of those coming my way later.

2 sausages

lots of water
no exercise
didn't leave house, showered but am in pyjamas
will drink wine later
and we're having a poussin each + veg for supper

God, it's been a fab day though

I am going to have to drink wine tonight, am shattered after conducting evensong for the grand investiture of the Knights Templar(!). Quite an occasion.

WWW, every time I see your food lists, I feel hungry - you do pick the most delicious things. So, things around here get serious next week? My motivation is to go down a size and stay down and do this without actually dieting strictly. More a lifestyle change. Since I stopped running around so much after ds1 and ds2 my old clothes have gradually got tighter. I must stop putting sugar in my tea, butter on my bread - really basic stuff that I have always resisted doing. And I think a pedometer would be a good idea. I will join MI as a shameful owner of a non existant waist.

Tortoishell you have such a unique excuse to feel tired - I can't beat that ever.

Sobernow, good luck with the fundraising idea. It's an area I don't cover as all our events are paid for out of council tax .

lol tigermoth!

Guess what I've been doing today!!!

I bet you can't....

...have been buying chickens!!! We now have 3 who are clucking happily. I'll hopefully put a photo on later, especially for DuchessofNorksBride!

I have four words for you:

Tomorrow Is Another Day.

The tea party was rather lovely. not least because I ate party food and drank pink fizz?but today we went to see my parents (DD2 and my mum share a birthday). WHY OH WHY ON A COLD BLOODY DAY LIKE THIS DO THEY HAVE THE WINDOWS AND THE BACK DOOR OPEN???????????????????????
