I had no idea this was a thing on here. I have just last weekend sorted my hoard. I have been getting two beauty subscriptions a month and have a large family who all love to give beauty treatment gifts.

Doing work stuff now but will pop back on with pictures of my newly organised stock. Because I have been dying to find an outlet to show it off!! (It took 5 hours to sort through it!)

NiceUnusualDifferent · 23/11/2018 22:07

Would love to see your pictures stumped

I have gone a bit Black Friday crazy 🙊 got the new soap & glory wash & cream, 3 for 2 on Avene so stocked up on moisturiser, LRP retinol eye cream, IT cc cream, Vichy mineral 89, DHC oil, eyebrow pencil, shampoo and Olaplex 3 😮

RiskIt4Biscuit · 23/11/2018 23:21

I have gone black Friday crazy too; bought a Charlotte Tilbury face palette reduced by 40%, a Charlotte Tilbury nude lipstick kit with 3 nude lipsticks for £30 (reduced by 50%) and Atelier Cologne hand creams - one for me and two for my mum. They were reduced by 17%, so not a massive saving, but my mum really adores the brand (I don’t think she has tried the creams though) and I thought I would give it a go too.

NiceUnusualDifferent · 24/11/2018 06:31

Good bargains Risk I’ve never tried any Charlotte Tilbury although I did order the Aldi makeup dupes to try but they’ve not arrived yet

ouchyoubiteybugger · 24/11/2018 07:43

Hi all, I normally stick to the doghouse but I was out yesterday and ended up buying a load of smash box stuff for my dd's I think I got a good deal and lots of free brushes etc but will my teens like it ? Does anyone know about this range ?

ememem84 · 24/11/2018 08:49

ouch I’ve used smashbox before. I quite like it. The primers good. As are the eyebrow pencils. Not tried anything else.

Alicatz66 · 24/11/2018 09:41

I only bought my Liz Earle on Black Friday ... but also fell for a Jack Wills beauty advent calendar for my lovely 12 year old niece.. half price in Boots !

SuzeD29 · 24/11/2018 10:04

Finished a nivea soft moisturiser, face serum, korres sleeping facial. Had a long hot bath and just emptied the contents of anything that was almost empty on myself afterwards 😂

Caggie09 · 24/11/2018 11:21

Ive came across this thread a few times, and think it's time i joined!

Ive got skincare products festering in my drawers that im just not using! Its time i got them used up before rushing into Boots and buying things willy-nilly! Ive got a few lipsticks and glosses that im saving for a special occassionHmm The occassion never comes around! Dont know how many face masks ive got , they seem to be my downfall!

I have now got 4 advents, Elle, John Lewis, Glossybox and Jo Loves. These will top things up for most of the year and i hopefully wont buy much more!

This is a picture of all my shampoos and conditioners ive accumulatedBlush I wont need to buy any for years though?Grin

Used up a Lindsay Modelling Mask and the Thankyou Farmer Age Repair Toner (both Korean brands). I liked the mask but the packaging makes it hard to mix the powder with water. Loved the toner, huge bottle (130ml) so lasted ages!

I did purchase the Verso Dark Spot Corrector from Space NK, I put a gift voucher and points towards it and chose a free full size face mist from Herbivore as part of the Black Friday offer

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 25/11/2018 00:40

Sainsbury Lime showergel finished - nice . More limey than the Original Source one but not as moisturising.
Bought one from Aldi to replace it .

I have not bought any Black Friday bargains but I am waiting to collect a Nuxe set from M&S (20% off) .......

RJnomore1 · 25/11/2018 17:47

Back with another pile of empties

  1. Radox citrus shower gel. Ok for radox.
  2. Murad moisturiser. Quite nice.
  3. Small elemis pro collagen cream. Love.
  4. The second of my bargain Aussie 3 minute miracles
  5. Avon oils shampoo
  6. Another Dior rock n roll lipstick 😳
ememem84 · 25/11/2018 19:17

Clarins hydra quench face mask done. I’m not sure about this. Had enough for two more goes but slathered is all on. Yay. Now waiting the obligatory 10 minutes for my youthful hydrated face.

fringegrin45 · 25/11/2018 21:23

Oh hello 👋 please can I join?

I have found my tribe I think! I have been like this since I was a teenager, always loving opening a new shampoo etc. I never knew having an "empty" was an achievement for anyone else until now. None of my RL friends are like this.

I've been trying to cut back for about a year but the stash never seems to get smaller...

applesandpears33 · 25/11/2018 21:31

I've finally got a couple of empties - a protect and perfect eye serum and korres rose night cream. After a couple of years of cutting down I do think I have slightly less stuff than I did before. I've realised though that it takes me literally years to use up eyeshadows, blushers and eye liners.

Caggie09 · 25/11/2018 21:47

Ive already got rid of a few bitsGrin

• Lacura spray body moisturiser. Wouldnt buy again, plus its to cold to spray that on my naked skin!
• Lancer skin polish sample. Good, have plenty more scrubs backed up!
• Colgate max white mouthwash - meh.
• Essie mini all in one. Used as base coat, need to buy a new one!

twoblackdogs · 26/11/2018 11:54

If I may say so - I am a hero. I deserve a medal or something. For the first time in many years I resisted all Black Friday offers. I didn't buy anything. Still no calendars for me, too.

A hand cream is slowly coming to an end (a big one, btw, 200 ml).
L'oreal lip gloss binned. Too liquid and no staying power at all. Absolutely useless.

I don't know how you ladies manage to pan Urban Decay eye shadows. Mine still going strong, no pan in sight...

Suzyloo · 26/11/2018 12:30

Yesterday I finished a Superdrug Cucumber Cooling Clay Mask. Although it was in a sachet and only cost 99p (which to me says "single use"), I got at least three masks out of this, by decanting it into a plastic container which I kept in the fridge. It's excellent if you like a clay mask. I have another couple of Superdrug sachets to go.

ememem84 · 26/11/2018 12:37

@twoblackdogs it’s taken time. It’s only the third shade I’ve panned. For my every day eyes I use the same shadow until it’s done. Then move on to the next one. I think the shade I’ve just panned is “naked”

Ds also helped with the black one on the end by gouging a big ass hole in it. But that doesn’t count.

twoblackdogs · 26/11/2018 13:18

ememem
You are my inspiration then :)
So it can be done. I tend to use a bit from this and a bit from that, and probably that's why I never see the pan.
Will try your approach. If I understand correctly, you just work methodically and relentlessly through your stash. There are days I must remind myself to use it all. If I have paid a good money for all that, I must at least get something out of it, right? Am trying for no buy 2019, too. Let's see how it goes.

ememem84 · 26/11/2018 14:21

Yep. Just work through. #justbloodywearit

Am dreading the day I hit the blue one...a little bit’s ok but I don’t want to go full pat butcher!

I’m doing the same. No spends in 2019 unless I run out of something and need to replace.

I’m the same also with clothes. Am just wearing everything I have. Helps that we have no wardrobes at present and everything is hung on clothes rails. I can actually see what I have. No buying new unless necessary (or with a gift card)

RJnomore1 · 26/11/2018 21:08

@twoblackdogs you are now my role model

I fell for
The glossybox advent
Asos bobby brown box
Twoqvc tili boxes
And the elemis free hand wash offer

😳

Notreallyhere23 · 27/11/2018 08:57

2 empties-

A mini Sunday Riley Luna oil- love the oil but the dropper was too short to get the last bits out and it also wouldn’t pour out the bottle either so lost a good face worth’s. In the grand scheme of things not terrible but irritating all the same.

A Murad aha face wash- this was like the magic porridge pot, never bloody ending. It was nice but I was so bored of it, it was only a travel size as well.

Experiment627 · 27/11/2018 10:18

Wow! You guys have been busy!!! Will read through in a sec! Just want to report empties first!

  • Body Shop Adriatic Peony Body Wash 60ml: another advent item. Scent not to my liking
  • Childs Farm baby moisturiser 50ml: love this for me!!! Have bought full size as on offer
  • Aveeno baby soothing relief 29ml: good stuff for both me and Kwicklet- have bought full size
