Dog! Just re-read my last post, cursing auto correct! The handcream I finished up was NOT Institut Katie she's butter.....it was institut karite shea butter! 🤦🏼‍♀️😁

On a run though, have just finished off a Garnier BB cream + Blur. I liked this one and the tube I have just finished was a repurchase. There may be another one in the stash, along with all the other foundations and BB creams....working my way through and something I will not be buying anymore of until I really whittle down what I have in stock....it's a bit obscene Shock

Also just finished one of the squilliion perfumes I have. A superdrug Bloom Mandarin and Lime Basil EDT. Thought this was brilliant for the price, great wee desk drawer perfume that to me smelled passably like it's Jo Malone inspiration. Won't repurchase but only because I have litres of perfume in the house!

IPokeBadgers · 21/08/2019 08:40

*DOH!!!! Damn autocorrect!!! 😂

RiskIt4Biscuit · 21/08/2019 14:34

Finally finished a mac face and body foundation. I liked it to start with, but recently I've just been really unhappy with how it looked on my face. So used it on my legs when wearing dresses to get it used up.

Had to bin a maybelline age rewind concealer - it looked like there was some white growth in the lid. I do really like this one, and I think I have a spare one in my stash.

Have used up a Catrice tubing mascara. Love this one - cheap as chips, lasts well with smudging or flaking and looks great. I have some other mascaras, but will buy again.

LaVieilleHarpie · 21/08/2019 18:14

Used up a dry shampoo (and promptly repurchased) and a L'Oreal Elvive spray conditioner (will not repurchase. Was supposed to give me volume but instead just made my hair feel greasy).

Oofff... too. Much. STUFF.

ememem84 · 21/08/2019 22:26

Dove bar finished. About a million left in my soap stash though

moimichme · 22/08/2019 09:58

@LaVieilleHarpie I also love lilac but not lavender, and my lovely SIL has bought me this and it's delicious:

www.amazon.co.uk/Pacifica-Body-Butter-French-Lilac/dp/B003XMSQ4Y?tag=mumsnetforu03-21

Looks like they have soap and perfume as well (not sure what you were looking for in particular). Not cheap, but lovely stuff and it's also vegan!

cheesenpickles · 22/08/2019 11:52

I'm coming out of the woodwork as suggested by @ememem84 Grin

I've just thrown out three carrier bags full of hoarded (and sadly gone manky) make-up and a fourth bag is relatively unscathed but never going to get worn. I've managed to trim it right back and have adapted one my make up drawers into a MUST USE UP pile.

So, working through:
Make up revolution primer
Urban Decay Naked Skin foundation
Mac eyebrow pencil in Spiked
Mally beauty black kohl
Urban decay shadow in Vert
Mac eyeshadow in Goldmine
Urban Decay creme blush in Score
Mac Cream Colour Base in Hush
Mac 3D mascara in black
Mac mineralise powder in medium (this over 10 years oldBlushShock, I should probably throw it)
Fenty concealer (this is a recent purchase)

Forcing myself to use some of these up and ado throwing in my regulars. I never wear eyeshadow anymore and it's been a bit tricky adapting back. When I do wear it I always reach for neutrals like my UD naked 2 palette and all that glitters/woodwinked. If I get fed up of the coloured shadow I'm just going to have to ditch them as I have far too much.

So far realising how much I like the brow pencil (but keen to try some others now) and the Mac cream colour vase as a highlighter (but again desperate to try something new).

I've hit pan on a couple but really just need to be a bit more liberal with putting them on.

cheesenpickles · 22/08/2019 11:54

Oooh also just finished a Laura mercier primer which I loved but need to finish this one off before I get a new one/repurchase.

cheesenpickles · 22/08/2019 12:04

Also, has anybody tried out Glossier's haloscopes at all? Thinking for my next highlighter purchase.

cheesenpickles · 23/08/2019 20:53

Two things on my list to pick up were to try out a Smashbox primer and get an SPF. Went to a work event today and got all this swag... containing both. And there's beard oil which is very convenient as my husband has a huge beard. Grin

Blimey! Where does the time go!

I think I od-ed on advents last year... don't think I will do any this year 😱😱😱😱

Welcome @RoseyPeas !!!

I have one empty:

  • Body Shop Argan oil shower gel: really am not a fan of the smell but get gifted some each year 🙄

My usage has slowed right down... need to find away to tackle this with a near 1 yr old Kwicklet

ememem84 · 24/08/2019 11:08

@Experiment627 how is it almost a year already?! although saying that ds will be two in a month....

It is more difficult to use stuff up now we have littlies. As they are soooooo needy!!!! So I very rarely have time for a proper “get ready”

Although I’ve used up another jo Malone Lomé basil manderin body cream this morning.

On to full size palmers body lotion next.

LivingDeadGirlUK · 24/08/2019 12:41

Finished a travel size Lush pulp friction. I love this!

Also an aldi knock off frizz ease shampoo, not great.

LivingDeadGirlUK · 24/08/2019 12:43

@Experiment627 im using the argan oil shower gel at the moment and really like it! nice contrast to smelling too sweet with my previos chocolate shower cream.

Experiment627 · 24/08/2019 16:43

@LivingDeadGirlUK if I get anymore perhaps I can send them your way!

@ememem84 2 years old!!!!!! Where on earth does the time go????

I haven't finished anything but I started a BodyShop Coconut Sheah showergel , it is lovely . I'll buy a smallish one to take on holiday it'll be nice for the morning shower and keep the scented ones for evening .

I bought DH the BodyShop Ginger showergel, he said it's like washing with barley sugars Grin

ememem84 · 25/08/2019 10:47

@Experiment627 I know!!! He’s such a grown up now too!!! And the best big brother!

Empty - redken all soft shampoo. I finished the conditioner about two weeks ago. Liked this but it is fairly spendy.

What a beaut!!! Those huge eyes!!!!

RoseyPeas · 25/08/2019 15:14

Awww. So nice to see people's littlies.
They get a lot less cute as teens 😁😁

Thanks for the welcome!
In the last week I have used up...

NSpa Daily Scrub - only a cheapy but seems to do the job.

Calcot Spa bubble bath - didn't really like the smell but it was half price at Tesco 😆

Tesco citrus shower gel - would definitely buy again

Clinique eye cream - was really old - I don't really use eye cream (I think it was a freebie) wouldn't buy it.

Gave dd my apricot facial scrub (does that count?)

Working on using up Moroccan Rose Argan oil - smells nice but not sure I'd buy again.

Thanks so much for inspiring me to use up my toiletries stash. It makes me feel so good.

Now I just need to find a supportive thread to help me use up my endless supply of candles...

RoseyPeas · 26/08/2019 08:29

Forgot to mention that I also used up Dr Salts Dead Sea Bath. They have been kicking around for years and I seem to remember were quite pricey.
They don't even smell nice -won't be buying again!

LaVieilleHarpie · 26/08/2019 13:23

Waheyyy, used up a Champneys foot cream. Was good, gotta say, but I prefer to just put some coconut oil on my feet then wrap them in cling film for 10 mins or so. Won't repurchase.

Decleor Aroma Lisse (I think? Off the top of my head) eye cream. It's pretty great really, did a good job erasing dark circles, definite repurchase.

ememem84 · 27/08/2019 19:50

Guava face mask used up. Or it will be in 10 minutes or so when I peel it off my face.
