@CantChoose you are right, chapsticks do seem to go on and on..
Oh you had a baby last month, belated congrats!

I decided to toss out a GLAMGLOW Poutmud Wet Lip Balm Treatment as I had stomach bug last week. It was in a pot so I had to use a brush or finger, I always used my finger Blush so it felt pretty unhygienic to have had my finger in there and then touching my lips when I was sick.
As for the product itself, it felt fine on my lips had a minty smell/taste but don't think I'd rebuy.

Question: What if any makeup do you toss out after being sick?

CantChoose · 12/03/2019 07:51

@ememem84 I can't remember if I knew you were pregnant or not but congratulations!! And hurrah for a good scan, they're nerve wracking!

Experiment627 · 12/03/2019 17:24

Yay @ememem84 😍😍

Went in to Aldi today to pick up some hot cloth cleansers, but none instore. Also really wanted the moisturising facial wash but it seems to have been missing on the shelf for a few weeks! Was cheap and i liked it!Sad
I did purchase the LBM body wash and body lotion, thanks to this thread🙈 Also bought the charcoal mask. I really like Aldi beauty bits!

Empties; Mitchum shower fresh roll on. I used to have dark armpits, swapped from spray and they seem to have "lighted". Its my holy grail deo. Using a Sure roll on now, but stings when i apply. This one has alcohol as the first ingredient so suspect its that!
Frank body scrub. Holy grail. Have 2 more in back up. I bulk buy this stuff!!

Caggie09 · 13/03/2019 11:48

Space NK free spring gifts look good. Want to buy some £60 serums, but dont need them right now. But if i hold off, and wait maybe i wont get a good free gift🤯

woodhill · 13/03/2019 12:30

Nearly bought a Bobbi Brown cream eyeshadow but resisted. Did order a lipstick from M&S sale.

I've used up a French soap which was lovely and a small body lotion

Pennycandy · 13/03/2019 23:49

Tried a lip mask last night by KNC Beauty. It kind of felt like a thick jello mold on your lips lol. It stung a little when I first put it on and a few minutes after which is supposed to be the collagen.

Results: My lips didn't seem much bigger but that's okay. Prior to use my lips were pretty dry and chapped, afterwards they felt conditioned and hydrated without feeling greasy or oily or producty. There are 5 in the pack so I will use the rest and see if results keep up. So far not bad.

Experiment627 · 14/03/2019 11:41

I have an empty:

  • M&S Rose anti-perspirant deodorant spray: mum bought this in error as I prefer roll-ons... she got two...

AN empty at last: m and s lemon and lime bath foam 500ml. Excellent value for £3, but if you’re looking for value, the Waitrose ones are cheaper and nicer range of scents.

Ponks · 15/03/2019 22:28

Finished an AlphaH liquid gold. Gutted as it was the Rose version which I can't find online any more. Have a cheap glycolic toner from M&S to use but it's not as good as the AlphaH.

Caggie09 · 16/03/2019 07:15

Two more things ive got rid of!

Nip and fab dragons blood serum- I dont see any difference in my skin with this, and it doesnt excite me to use it so then i end up npt doing my skincare! This was the first serum i ever used when i wanted to add more in to my routine! Think its good as a starter product!

Beauty blender. It look gross, time for the bin!

Nearly spent £190 on SpaceNK to get the free gift. Left the contents in my basket to let it fester in my head, got an email to say free gift sold out, so i didnt part with my cash and add more stuff to my collection!🙈

Experiment627 · 16/03/2019 09:47

Wow you guys!!! We are doing SO well!!!!

I have decided not to buy anything more until we move... who knows when that will be so we will see if I hold out!

Some more empties:

  • Vita Coco coconut oil 250ml: mainly used on Kwicklet but still an empty
  • Body Shop Rose dewy glow face mist: tastes absolutely vile so I used on body
  • Caudalie micellar cleansing water 50ml: ok but not amazeballs
  • Hyasoft instant moisture boost 30ml: meh... did not feel particularly moisturising

SuzeD29 · 17/03/2019 13:55

Empties- matrix biolage strengthening shampoo, sample size tube of nip and fab extreme exfoliant, a facial oil and a directions hair dye 🙂

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 17/03/2019 21:11

L'Occitane 250ml Almond Shower Oil finished but I have a refill pouch so the bottle gets a reprieve Grin

Experiment627 · 18/03/2019 09:23

I have an empty:

  • Clarins eye contour gel 3ml: meh - was quite watery

Removed a lot from the stash today by donating unopened stuff I will never use. Huge bag to the local hygiene bank drop off. Got rid of approx 8 full size shower gels (things like radox that I had been given and wouldn't choose over my Molton brown and Rituals stash), 3 sealed full sized eyeshadow palettes (Revolution ones), couple of sealed mascaras, a cath kidson set, some Laura Geller stuff that I had accidentally doubled up on plus other miscellaneous bits and pieces.

Feel a bit Blush about having acquired all that and that it was all stuff I felt a bit 'meh' about. But good to get it out of the house, and good to know that it will be sorted and combined with other r donations to help women who are experiencing hygiene poverty. Can't even imagine what that would be like.

Also, bit embarrassed that it barely scratched the surface of the remaining stash. But hopefully it reminds me just how much I have and that I have to continue behaving sensibly in terms of future acquisition 😁

IPokeBadgers · 18/03/2019 19:16

And in a more legitimate, getting rid of stuff because I actually used it up, two empties....

An elemis pro collagen marine cream. Love this and have more in the stash due to an addiction to the QVC TSV offers.

A Boots No 7 Protect and Perfect Intense Advanced Night Cream. Have another one in the stash due to the Boots Christmas Star Gift....like it well enough and it's a decent budget option when bought as part of a set.

Caggie09 · 18/03/2019 21:27

Ive never actually used up a full blusher before in powder form! Opened this Nars blusher when i got it in the Liberty advent a year ago. It was okay, i have another one to use up. But opening a pixi duo blush, will report that in a few years timeGrin

Simple refreshing face wash. No idea when i bought this, or where it came from?! Was good, would prefer moisturing though!

Sarah champman sheet mask: was okay, paired it with the overnight face serum.

Really fancy the Look fantastic beauty eggs. Anyone had them before?! Its my birthday next month and think i might treat myself!

Experiment627 · 19/03/2019 08:55

Lovely to "see you" again @IPokeBadgers 😘

I have an empty:

  • Body Shop almond milk & honey body lotion 200ml: love this! Goes on so well and smells divine.
OP posts:
WellTidy · 19/03/2019 09:04

Good work with your donations IPoke. I've offered our lovely cleaner unopened things from my stash in the past for her and her daughter, and she has always been pleased to receive them. I don't have anything unopened left, despite the stash being so enormous, or I would do the same.

An empty: Waitrose Wild fig and sandalwood shower gel 250ml. I was using it as bubble bath for the DC every evening to use it up. It is lovely but I will not re-purchase as I will buy proper bubble bath when I use up the remaining shower gels in the stash (of which there are masses). Lush Rose Jam next.

Pennycandy · 20/03/2019 01:30

I used up a First Aid Beauty (FAB) Ultra Repair Cream (sensitive skin) foil packet. You can use it from head to toe. I used it on my face. Wasn't bad, pretty hydrating and not too greasy. Would consider purchasing a full size once I go through my other face moisturizers.

Experiment627 · 20/03/2019 09:49

I have two empties:

  • Body Shop almond milk & honey shower cream: love this - very gentle and smells divine
  • Omorovicza moor cream cleanser 30ml: meh and I did not like the smell or texture
OP posts:
Caggie09 · 20/03/2019 17:15

Elemis marine cream. I use this on my neck. Cant report results yet. Ill know in a few years wether moisturising that area is worth itGrin

Went into Boots, picked up a toothpaste as nearly running out and picked up two 7th heaven face mask for 25p each. There marketed for men, really unsure why, probably because its mint flavouredHmm Ill add them to my face mask stash anyway and hope i dont grow a penis when i use themGrin

Caggie09 · 20/03/2019 17:17

Ive also used the omorovicza moor cleanser before. I dont think its that special tbh, pretty sure i watched a video on youtube and someone used it as a face mask too!

Experiment627 · 20/03/2019 18:34

@Caggie09 😂😂😂😂😂 I really hope you do not grow a penis!!!!
