BodyShop Ginger Shampoo - I use it occasionaly with the conditioner when my scalp is flakey but I know my DS likes this one as his daily use .
Replaced this as its a staple.

Showerge; (DH) Original Source

Caggie09 · 04/03/2019 17:21

Jo loves pomelo shampoo and conditioner. Square bottles are a pain the arse to squeeze product out. My hair smelt good though. Have far to many shampoos in back up to try anyway.

Jo malone LBM, hand and body wash. Another square bottle, full size product has a pump so willing to forgive and repurchase. I love it so much!

Jo malone LBM perfume sample. I need this perfume in my collection!

N07 hot cloth cleanser. Used for years, want to try a new one after ive finished my other one!

Feather and down pillow spray. I like this, would buy again. Might be placebo, but u think it works. This works one to crack on with now!

Experiment627 · 04/03/2019 18:25

@Alicatz66 yes I prefer the Body Shop one too - feels more hydrating

@NormaLouiseBates thanks for the bubble bar tip!

@Caggie09 I am addicted to LBM too - have you tried Aldi No 1 - I think it is a dead ringer

I have two empties:

  • Bobbi Brown smokey eye mascara: I loved this!!!! Volumising and did not flake
  • Filorga micellar water 50ml: I really liked this; unscented and gentle

Hello!
I've been lurking on this site for a little while now and loving the idea of working together and supporting the empties cause lol. Hopefully you don't mind me joining however I'm in the US so some of my empties some of you guys might not be super familiar with but I'm sure some will be. Looking forward to clearing out my stash lol!

Caggie09 · 05/03/2019 08:04

Experiment Ive got the EDT, the lasting powers not great! Might have to give the hand wash a whiff though!

Pennycandy, ohh i cant wait to hear what american goodies you have. You guys have some great things!!

Ive got rid of my first ever nail polish in my life🙈 m&s autograph in baby pink. Very pretty colour. Essies my go to for nail polish!

Experiment627 · 05/03/2019 20:51

Welcome @Pennycandy !!! I look forward to hearing about your empties. I love CVS and Walgreens and watch lots of US You Tubers so mention away 😍

Two more empties over here:

  • Superdrug Naturally Radiant day cream: just fine and has SPF
  • Alpha-H clear skin daily face wash 30ml: yuck I hate tea tree oil! What a watery disappointment this was.

Experiment627 · 07/03/2019 09:25

Two more empties:

  • Lush enchanted eye cream 45g: hmm on the fence about this - I guess my eye area has got no worse using this
  • M&S Formula Absolute Ultimate Sleep Cream 50ml: my Holy Grail night cream, will but some more as soon as I use up the samples of night creams I have

Really boring one from me- Revlon colourstay foundation. Holy grail for me.

Ponks · 07/03/2019 22:44

Finished:

  • BodyShop vanilla body spray, I love vanilla but prefer the EDT version as the body spray is a bit weak
  • Boots Lift night cream, they do several versions and this was the most expensive (yellow pot) but to my mind not as nice as the basic Lift night cream
  • threw away a sample of Clinique foundation, liked the texture but the colour was just wrong for me
  • finished several mini Superdrug shower gels which I'd bought in bulk over a year ago for taking to the gym, they all smelt lovely too so I'll be back looking for more
  • Estée Lauder lip pencil finally had to be retired as it was so short I couldn't turn it in the sharpener any more. I should have made a note of the name as I really like it, not too nude and not too pink. But won't replace as I have another lip pencil to use first, just not as nice a colour
70isaLimitNotaTarget · 08/03/2019 10:22

Small Elemis shower gel. I got the Milk Bath (full size) and the Shower Gel (Travel) at Christmas .

It's not something I'd buy again, there are nicer ones .

LivingDeadGirlUK · 08/03/2019 13:40

So I have finished a 150ml Soap and glory hand food, I love this but have a couple of other hand creams to use up before thinking about repurchasing. It's not as nice as clarins but much better on the bank balance!

I've also had to throw away an elizabeth arden compact which must have got knocked in my bag and the blusher cake has just shattered and made a mess everywhere :( It was a really handy little pallet with 2 neutral eyeshadows, two lip gloss and the blush, perfect for the handbag!

Experiment627 · 09/03/2019 09:05

I have an empty:

  • Lush mask of magnaminty: not my favourite and seemed to go off quite quickly (I kept using though)
OP posts:
Experiment627 · 09/03/2019 11:50

Another empty!!!

  • Last sachet from a pack of 4 of Nuage Oatmeal soothing bath soak: very soothing and not bad for the Pound Shop!

Used up an esteemed Lauder face wash and a Burts Bees moisturiser,

Still have loads of stuff but ploughing on

Pennycandy · 09/03/2019 21:13

Thank you for the welcome @Caggie90 and @Experiment627! I haven't really finished anything too exciting just a chapstick and Davines Natural Tech Replumping and Compacting Fluid (for hair). I didn't see much plumping and the smell, eh.

I have been trying to use up products since Oct. of last year but only been tracking since this year. I am on a no buy or low buy lol. Although I may have recently bought an E.L.F Neutralize and Conceal palette and ordered from Sephora some Urban Decay Perversion mascara and eye liner (but hey it was 50% off for the bundle!) and got some Drunk Elephant face wash and moisturizer. And my sub box may have slightly added to the stash but nothing too terrible.
I feel like I am at the point of not getting too many empties real soon but maybe some small things.

Apologies for the kind of long intro!

Pennycandy · 09/03/2019 21:19

I'm sorry I meant @Caggie09! not Caggie90

Ponks · 10/03/2019 10:41

Finally finished an M&S beige lipstick I've had for years. Debating whether to throw out a Bourjois rouge velvet liquid lipstick as it never seems to apply properly or last. Think it gets a weeks trial then will be binned if it doesn't perform.

Caggie09 · 10/03/2019 17:42

Ive came far in life with never using a dry shampoo, until a few month ago. Im converted! Used up a Batiste dry shampoo and volume 50ml. I wouldnt know whar makes a good dry shampoo but it sorted my greasy roots and gave my hair "ommph"! Will repurchase this. Have a mini aussie one to use up nextSmile

NormaLouiseBates · 10/03/2019 18:43

A few more empties this week - god, it's so satisfying!

  • L'Occitane Flora Hand Cream - this was a mini size from a gift set I think; can't actually remember, but it's really lovely. I would definitely buy this again but have got a few others to use up first.
  • Treacle Moon Coconut Island Bath & Shower Gel from Ocado. Huge bottle, only £3.00 for 500ml. It smelt lovely but it was a bit drying and I got bored as it lasted ages so wouldn't buy it again.
  • Body Shop Almond Milk & Honey shower cream - this smelt absolutely gorgeous and wasn't drying at all but it didn't lather very well at all (I need lots of bubbles in the shower!) so I probably wouldn't buy it again. I've got a Shea shower cream to use next so hoping that one is a bit more bubbly.
  • Urtekram Organic Coconut Body Scrub - another one from Ocado. Didn't like this at all, it was sort of greasy which was weird. Wouldn't buy it again. Much prefer the Lush Rub Rub Rub scrub which I've got a tub of to use next.
CantChoose · 11/03/2019 05:08

I haven't been quite so good with the beauty regime since the arrival of BabyCant for obvious reasons! Can't believe he's a month old already!
I've used a sample tube of Elemis pro collagen moisturiser. I absolutely love this but can't justify the cost and I've started to get a few spots already so probably won't suit me for long - I loved pregnancy skin, dreading my acne returning.
I've also used a beauty box micellar water, can't remember the brand but I hadn't heard of it before. I don't think I really get micellar water, I seem to need a mountain of cotton wool before my face is clean!

CantChoose · 11/03/2019 05:09

@Pennycandy finishing a chapstick is amazing! I swear those things regrow overnight!

WellTidy · 11/03/2019 08:56

Norma Mumsnet did a test of the Body Shop Almond Milk and Honey range when it was launched a few years ago. It was (then) marketed at people with skin conditions such as eczema, promising not to irritate. I tried it and I like it, and I agree that it isn't drying, but it isn't moisturising enough for me. I really rate the bog standard Aveeno for that.

Seems that I haven't had an empty for ages and ages as I am using mostly full size products. The only empties I have to report are 30ml Elemis shampoo and conditioner, which I got when DH stayed at a smart hotel. Would not purchase as too expensive, but I didn;'t rate them either - hair felt dirty too quickly.

Has anyone used the Aveeno body yoghurt moisturiser? I have started on a 200ml tub and I am not sure it is doing anything at all.

CantChoose · 11/03/2019 09:17

wellTidy I don't like the Elemis hair stuff either, I find it quite thin and cheap feeling. Disappointing as I usually love Elemis!

ememem84 · 11/03/2019 22:12

Fell off thread again.

Have finished:

Body shop eyeliner pen in black
Johnson’s baby soap bar

Still working on the soap and glory face wash and the huge bottle of micellar water.
