fedup glad you got a bag you love. I met a woman the other day who really reminded me of you and your style. Cropped loose trousers, loose jumper and shirt and those platform brogue type shoes. Such a relaxed and stylish look.

Busy week here too. I’m busy retraining as well as working but I have today off. Just been to Lidl to stock up on Prosecco Grin

MarshaBradyo · 26/10/2018 16:06

I did a quick outnet basics beach shop with the extra 40% off. Not sure how much I’ll keep but worth a try. Will link if ok

I’ve actually really enjoyed half term. The older dc are more of a help than a hinderance which is pretty good!

One good luck for the move

Anyone dressing up for Halloween?

MarshaBradyo · 26/10/2018 16:07

Lib sounds full on, have a good rest

Longislandicetee · 27/10/2018 09:36

Morning! What a beautiful sunny morning I haven't been outside yet to experience the 2 degrees temperature. I sent my Burberry trench coat to the dry cleaners yesterday as it seems that the window for wearing it this Autumn was about a month!

One, all the best with your move back North. Lib, hope you have had an easy Saturday after a hectic week! Marsha, no not dressing for Halloween. For the first time in about 6 years i am not doing a Halloween party, as i decided to be sensible for a change and give myself a break with everything else going on in my life. The kids have been totally fine with it, and are excitedly getting the Halloween boxes out to decorate the house, as we are still doing that. Since dd was a toddler, every year we make decorations for the house adding to the previous year's decorations and bake Halloween themed cupcakes. Our Halloween decorations rival our Christmas ones

So after much dithering for weeks, and reading about all the different options, i finally landed on which Beauty Advent calendar i am getting for myself this year. The Jo Malone beauty calendar should be arriving in a few days!

I have been browsing the Selfridges website and love the Saint Laurent bag. I have nowhere to go so will just have to admire it from afar. I do however keep hovering the finger over this Saint Laurent leopard print cashmere blend scarf. I think i am hesitating because i know i would be ditzy enough to lose it somewhere

MarshaBradyo · 27/10/2018 09:43

Oh I love both Blingy and think you should get them!

I can imagine your beautiful house looking really lovely with Halloween decorations. I’ve got to find the time to see the black cat outfit for dd today.

QueenCyan · 27/10/2018 12:30

That bag is divine blingy, do buy it. I’m not fussed about the scarf, seems expensive for what is is but can imagine it’ll suit you.

I bought a big purchase (for me). I have a navy pea coat but it’s always felt a bit on the short side and I even been after a longer coat for a couple of years but never found anything right. Until this one. It’s more than I wanted to pay but it’s beautiful and I love it. The only slight concern is the poppers to do it up but as long as I’m careful with them they shouldn’t come off. I was gong to sell the peacoat to raise funds for this but actually they’re two entirely different coats and will keep it.

one hope the move is going ok.

Fairysnow · 27/10/2018 14:12

Fedup, I have a black Bayswater. It would have the best cpw of anything I own.

Queen, love the Whistles coat - classic piece.

Blingy, get the scarf. It is leopard perfection.

Longislandicetee · 27/10/2018 15:22

Lovely coat QueenC.

The bag and scarf are in the basket but am wobbling because I don't really need either.

FedUp Bayswater is such a classic. It's beautiful but i find it so heavy! You're arms will be nice and toned after a while Grin

Marsha your dd will look so cute dressed as a cat. That's what ds is dressing as and he looks fab.

FedupNagging · 28/10/2018 13:19

Agree with Fairy, the Whistles coat is such a classic - you'll get loads of wear out of it Queen Thanks for your style compliment Queen - always good to hear Smile

I'm not a 'big coat' fan particularly (too hot, too bulky) but there are some great styles and colours around this season; I tried on this cocoon coat in red but is just too oversized for 5ft me. However, these two coats have just caught my eye:
Gorgeous berry colour
Love a funnel neck

Bingy what a fabulously sparkly YSL bag-are you sure you've nowhere to go?! My bayswater is the small version (East West?) so luckily not too heavy. As much as I like an oversized bag, my neck and back are not quite so keen!

I am most definitely not dressing up for Halloween but your dd will look so cute as a cat Marsha; I have a huge bag of chocolate bars for any trick or treaters who come knocking so am not completely bah humbug about it hope no-one knocks so I can scoff the lot

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 28/10/2018 13:30

well, I'm all moved. Just dp to follow in a months time. Mostly unpacked, just a little bit left to do but i can do that over a few days now

kittyhello · 28/10/2018 21:12

Hello, I've had a crazy month with no time to pop in, but have a calm November so will hopefully be around more

One hope the move went well and you won't be too lonely without dp.

Blingy I love the sparkly bag and scarf but if they're going to lie redundant in your wardrobe are you sure you want to buy them?

Fedup great bag, I love a classic black bag.

Queen I'm glad you've found the right coat, as much as I like pea coats I need a bum skimming one for winter.

Dry well done on the promotion, and also for climbing up a mountain.

Justa I loved all your purchases, the leopard skirt is fab

No purchases here for me although I've thought of a belated birthday present from dh to me and tried it on at the airport, they didn't have it in the colour or metal that I wanted so will have to take a trip into town to purchase it. Was so pleased when the SA told me I the size was a PM, I don't have fat wrists after all Grin

Clic clac although I did try a grey one on and thought hmm........

Can someone identify Ali Astal's pouch for me, I know it's LV but is a women or mens and is is a pouch or a wash bad? I think Amber changed name but can't remember it has a men's LV washbag and uses it as a clutch.

LV bag

Dry her style, Ali Astall's, reminds me of yours, pared down, classic, she does layering well and has a great collection of classic bags too. She doesn't wear anything too outlandish it's simple but looks well put together.

QueenCyan · 28/10/2018 21:29

Lovely kitty. No idea about the bag but I think amber did have a mans pouch.

No fantasy shopping today but I did go real shopping. For dd2 as she’s grown out of all last winters stuff but going through JL this caught my eye. I did a quick try on and bought it but just need to check how the shade of green suits me in real daylight but I really like it so hope it’s a keeper. I also made the mistake of introducing dd1 to topshop as now she loves it and I’ve lined Phil’s pockets with money after buying jeans for her today.

QueenCyan · 28/10/2018 21:36

If we’re 25 years years younger I would have this jacket and this skirt

QueenCyan · 28/10/2018 21:37

That should say if I were....

QueenCyan · 28/10/2018 21:44

this jumper caught my eye as so lovely and bright and I was very tempted to try this on but was good and didnt.

DryWhiteagainW · 29/10/2018 10:48

Some lovely links :
Blingy I read “I have nowhere for it to go” thought Hmm....sorry, but you actually need that bag. The scarf would go with so much to.

Kitty I seem to recall you trying Mara’s bracelet at the MU, glad you’re getting it, looked so good on you.

QueenC I really like that Hush teal blouse, a nice shade.

Getting an outfit right is more than just putting on a load of garments. Yesterday I wore an outfit that should have worked, but the proportions were a tiny bit out and instead of feeling really cool I felt frumpy.
Red Zara coat., with black leanther skinnies, black merino sweater, white trainers, Mulberry cashmere check scarf, MJ grey bag. BUT the leather skinnies were about 4cm too long and rumpled over my trainer, looking loose......Hmm I think to make trainers and skinnies look good skinnies need to be ankle length and very tight.

Today I think I’m working:
Berry tailored shirt SB Jigsaw coat
Chunky pale grey roll neck
Black TS Jamie night waisted skinnies cuffed to the top of my
Russell and B black block her.ed Chelsea boot
MJ grey cross body
Mulberry cashmere plaid scarf
Feel better

DryWhiteagainW · 29/10/2018 10:51

Oh and studying again after years is a bit difficult Hmm......I haven’t done maths formally since 1983 Shock......Sad… I’m going to need a lot of practice and Gin Gin Gin

kittyhello · 29/10/2018 12:25

Dry I thought that outfit looked great on you although I couldn't see the length of your trousers up close. I really liked the scarf it looked great with the coat.

Studying is always hard initially but once you get back into it you'll be fine and will feel a huge sense of achievement once you're working at the higher level.

I'm pondering on a leopard skirt, Justa have you worn yours yet? I feel as if I need one but will I wear it? I'm trying to step out of my safe comfort zone. So far I only wear leopard acessories and not as an item of clothing.

DryWhiteagainW · 29/10/2018 14:13

Thanks Kitty xxxx

ambernectarine · 29/10/2018 15:14

That, kitty, is the pochette from a Neverfull in the Damier Azur. Can be purchased new on some LV selling sites for c £250-300, as not everyone keeps it.

kittyhello · 29/10/2018 15:28

Thanks Amber I knew I could rely on you Wink will take a look.

QueenCyan · 29/10/2018 21:45

dry shame the outfit didn’t work as it sounds great. I too prefer skinnies on the ankle but in the depths of winter I will wear them longer and bunched up around my ankles.

I’m wearing a uniform a lot at the moment and cycling to work so feel like I’m not wearing my clothes. It’ll be easier to cycle in normal clothes in spring but right now I need baselayers and fleeces with leggings. I definitely need to start making more effort on my days off otherwise it’s easy to get stuck into the leggings/sweatshirt mentality (I can hear you all shuddering at the thought Grin).

QueenCyan · 29/10/2018 21:48

JUst doing a bit of browsing...
for dry

QueenCyan · 29/10/2018 22:13

love these but don’t think they’d suit me

QueenCyan · 29/10/2018 22:16
