Is anyone else looking for Halloween party ideas? Dd is going as a tiny kitten in black but I need ideas!

MarshaBradyo · 21/10/2018 18:19

Dry did you survive?

Shop how’s your new hair new you feeling?

shopafrolic · 21/10/2018 18:22

Brilliant! It really suits you, looks fantastic

DryWhiteagainW · 21/10/2018 20:47

Hello! I made it no rescue needed, only a decent quantity of Gin to recover afterwards.

OMG Queen both if those shoes are divine. Love, love, love the green Pom Pom Aquazurras especially. So beautiful. Like Mara I’m a big fan of forest green.

QueenCyan · 22/10/2018 21:37

I’ve been meaning to say that sadly I can’t make 1 December anymore Sad. Dh was asked to swap his oncall weekend so is now working. He’s off the following weekend but I already have plans.
I’ll look at jan/Feb dates. Although of course you guys can carry on and meet up anyway as I think there were a few that could make it.

MarshaBradyo · 22/10/2018 21:46

Ah me too I was hoping to move to early next year dates if that’s ok? I think there were a few maybes. Although if you go ahead of course do!

Blair how are things haven’t seen you for a while, hope all ok

Had a wonderful day with breakfast at The Shard, Tate Modern then Scott’s. Blimey what a day!

Wore MSGM dress, Marant cardigan, Marant belt and Lanvin boots with 20 denier tights, felt nice to get out if jeans and walk around in the sun

maradesbois · 23/10/2018 18:21

Am fine to do mu in the new year too.

Shop glad you’re so happy with your fab new cut.

Marsha sounds like a perfect day. Did you see the clock at Tate?

I am so exhausted! Worked all weekend, will get the time back but so tired right now I cant think of any more chat. So happy with the half moon bag though.

Dreamqueen · 23/10/2018 18:35

I can do MU early (January) in New year too.

Love the hair Shop

No style and beauty news here. It's all very uninspiring in the shops at the moment for me.

shopafrolic · 24/10/2018 11:53

I could probably do New Year too. Pre Christmas is a definite no unfortunately.

Dream I hope your health is continuing to improve.
Not a lot of fashion news although I am absolutely loving the &OS red roll neck jumper I got. Really fab.

Brill - I’ll put some dates down for everyone, let me know if there’s any you know you can’t do already and I’ll exclude them

Mara I did and I also absolutely loved Jenny Holzer (electronic ticker installation) so good.

QueenCyan · 24/10/2018 19:21

I’ve just checked the diary for next year and it’s not looking good for me sadly. Ds has things that I need to be around for and I’ve also got another girly weekend planned and also dh is working. Boo.

I’m fashion news has anyone seen today’s Times magazine? Apparently skinnies are too stay and not over at all. The new way of wearing them is on the ankle. Check. High waisted. Check. With a blouse tucked in at the front and back hanging out. Check. For once I’m on trend Grin

Longislandicetee · 24/10/2018 21:35

Never mind QueenC, you will have to make do with our quick mini MU next week!

QueenC, do you remember you posted some lingerie on here at the weekend? I think you linked it "one for your husbands". I sent it to dh for a laugh. Anyway didn't think anymore of it, until this morning when i needed to quickly link something off a website for dh. I am jammed on a packed commuter train with everyone taller than me so they can see my phone. I open my web browser, and up pops the last thing i had looked at....the coco de mer playsuit. Oh god. I just wanted the ground to swallow me up!

QueenCyan · 24/10/2018 22:14

Grin Grin

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 24/10/2018 22:18

oh blingy Grin Grin

well, i'm all packed up ready to go, just a few bits to pack last thing friday morning. my neighbours have told me they are going to miss me and my housemates have said the same.

DryWhiteagainW · 25/10/2018 06:56

Good luck with the move One

Blingy so funny!

Trying to be good spend wise....so boring.
Tried a bit of colour blocking yesterday at work.......Berry purple skirt with fusia jumper ..... NO BLACK......felt very bright but think it worked.

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 25/10/2018 07:34

thanks dry it'll be fine now all the packings out of the way, i just get myself so wound up over moving, i hate doing it, its just so stressful no matter how well prepared you are!!

Colour blocking sounds good Dry i've been doing similar with a burgundy skirt and red cardigan (after the discussion about those colours on thread) it does work even though my brain tells me it shouldn't! I might try it with my bright pink cashmere sweater as well, it might be good might be bad but i won't know until i try it! i also have a purple fine cord skirt i could try the pink sweater with as well

FedupNagging · 25/10/2018 11:05

I'm sitting in a lovely sunny spot in quiet coffee shop; what better time for a quick catch up.

Blingy. "That doesn't look too comfy" was my first thought!

Good luck with your move One

The first few weekends in Jan are looking busy for me so far; conversely am now free 1st Dec!

Dream I agree with you re nothing very inspiring around atm. I can't decide whether it's me having a mini fashion wobble or not though!

I panic bought a pair of leather Chelsea boots from Next recently which are improving with wear, also a Selected Femme black dress - the closest in style to the sold out Whistles Lola.

Finally, Voguettes, I have purchased a bag woo hoo. A vintage small mulberry Bayswater and absolutely love it.

Will do links/pics in a minute

FedupNagging · 25/10/2018 11:15

I know you all are well aware of what a Bayswater looks like but I thought I'd add a pic anyway 😂

The boots look terrible in the photo but look so much on with skinnies

Gorgeous Fedup!

libertyonhertravels · 26/10/2018 11:32

Blingy that is such a 'only you' faux pas!!

Fedup love the bag - the Bayswater really is a classic - enjoy Smile

One I can't believe you are leaving London - wishing you all the best for your next adventure.

I am shattered - such a busy week. We were in Central Otago biking last weekend, then I was in Hawkes Bay in the north island with a work conference this week. Has been full on. Weather was stunning for a few days but suddenly cold and wet again now. Looking forward to chilling out for the weekend.
