Viva I would say cropped too - kick flare crops maybe? Gorgeous colour. I hope you can make them work.

vegas I have the same problem. I think jeans need to be cropped but it’s getting that bit of bare skin right that’s hard...

It suits me better when I have a boot with a dipped front and less obvious skin on show but I worry that looks dated compared to the higher ankle boots.

I have grey pairs of both type of boots so have done a lot of experimenting Grin

Good to see those photos, thank you. The cropped ones definitely look better with the taller boots.
I'm a short ar** so not sure cropped kick flares would do me any favours!
The boots are lovely, really soft leather and a nice colour but I want to be able to wear them with jeans as well as skirts and dresses.

I’m not short but my legs are in comparison with my body so cropped flares are rubbish on me too unless I have v high herls

Report
DryWhiteagainW · 09/10/2018 20:24

I tried cropped flare jeans (with raw edge to boot) haven’t recovered from the shock

And had a great chat with DD this evening.....
“Imagine if Bradley Cooper was my dad.....”
Me “I’m imagining”!!!!Grin

Haha I like the Bradle too

I saw a clip of a model practically falling apart at being asked to model for VS. Amazing. Cheapo mass market stuff. They’ve really got the ‘angel’ thing down pat.

Has anyone been watching Killing Eve? Just watched the first couple of episodes, & although she is a pyschopath, kind of crushing on the assassin. Her clothes rock.

Funny Stokey I’ve just watched the first two episodes this evening. The actress is very good. Like Sandra O too. Quirky

Poor you Blair that sounds horrible - thank goodness babyblair didn't get it.

Lovely boots vegas but the styling with jeans is tricky. The thing with the little gap between the top of the boot and the start of the jeans is that it looks good when people are posing for insta shots but in real life when you have to sit down the jeans hem rides up and suddenly half a calf is on show is less glamorous!

Mara you sound like you are thoroughly enjoying the new job Smile

I've done a wee bit more S/S shopping, these navy shorts which are very flattering and
sandals which look great with jeans, shorts and dresses Smile and are super comfy!

Blair you poor thing, I’m glad little babyblair didn’t get it badly though.

Stokey you’ve inspired me to watch that next

Mara your job sounds great, I’m going to download that book (finished the other one Shock worth it though)

Lib love those. And Witchery!! Ah I could shed a nostalgic tear. I remember it from early 90s so well.

Stokey that's on my list to watch next. I love her. Can't recall what I last saw her in but remember her being brill. I just finished watching Trust directed by Danny Boyle and with a great cast - recommended by Dry - all about the Getty kidnapping. Really enjoyed it.

sorry you've been ill blair hope you are feeling better soon and glad babyBlair didn't catch it

have started packing, i leave in two weeks roughly. ugh, so much to do so little time. Doesn't help that dp has been away this week and a lot of it i can't do alone as I am NOT allowed to go climbing to get things and reaching over things and end up hurting myself. I already managed to dislocate my knee a couple of weeks ago so DP is being strict with me about not over doing it!

She was also in a drama about a woman who was kidnapped, with the wonderful Richard Rankin as the detective. Can’t remember the name of it, she’s v good at unusual women.
I’m glad you enjoyed ‘Trust’ Shop

Good grief, the new IOS update has changed everything. If you thought my posts were a load of nonsense you’ve seen nothing yet 😩

Eugh, I had my flu jab yesterday and as well as having a sore arm I’m now feeling achy all over. Means it’s working apparently as my body is having an immune response.

one can’t believe you go so soon.

I’ve decided to stick to skinnies for winter as they’re just the most practical thing. For me the I think cropped jeans/boots thing needs to be more mainstream as otherwise I risk looking a loon here so expect to see me in it in 4 years Grin. A lot of my jeans are looking tired so I’ve just bought some new Levis and got them hemmed at the perfect length for me (they do it free in the shop). They were 32s and I must have had about 4 or 5 inches off them but they sit where I like above the ankle. Was tempted to do the same with straight legs but will wait till the spring/summer.

I tried on a couple of dresses in jigsaw too-the less said the better Grin. My thickened menopausal waist now looks better in fit and flare styles with waists rather than the straight up and down tunic relaxed style I prefer.

marsha I agree with silk and beach. Cover ups should be cheap imo!

Where are you all?? I’m at work on my lunch and was hoping to catch up on the thread!

Feeling much better today-aches have gone and arm only slightly sore! Wearing my usual outfit of navy jeans, skinnies, silver trainers. But if feels good.

What’s everyone else wearing today?

Report
MarshaBradyo · 11/10/2018 12:49

Light acne jeans, pale pink t, green Stella coat and white Marant trainers

Wish I could think of something other than jeans to wear

I know queenC it's coming round fast. feel so sad to be leaving but it's the way it has to be. family has to come first

Dps back tonight and working from home tomorrow so should be able to start getting on with boxing things up that aren't needed between now and me/him leaving. I suppose just boxing one room up is going to be easier than an entire flat though!

OOTD has been black tights, dark blue shorts, a dungeons and dragons slogan t-shirt and a sloppy grey ribbed boyfriend cardigan. comfy enough but the cardigan does really need replacing tbh, it's looking a bit scruffy now even though it's one of my favourites

Looking forward to seeing Marsha's matches haul! I got the code too but need to have a look. Could always get another Gucci bag to eBay for a profit Blush

Stokey the outfit from killing eve with the pink dress and boots actually made me think of you (or either of your DDs!) actually.

DS has his first jabs yesterday. He was very good and just went to sleep after the initial shock Smile I think I was more traumatised, especially by the massive poosplosion I had to deal with at the doctors SadEnvy
