Anyone else freaked out by the sheer volume of Black Friday emails Shock
Hardly anything I wanted is in the sale. Just ordered two sweaters from Stories with 20% off code as possible Christmas gifts for me from MrShop and an artichoke from OKA. I have become artichoke obsessed Grin
Other than that - I am going to hide away and eat chocolate with a cuppa before miniShop comes home.

Hi all, have tried to catch up a bit. I have had a crap week too. Another falling out with you know who ( for those who have met me!)
Lib hugs for you my lovely. As the others have said you have had such a big change, you are kind of grieving for your old life, give yourself time. Be kind to yourself and I hope you start to feel better soon. The boss situation for you and stokey sounds horrible. Why do people have to behave like that!
shop I am feeling overwhelmed by all the discounts. I feel anxious about missing out Blush
I need to get an eye cream while all the discounts are on. I might go for this www.omorovicza.com/uk/skincare/eye-creams/reviving-eye-cream.html with the 30% off and cashback its just about palatable.
Popped into Bicester earlier and bought these from maje
jumper not sure about it now. I think it makes me look fat. Might take it back and get a credit note.
these jeans but in black they are not as skinny as the pic and look good with boots under as the hem is wide enough.

welcome to red love the pictures! hope you will stick around!
Love that pic Marsha it could actually be you!
Great dress dry looks very versatile.

count me in for the MU its still a long way off but I think I can make it.

A wave to everyone I have missed. Will be back later xx

Stokey · 23/11/2018 18:34

Sorry you've had a bad week too Justa, looks like you made some good buys though. I was considering buying something from Deciem, my buffet has just run out & was thinking of trying their copper stuff but it's not on offer. But I do have a whole M&S advent calendar under my bed so it seems wrong to buy beauty stuff!

I went to a sample sale at Pyrus - small brand from Shoreditch - today where they were selling lots of old season stuff. I ended up buying a shirt, cami and three dresses including this one and a maxi version of this, all far cheaper than on line.

I would definitely go again, all their stuff is silk and hand printed in small runs so feels lovely.

I've bought a couple of BF things for the DDs Shop. Quite a few Lego deals on Amazon and GAP PJs for Xmas but quite pleased to have spent most of my money in a small business and ignored the barrage of emails!

MarshaBradyo · 23/11/2018 18:51

Justa brilliant will add you to the list. Love both of those. I can’t inagine you looking anything other than uber slim in anything

Stokey love those Pyrus buys, really lovely, especially if silk

I was good today focussed on stuff that I’ve needed only. A new Samsonite suitcase (can’t even mention how bad our luggage situation was last time dh fault), bugaboo footmuff (ok was dithering on this as so much baby stuff but it is cold) and some needed clothes for dd.

Will have another look tonight but only stuff I need rather than due to discount

MarshaBradyo · 23/11/2018 19:03

Ps sorry you’ve had a bad week Justa you too Stokey if so

So glad we’ve got this thread and friendships Flowers

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 23/11/2018 19:42

Add me to the list too please Marsha Wine

Sorry I've been a bit rubbish on here lately, I've been lurking but we are going through the 4 month "leap" with DS and he's super clingy and a bit hard work atm (still very cute of course!)

Marsha we are expecting to buy the bugaboo footmuff as well, as we'll need it sometime after Christmas, did you get a black friday deal? I guess you didn't go for the jogging chassis as well? Wink (I love that I'm not the only Voguette with a baby at the moment!)

Got to go and eat dinner now but sending good vibes to Lib, Stokey and Justa Flowers and welcome Red. Love reading about what everyone is up to and your buys. Hope I will get time to do a longer post soon...!

justasecond · 23/11/2018 19:45

Thanks Marsha totally agree and at least we can choose our friends if not family.
Love those pyrus buys Stokey the stars dress is especially lovely.
I have made quite a few purchases, feel a bit guilty and sick now
so I got the eye cream That's not so bad as I have needed a new one for a while and have been making do with samples.
Kanken backpack for dd's upcoming birthday. A good saving as I don't think they are reduced very often.
stories jumper
these trousers I haven't given up on cords yet! They will prob look horrid on me and go back.
velvet trousers I don't have high hopes for them but worth a try.
zara blazer as I have been on the lookout for a long blazery type coat and this looked nice on when I tried it on in store.

also I need to replace my hourglass highlighter this one wondering whether to get the same again or get a slightly cheaperBecca one for a change? I have a mini Becca one that is a darker shade and looks a lot bolder than the hourglass, I use it for evenings but maybe if I get a lighter shade it will be more subtle? Anyone have a Becca powder highlighter?
I also need to get some more Armani foundation JL currently has 17
% off

MarshaBradyo · 23/11/2018 20:07

Justa love all those, I think they’ll look great on you. Big squeeze sorry things are still tough

Blair hola! Yes we had the 4 month thing too, plus right now lots of waking due to teething. But aren’t they always teething 😂

Yes I got it from here Bugaboo slightly cheaper elsewhere but it had terrible reviews and I’ve ordered from this site before and has good reviews

I need to do a search for the chassis, seems really rare! And not sure if on sale. I’m dithering as I know two things - I will always get dd to nap at home (a break!) and I would probably have her face me. Which means she’ll be awake and looking at me. I might find it hard to run and do the eye contact thing or no eye contact. I feel like I want to try it out before spending £300

FedupNagging · 23/11/2018 21:58

Just popping in quickly to say Monday 9pm BBC1 The Truth about Menopause with Mariella Frostrupp - may be worth a watch

Manic week here so will catch up properly tomorrow; from my very quick skim read, it looks like there's some lovely links & pics.

Dreamqueen · 24/11/2018 09:14

Justa sorry to read that you've had a tough week . Flowers I like the maje jumper. I struggle with jumpers, I'm either too hot indoors in them or they feel too bulky under a coat.

Stokey those Pyrus buys are lovely.

Dry the Gap dress has just arrived. It's perfect for holiday wear. It is a bit creased but will be ok after hanging in a steamy bathroom. I'm away tomorrow and have just bunged it in my case.

Fedup that programme looks interesting but I'm at the other end of menopause. Thickened waist and other stuff has already happened even though I was on HRT implant.

shopafrolic · 24/11/2018 13:24

Love those velvet trousers Justa tempted but think they'll be too short for me. Sending you a big hug. Do you mean who we talked about at the end of last MU?

Catching up as been away and swamped with those Black Friday emails ... I find it too confusing and just shut down.
I needed a good warm scarf, and settled for a faux fur black stole.
I had a couple of basics ordered from Boden but will return ... an Ivory Blouse that was thinking for work but I reckon it will look all creased as soon as I put a coat, etc .. a white cotton polo neck also , but I find the neck too constricted... I am a bit fuzzy like that.
justa nice to meet you! Will try to stick round Smile
marsha what is that 2nd March? Is there an event?
need an early night today.

FedupNagging · 25/11/2018 19:12

I thought the data protection thingy a few months ago would have stopped all the black Friday emails but no, I've been inundated too. (Welcome Redandblue11 -loved your pics the other day)

Justa Flowers, like bothe pairs of &OS trousers & the & jumper is such a lovely colour. If you keep the wide legged ones, let me know how you style footwear wise in this cold weather.

Shop that Milly skirt is absolutely gorgeous dahling (I have Craig RH voice in my head now I've said that) not sure any of my xmas do's would be suitable. Also love the blouse paired with it.

Marsha can't comment on pushchairs but can on your upcoming hols - sounds fab

I am very pissed off disappointed with the Dior Nail Glow - whilst it does what it says on the tin, after only 6 months, it has gone seriously gloopy and sadly destined for the bin. I've used about half. Does anyone have a more wallet friendly version they can recommend? (that lasts a smidge longer?)

FedupNagging · 25/11/2018 19:49

I love the in thread links so thought I'd add a few

Firstly, does anyone actually wear their crossbody bag that high up?! (Am liking the both the knit and the bag)

Still looking at a)buying more red, b) pleated skirts - MD trousers & skirts are miles too long for me but the skirt did catch my eye

Finally, I need someone to buy the Anthropologie dress - preferably in pink but the blue is a striking shade too - it's a style that won't suit me so I need to wear it vicariously!

Right I’ve just skimmed......Shop am I right, you bought an artichoke on Black Friday ? The actual vegetable? Confused

I won’t be able to come to March MU unfortunately as I’ll be busy studying. Sad

Dream I love the Gap bargain maxi too. Very useful and swishy.
