Well, interesting question ... what do I like to wear, on one hand I like a “classy” look - dark trousers and a silk blouse, then not afraid of some pattern or asymmetrical cut. Love pretty dresses , I need some structure tough as flat chested and not much waist so I need to work on giving the illusion there is more there!
With age ... in my 40s I have been slowly replacing my items with some better quality that will last longer, look good and be comfy Grin
Eg cashmere, silk , always leather shoes .
I tend to shop in a mix of places ... John Lewis for (boring) plain cashmere, independent boutiques, eBay, love Whistles, Sandro, Maje , Zara, Massimo Dutti...many more

For instance today for work I am wearing a midi skirt from Stories, asymmetrical, with a bit of sparkle in fabric, and a mustard cashmere top from Boden, ankle boots in black
Here is the skirt
www.stories.com/en_gbp/clothing/skirts/midi/product.wool-blend-herringbone-skirt-grey.0658252001.html

I sometimes love a vintage find too ... have a few vintage silk scarves that I wear neckerchief type with a shirt. Or my best ever find is in a dress agency a Sonia Rykiel knitted top very original in blue and brown . Always gets compliments.

Here are some of the things I like. The way the third picture shows the wide trousers in blue or the black culottes

Welcome Red

I bought this sparkle breton from Boden but didn't read the details fully and now am not sure about the 24% polyester. worried that it will bobble.

Apologies for the flower link earlier on S&B. I felt the need to share as they are so lovely.

MarshaBradyo · 22/11/2018 18:38

Welcome Red very pretty pics, I like that style

Dream no apology necessary! (Vogue living section ;) I had a look they looked nice, but I’m too picky re flowers and only like a few types - mostly buy big tall stemmed roses when I do

Speaking of looks I like this, not sure who it is - a fashion blogger on IG

Looks better with the head not cut off when you click on it

MarshaBradyo · 22/11/2018 18:41

I might wear my Marant boots again from a couple of seasons ago

shopafrolic · 22/11/2018 18:50

Love that M. What’s her Insta name?

MarshaBradyo · 22/11/2018 18:54

I don’t know unfortunately, I follow lestylelafrancaise and they don’t often tag the name. There’s great looks on there however.

Stokey · 22/11/2018 21:05

Welcome Red, nice style, really like your Stories skirt.

Marsha can picture you in that outfit. I can't do camel at all, just washes me out, but did go back to my leopard coat today after yesterday's Kate inspo.

Flowers were lovely Dream, think it's good to share all sorts on here!

On that note, we're about to go to tender for extension which has taken forever to get through planning. I know some of you have done similar, initially am looking for any tips on slimline glass sliding door suppliers. Apparently the lead time is 10 weeks so they're one of the first bits you need to order. We need about 3-4m and a corner window 🙈

Stokey · 22/11/2018 21:09

Red meant to add the coil definitely helped with the pain and has made my periods a lot lighter (although I do still get them). They're very unpredictable for the first few months though and I considered giving up quite a few times.

DryWhiteagainW · 22/11/2018 21:27

Hello veryone. I’m back from a very intense time of frantic study.
So, have booked a big summer hols and for many reason, I’m now on a tight budget. As a result I will be looking for discount but fab looking holiday clothes. Challenge for 2019. In the mean time i have no fashion news at all.

DryWhiteagainW · 22/11/2018 21:32

bargain for holiday. Can’t beat a maxi in black......nice belt and metallic Gigi’s, will do for an evening

Redandblue11 · 22/11/2018 22:02

stokey Good to hear the coil helped with pain and period, if I do not get them anymore that will be great! But even if they are lighter that will be a bonus.

shopafrolic · 22/11/2018 22:42

Mine are lighter but still happen....
In other news - girls trip to Marbella booked for June 2019 Grin

That's a good buy Dry In fact I just copied you and bought it too.Smile

QueenCyan · 23/11/2018 06:49

Morning.
red nice pictures and clothes.
marsha love that. Can you do camel?
dream don’t apologise. All stuff welcome here.
Re coil discussion-I had mine fitted initially for endometriosis and it really helped with the pain initially. I still had periods regularly but much more manageable. Then my periods started going awry and erratic and with other symptoms I knew I was perimenopausal and started the hrt. I continues to have periods. Weirdly when I had it changed last year (after 5 years) my periods have since stopped.

DryWhiteagainW · 23/11/2018 07:34

And Marsha I obv love that camel outfit you linked, v nice.
Welcome Red, love your style.

MarshaBradyo · 23/11/2018 09:43

Queenc not entirely sure, some camel tones definitely not, but maybe pinkies versions but would have to try, she looks good with her dark to blonde hair and camel

Dry that’s a handy dress I need one too

MarshaBradyo · 23/11/2018 09:43

Pinkier (prob not a word)

MarshaBradyo · 23/11/2018 09:50
