Holiday clothes

Going to Italy for a week in August.

I've got:
one playsuit
a pair of denim shorts
a black sundress
a red sundress
a denim midi skirt
a 'dressy' dress
t-shirts
a couple of boho-ish cotton blouses to wear with shorts or the denim skirt
What else do I need? Struggling to find any nice cotton dresses. Assume I'll need either another pair of shorts or another playsuit maybe?

That black HofF dress is beautiful. Please buy it. V neck, body skimming, long but not floor length. As a shortie with big boobs too, it looks perfect to me. I am willing it to be perfect for you too.

I must admit, it probably wouldn't suit me. The OB one, on the other hand, is exactly the right shape for me!

Malcescine (sp?) is lovely as well, enjoy I love the lakes.

LG will be just as hot as Southern Italy so definitely ditch the denim. We got back from Italy about 3/4 weeks ago and it was scorching. I took shorts and vest tops but wish I'd taken more cotton floaty dresses which would have been much cooler.

Just bought this - it's longer on me than on the model.

Ooh very nice. How do you find that bib style? on me not so flattering but love a victoriana vibe.
the M&S one is great and good price.
I love that OB one. go for it. a good cotton summer dress is really hard to find and you will wear again and again.
please do not discount bandeau styles because of your boobs, you really can wear them and you'll feel so much cooler.
i have found skinner straps make me look thinner. so find a strapless bra!!
those cheap amazon floaty things are a godsend in this heat.

I like a couple of the Abercrombie & Fitch dresses linked above, but it's worth knowing that their returns are EXPENSIVE.

I'm also very tempted by that twist-back Gap dress, although I really don't need it.

Just tried the white Fat Face dress on again, and mine isn't the same one as in the pic - it's got a v neck. It was the only one on a sale rack in JL, so might be last summer's stock maybe. It's possibly not the most flattering item I've ever worn, but it doesn't look too hideous, and is 100% cotton!

I bought a new with tags Next sundress in a charity shop today - black broderie anglaise cotton, just below the knee with a tiered skirt. V pretty.

So now I've got:

denim Levis shorts (sticking with these despite everybody saying not to, because I really like them!)
black cotton playsuit
various cotton tops
white cotton dress
black cotton dress
red cotton dress
black M&S sundress thing that I linked below (all 4 of these dresses will work in the day with flat sandals/trainers, or in the evening with espadrille wedges)
pretty Whistles dress for a couple of evenings
maybe black culottes but would prefer another pair of shorts instead, I think.

sounds perfect. take some travel wash and do some laundry because IMO that's the best thing about holidays - watching your washing dry in an under hour.

Gap good for shorts if you are ok with short shorts

can anyone help me with sandals? i wear sliders all the time but will need slightly smarter for my hol but can't abide being uncomfortable.

i am small of foot if that makes any diff.

I think this is the Next charity shop dress.

I always find Clarks good for comfortable sandals.

I like that crazy striped dress, but it's the wrong colours for me. I tried a new with tags French Connection one on in the charity shop today that was similar, but dp was horrified by it!

No joy on the hat front. I tried a couple of straw hats on, but I look like my nana at a wedding in around 1977.

i have the fugly mustard yellow clarks ones and they're meh

i like the stripey 70s vibe but dont think it'd flatter short arses with boobs
