Going back to the Yorks' Vogue interview, they confirm that Beatrice is going to be maid of honour. I'd be surprised if there weren't any younger attendants too, maybe not George and Charlotte but they'll have several young cousins on Fergie's side of the family. IIRC, she has much younger half-siblings who are closer in age to B&E than they are to her.

I think they said recently that George and Charlotte and a handful of other children were being bridesmaids and page boys, including Robbie Williams' daughter?

I think Harry does feel he has a big family, in terms of the extended one. He did say something around Christmas time about “the family Meghan never had.” Time has shown that was pretty accurate.....

I think once he & Meghan have children perhaps they will start hanging out more with the Tindall and the Phillips. There are lots of Spencer cousins too.

I thought Meghan's was alright, but not "stunning"!
It looked better in the full length photos where you could see the coloured swirl of the skirt, than in the head and shoulders photos where she looked as though she was about to open an orphanage. It would have been better with a bit of colour contrast in the hat.

She must feel as though she's starring in a remake of Four Weddings, she must go to at least one a month, and they're all holding their breath for The Funeral of course.

Been googling, Fergie has a half sister Alice Ferguson, who’s 35 and lives in Singapore. She got married in 2010, so there may well Have a couple of kids. Fergie sister lives in Oz and has about 6 kids

I think she has another half-sister who's even younger. Her sister in oz had 2 kids when I last heard but may have had more since.

This is somewhat old news, but I saw this footage of the spat between Queen Letizia and Queen Sofia

Looks like Sophia grabbed the princesses so she could get her photo taken with them. The girls looked bewildered. Sofia must have grabbed one quite hard as the girl was throwing her grandmother’s hand off.
I think Sofia is not a happy woman. Serially unfaithful husband and now she is just the Dowager Queen.

That sent me down a YouTube hole and I found of King Felipe giving a speech in English. I'd never heard him speak English before and I guess I was expecting him to sound a bit like Antonio Banderas(!) but he hardly sounds Spanish at all. It's a bit like that interview with Margarethe of Denmark, although his accent is not cut-glass like hers.

King Juan Carlos was quite the player. Isn't he rumoured to have had a fling with Princess Di? Or was that Constantine of Greece?

Felipe's accent is sort of mid-Atlantic, part British and part North American. He went to high school in Canada and has a degree from Georgetown University in the US so it's not surprising.

The girls are spending a month in a US summer camp this year so he obviously values his educ and experiences in the English language and wants the girls to start being exposed to similar.

Has anyone ever heard the Monagesque royals speak? They all sound very American too, especially Albert. Guess it isn't surprising, given their mother.

I heard Princess Stephanie speak once. Definitely American.
Wonder whether Crown Princess Mary still sounds Australian.

Will be interesting to hear how Meghan’s accent evolves. We probably won’t hear her speak for a while unless she becomes patron of a charity and makes a speech.

Mary didn't have a particularly Ocker accent to begin with! She still has a slight Australian twang but her accent now has a sing-song quality that sounds more Danish.

It’s surprising how many pop starts are terrible starf*ckers. Robbie Williams making friends with Bea and Yooj. Ed Sheehan racing back to Windsor from A&E to rejoin B&E’s party after Bea had cut his face with a sword whilst pretending to knight James Blunt. What toadies.

Queen Sofía of Spain is the sister of "King" Constantine of Greece (sorry, pal, no throne), that family are notoriously difficult. It all looks pally pally at the moment with Letizia, the family are currently on holiday in Mallorca. All smiles with the girls and the two Queens!!

Yes, it fair makes your head spin, doesn't it? It makes me relieved that the current Royals are opening up the gene pool a bit.

And of course the Greek royals are cousins of the dukes of Edinburgh and Kent, though I'm not sure to what degree of removal.

If it's true about Philip and Alexandra, they certainly kept it in the family, as someone said up thread! Marina's father was Prince Nicholas, brother of Prince Andrew (Philip's dad).
