If I liked white trainers I would have to have these as they were seriously lush! these were cool too.

Have you seen that JL now has some j crew and madewell online?

QueenCelestial · 18/08/2018 22:03

I utterly adored this colour in jigsaw and will be keeping an eye on anything else they bring out in this colour. I was quite excited in general by all the purple stuff I saw.

My disappointments were with oasis, gap and warehouse. All my usual haunts but absolutely nothing caught my eye.

QueenCelestial · 18/08/2018 22:10

I was tempted by this bag but I don’t need it so I was sensible .

Everyonelovessparkles · 19/08/2018 09:03

Nice round up queenc. How did you find the sizing in hush? I have seen a few things for A/W but having read that they have recently changed their sizing to be more true to size, I’m unsure what to order. The print of the whistles noise is pretty and agree that that colour in jigsaw is lovely. Well done on refraining from purchasing the bag! Love the sparkley star trainers too (2 of my favourite things!)

Congratulations to blair and the safe arrival of babyblair. Hope all is going well.

Lovely lovely links to log in to. Loved all your links Marsha and glad that it all worked out well. Loved the espadrilles that you linked. If they had them in a 3, I would give them a try even though i don't need another pair.

QueenC, I am halfway through your fab links, have done the high street edition. I laughed at the boots, as you say great, but couldn't see you in them.Grin I have been tempted by those bucket bags too, but each time i have resisted.

We are on holiday now. Absolutely glorious hotel! We have a suite with a lovely big balcony. First night, we watched fireworks with the kids after dinner from the balcony, and then there was live music so we danced on the balcony as a family with our own little disco. Fab.Grin

Fashion so far - Friday was travelling day so dressed in navy blue and white Breton top (my favourite from Primark which is about 5 years old!) with new M&S turn up chinos and blue converse with R&B laser cut tote. I get cold on planes so i wore these new Hush cardigan jacket. It's the only thing i have ever bought from Hush - Everyone, i don't know if it is indicative but i bought xs and found it was a bit too big. I kept it because i really liked it.

Saturday - new John Lewis halter neck bikini set under new Gap play suit which i just got as part of a huge Gap order for the kids. To dinner last night was this MK dress which I bought ages ago but hadn't had the chance to wear yet with these Gianvito Rossi heeled sandals which are fab.

Today, it's all old stuff, wearing this Mango dress in red over this bikini.

Longislandicetee · 19/08/2018 13:40

QueenC that Alice and Olivia skirt you linked is absolutely gorgeous! And I agree the Valentino bag is gorgeous too.

I meant to say in my first post, that as usual i have been wearing lots of Accessorize bling with my swim wear. today's necklacee*.

QueenCelestial · 19/08/2018 14:38

wveryone I can’t remember whether I tried on an 8 or 10 in the dress. I find them pretty true to size. My shorts are a 10 and the Grecian tops I have are an 8 and 10 and there’s no discernible difference really. In most shops I try an 8 and 10 on and although 8s often fit I prefer the fit of 10s as there’s more room to eat/bloat!!

blingy is hate to be poolside with you as I bet you look so glam!

shopafrolic · 19/08/2018 18:02

QueenC those boots you linked for me are fierce as f@ck. Love.

DryWhiteagainW · 19/08/2018 18:44

Great links QueenC.actually love the whistles Friday sweatshirt, one of my fav colours. Also saw the And/Or star trainers a few weeks ago....v nice. I have a £200 J Lewis voucher, waiting until I fall in love .....also fancy a red food processor Hmm

This holiday I loved my shorts with fitted tops, my khaki chinos with fitted tops tucked in. For next summer I’ll get a pair of black tailored shorts, a couple of beach dresses and a couple of decent swimming costumes.

MNV I have a great fashion challenge for you all:
This bank holiday weekend I’m away with DH with work people I mostly don’t know. This doesn’t faze me. It’s a fashion challenge. The itinerary includes:
Saturday restaurant dinner.
Walk on Sunday .
Drinks on a boat followed by dinner on Sunday.
Races on Monday.
It’s going to be mid to late teens.
It could rain, hopefully not.
I need to pack an awful lot don’t I ?

dry I’m not even going to give you any advice as you’ll have it all planned!

I love smart black shorts. One of my favourite holiday outfits was those with my hush black Grecian top and long silver necklace. Can’t wait to wear it again next week.

I really can’t get those dune biker boots out of my head. I have this vision of me in them with short dresses but I know I’m delusioned Grin

maradesbois · 20/08/2018 09:56

Morning!

Am on a train with bad signal so didn’t open all of your links yet QueenC - will do so later. Did see the dune boots one though and am intervening to say no, do not buy!!

Blair congratulations on the birth of babyblair !!!!! FlowersBearFlowersBear He is absolutely adorable.

Marsha so glad you kept the msgm and felt good in it. Love, love dd’s dresses and super happy she’s coming to the mu even if QueenC was her favourite

Shop I completely agree with everyone about how you felt on date night, you are just exhausted by the circumstances and not feeling it but bet you still looked fab.

justa interesting post about the serums, I want to get all your skincare tips at the mu.

Dry you can handle that with your eyes closed!

Longislandicetee · 20/08/2018 10:42

Love the intervention!Grin

FedupNagging · 20/08/2018 12:34

Lots of lovely links;

I love that you are always so considered in your purchases Marsha and as a result absolutely nail your style

Queen fab fantasy shopping; also loved the blouse and A/O trainers you tried on.

I had my heart set on a pair of slip on trainers, specifically [[http://www.jigsaw-online.com/product/olivia-slip-on-trainer/J37525_BL010 these from Jigsaw]] but were not a great fit - 5 too big, 4 ok but too tight widthwise.

My eye was caught by the grey Acne crops linked for Mara - that's a look I really like for A/W

QueenCelestial · 20/08/2018 14:46

mara you’re ok as I’m not coming to the September mu so maybe you can be her favourite Grin.
justa should definitely share her skin care tips as she has gorgeous skin. justa is your mums skin like that? Just wondering if you benefit from great genes?

Everyonelovessparkles · 20/08/2018 16:49

Holiday outfits sound great as usual blingy and agree with queenc that I wouldn’t like to be sat next to you Grin.

Sounds like marsha, queenc and dry all nailed the holiday wardrobes this year too. Loved DDs dresses too marsha. I always seem to spend more on DD than DS and buy her way too much stuff.

Shame about the trainers fedup but they were still pretty ££ if the sizing wasn’t great.

Thanks for the hush advice. I did see this red star jumper which is a blatant rip off of the Bella Freud one from last year. I dithered so much with the BF one that I ended up missing out so am tempted by the hush version. I do wonder how companies can get away with such obvious copies but then I guess you can’t trademark a leopard print star...

I may have birthday drinks on the 22nd now but will try and do both once I know a bit more about my friend’s plans.

Given that it feels very autumnal now, I was just wondering what have been your star buys of S/S 18 and what were the misses. I think my star buy were the tan dune slides as I have worn them nearly every day. Though I’ve worn most of my new purchases this year. I suppose BBB was almost a miss, but it did redeem itself on holiday Grin.

maradesbois · 20/08/2018 18:46

QueenC that berry shade of the silk blouse is super fashionable rn & would really suit you.

Yes to justa skin tutorial at the mu!

Everyone my star summer buy this year was probably the off-white chloé Lauren ballet pumps, they work with everything. Also raffia kirkwoods, shoe game is strong! The Zara dresses I got for work started off well but looking v shabby already however the H&M floral one that lib has too still looks good and is getting plenty of wear. No more Zara though, am going to stick to buying less and better quality.

Still feels very summery to me but am looking forward to autumn clothes and my new coat, anyone have any new season wish lists?
