Also started the day in Lentisque and enjoyed it more than last time but oh this weather and it's impact on longevity. SotE April Violets after having a shower and changing for dinner after the hottest day so far in Yorkshire. I am split between thinking this is going to be a historic hot summer and just wishing it would cool down a bit.

MrsLucas · 08/07/2018 21:20

Have tried another pair of Clive Christians today - No.1 male and female. Not especially memorable.

Judydreamsofhorses · 08/07/2018 22:03

SOTD Heeley Hippie Rose. It is raining here, what fuckery is this?

PestymcPestFace · 08/07/2018 22:12

Raining Judy Shock it is still 26C here.

SotD is Silvan Rouge Bunny Rouge, not over impressed. It is OK but misses something. A stout clout of pepper at the beginning, hangs close to the skin. Maybe just not one for this weather.

20 Degrees here and its nearly midnight Shock.

auberginesrus · 09/07/2018 11:21

Morning all, back to work and normality after lovely few days in York. Still scorchio - today I'm in Rome 1963 which is lovely in the heat

PestymcPestFace · 09/07/2018 11:48

SotD is Olfactive Studio's Woody Mood layered with Neroli Portofino. Woody mood has a glorious opening of bergamot, ginger, saffron and clary sage. The dry down then goes rather too woody for the weather
, hence some layering.

In PG Limanakia today. I just love it and have ordered a bunch of PG samples from Bloom including a top-up of this one. It's my birthday tomorrow so that's my excuse 😉

Calmanddance · 09/07/2018 15:32

SOTD is YSL In Love Again. It is the 2014 version with a lovely heart-shaped bottle. I smell lots of blackcurrant and fresh green notes, with a musky drydown. It has lasted very well in the heat. (29 degrees indoors today!)

PlausibleSuit · 09/07/2018 17:12

Toohotgrumpyface

SOTD is Phaedon Pure Azure, though, which is lovely. Florals and figs and ferns.

CountFosco · 09/07/2018 18:07

Only 19C here today. The bliss! I did completely forget to take perfume to the pool this morning so had to use one of my travelos at work which are all hot weather perfumes at the moment. SotE not decided yet but will be something interesting since it's cool.

3DSpex · 09/07/2018 18:24

Feeling sticky and grumpy. SOTD Chance Eau Fraiche.

BlueKittens · 09/07/2018 19:41

Eww have been suffering from suspected food poisoning in this heat. Which has been unpleasant.

SOTD was 4160 Tuesdays Rhubarb and Citrus. It disappeared fairly quickly, as all my perfumes have in this weather.

Judydreamsofhorses · 09/07/2018 19:50

Cold and cloudy here today. No good. SOTD JHAG Mad Madame.

kittens poor you - feel better soon.

OCSock · 09/07/2018 19:59

L'eau sur le Nil today, late on, but pleasantly fresh and mango-ey. This was a favourite a few years ago, but wouldn't be now, although I still like the juicy freshness on occasion. It works fine in the heat.

SockDog has been hurling herself into water and has done something painful that means she can hardly wag her tail so we are on minimal exercise for a few days.

MrsLucas · 09/07/2018 20:24

Swithered between M&S Sheer Radiance (mandarin, gardenia, pepper) and Paris 1948 today. Both worked in the heat; Sarah McC's nuclear peach chypre has incredible staying power.

MrsLucas · 09/07/2018 20:25

Have just bough a little bit of vintage In Love Again Calm!

MrsLucas · 09/07/2018 20:25

*bought

MrsLucas · 09/07/2018 21:38

Ending the night with another vintage city, Rome 1963. Grin at Last; never mind Mediterranean wood furniture, on a hot night the opening 2 minutes smells just like retsina!

Calmanddance · 09/07/2018 22:15

I’m sure you’ll enjoy the “In Love Again” MrsLucas. Yes, Paris 1948 is good in the heat. I love peach notes and in this it’s beautifully non-sweet. It’s the smell equivalent of a taste making your mouth pucker up.

3DSpex · 10/07/2018 07:48

Hope you’re feeling better kittens. Sounds brutal Sad.

SOTD is Songes. Bit cooler here today.

UnnecessaryFennel · 10/07/2018 08:00

Get well soon, kittens.

SOTD is Aedes de Venustas. Dp forgot my birthday. Not impressed.

PlausibleSuit · 10/07/2018 11:30

Get well soon, Kittens. Food poisoning is why I no longer eat chicken.

SOTD is Phaedon Lentisque. I'm having a good Phaedon run at the moment, since between the two Bloom sample sets I bought there were about four of them. Have loved them ALL.

I'm off to spend my carefully saved Advantage points on something fragrancey today. The attached will be me if I find I haven't got enough for whatever it is I want.

Happy birthday Fennel Cake Wine Glitterball Gin

BlueKittens · 10/07/2018 12:17

Thank you all - feeling so much better and the cooler temperatures are helping

SOTD is Bottega Veneta EDP. Try if you like a leathery iris (even though iris is not listed, I swear I smell it). Warming up for my holiday in Italy next week Grin

Happy birthday Fennel
