Sotd next eau nude

I'm done today..
2 hours on a field watching sports day...
2 hours at work on a blisteringly hot playground...
Ugh
Just want to sleep

MrStarkIDontFeelSoGood · 03/07/2018 16:40

SOTD Cinema by YSL not really sure it’s my bag, a bit nothing

MrsLucas · 03/07/2018 17:21

31.1 degrees at desk again today. Even Eau due Sud didn't stick around for long.

MrsLucas · 03/07/2018 17:24

Could the family dislike of citrus be social/cultural rather than genetic?

3DSpex · 03/07/2018 17:42

Yes OneNight. In fact, I go off perfume when I'm ill. Cant even face scented shower gel, soap etc.

SOTE is Sexiest Scent. My 4160 9mls arrived! .... AND, they did indeed honour the 3 for 2 and sent me my Tart's Knicker Drawer. Slightly awkward moment when 9 yr old DD asked to have a spray of each and tell me which one she liked best...and asked what TKD meant...um...! (she liked WIDOMH best, btw Grin).

God , I forgot how good Sexiest Scent is! Shame I'm wearing it to watch the football...

3DSpex · 03/07/2018 17:45

MrStark, I did like Cinema immediately, but it grew to be a love. I do think its worth wearing again some other day. Really different in different weather.

I love it best in Spring when it sparkles and is quite citrusy, but also when its very cold the amber comes out and it feels...so luxurious and expensive (is the best - pretty inarticulate - way I can describe it).

MrsRRR · 03/07/2018 18:50

3dspex....oh it is divine isn't it??

I'm wearing Mrsgloss indoors a lot atm as I'm running low on sexiest scent and I simply cannot buy perfume this month :(

UnnecessaryFennel · 03/07/2018 19:33

Just popping in to say that Sarah McCartney was fantastic today. She absolutely made the day for me - and in fact for loads of others too! Will give you the lowdown when I get home - too knackered to think straight atm!

CountFosco · 03/07/2018 20:27

SotD Paris 1948. WFH today and so scruffy clothes need chypre! My love of chypre is overriding my dislike of peach. I don't love it but I kind of admire it.

Judydreamsofhorses · 03/07/2018 21:22

SOTD Heeley Sel Marin. God, I love this weather.

MrsLucas · 03/07/2018 22:40

SotE - Suffolk Lavender. The combo of melon, lavender, incense, musk and pine seems to work really well in the heat. I

BlueKittens · 03/07/2018 23:34

Glad it went well Fennel Do spill the beans ...

MrsRRR · 04/07/2018 07:05

(Yawn)

Sotd prob next eau nude

UnnecessaryFennel · 04/07/2018 08:13

Morning all. God I'm shattered! SOTD is Ealing Green, hand delivered by the perfumer herself yesterday Wink

Sarah was fab, the day went really well. She was funny and clever and had the audience hooked, and then her workshop was by far the most popular of the five we had on. It was really lovely to meet and chat with her, I felt very fan-girly Grin.

teta · 04/07/2018 10:06

Fennel I’m very envious of your day with Sarah McCartney. It sounds wonderful.
Lentisque for the Mediterranean weather we’re having. Might as well smell dry and aromatic as that’s what my garden is at the moment. In fact the old oak tree seems to be shedding its leaves due to the heat.

3DSpex · 04/07/2018 10:33

Fennel I'm very jealous. Thats sounds great fun!

I'm SO tired today. Had two glasses of wine while watching the football last night and its given me a headache today. I just cant drink wine anymore, I've realised . I dont want to be at work GRRRR.

SOTD is a layering of Chloe Love Story and Taylor Swift Grin. I think the heat has gone to my head and is playing havoc with my perfume taste...but I woke up this morning and thought 'I want to smell like an orange Mivvy ice lolly'. And that's exactly what I smell like Grin

positivepineapple · 04/07/2018 11:10

My 4160 order arrived yesterday, it was perfect timing as had just got back from a long day emptying Dads house. I do feel relief that it's complete. I was strangely emotionless when doing it, but when I got home it hit me then.

Both pleased and relieved to report back that both Ealing Green and Scenthusiasm are a hit.

I was expecting to love White Queen - first try it was a bit meh, Centrepiece is lovely - tentatively added to the FB list.

I asked for some samples to pass onto a friend who is getting married next year, they kindly popped in some extra testers and I have added some of my own so I have a lovely little parcel for her. Hopefully I can convert her to the wider world of perfume.

PlausibleSuit · 04/07/2018 12:25

Today's SOTD is PG Rivages Noirs. Me no likey. I smell like a melon and ginger smoothie. You know, one of those ones you get in fancy coffee shops that costs £9.

I've been working through the Beach Memories pack and apart from Sea Foam, haven't liked any of them. Fathom V in particular was a proper scrubber after a few hours; I haven't had one of those for a while.

Subsequently, in the words of the great Julie Walters, I may have gone a shade mad.

I got to browsing, clicking BUY NOW buttons at random, and I seem to have found myself with Theo Fennell Scent EdP, Lady Gaga Eau de Gaga, and... two Ferrari fragrances: Uomo and Radiant Bergamot. I never thought I would have a car brand EdT on the shelf next to my Frederic Malle but the world sometimes takes us in strange directions, doesn't it.

I also dithered over SJP's Covet, £15 for 100ml. I'm drawn to the idea of it, because it sounds weird. But I'm hesitating, because it sounds weird.

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 04/07/2018 12:27

Hoping my Killer Rose arrives today, before i have to go for my nurse appointment! currently scentless in hopes of it arriving

wore Prada Infusions Tuberose last night to bed, i do enjoy it very much, I love white flower perfumes! Dp, bought me a big bottle of it a few years ago and I Still have loads of it left, a little of it goes a long way!

PlausibleSuit · 04/07/2018 12:40

pineapple I know exactly what you mean about the house thing. Flowers I remember sorting through my grandmother's photos, jewellery and whatnot in a sombre yet practical mood. It hit me later that evening, when I opened a box that contained all her old tea towels. Yet it was also an oddly uplifting moment.

Ofthread · 04/07/2018 15:34

I've ordered three things from PP due to lurking on this thread. I'd never heard of PP, can't wait for my order. I've gone for:
Prada Infusion d'Iris (have had the real thing before)
Chanel No. 22 (I think) haven't smelled the original
Creed Virgin Island Water (have sampled many times, never owned)

Will report back.

MrsRRR · 04/07/2018 17:47

plausible
I often go a shade mad 😁
I call them my "bad things"
I need to shop the 4160 sale....but I will need to sell a kidney.
Oh dear 😔

CountFosco · 04/07/2018 18:06

SotD Herba Fresca. My lovely sample is almost finished, I'm going to have to buy a FB. It's so perfect in this weather. SotE is going to be Yardley April Violets again.

DH has invited his Mum down for 2 weeks in the summer holidays. She's lovely but I am not good with house guests. I hope I'm not too grumpy! At least our lovely new guest room is easy to keep tidy.

BlueKittens · 04/07/2018 18:45

SOTD is Agonist White Oud. I quite enjoy a musky oud on a hot day. I feel I should be in citrus, but I just feel fresh and clean!

PlausibleSuit · 04/07/2018 19:00

MrsRRR I have a cabinet full of bad things. I buy them, put them away quietly and hope DH doesn't notice.

Have had a quick test. Ferrari Uomo isn't half bad! It smells a little like CD Fahrenheit. Maybe a tad more synthetic, but smoother and fresher.

And Scent is blummin' awesome.
