Anyone tried Killian's Les Liaisons?

Hello fragrant friends. I've just received my latest order from the Perfume Society, but they've sent me the wrong box! I ordered the Modern Classics box, which is in the sale, but they sent me the Treat Yourself box (which does look very nice, and includes a miniature that has an atomiser top, rather than a dabber like all my other miniatures, so that's nice to see).

I think I remember around the time of the first Big Sniff, one or two of you got sent the wrong boxes, so I'm just wondering if you had to return the wrong ones, or if they let you keep them for free!

I've emailed them to let them know, because I really wanted the other box, and I'm hoping I don't have to have the hassle of returning this one, but I will if they want me to pay for it!

SOTD is Prada Infusions Ouillet. Just fabulous. A Spicy carnation cologne but decent sillage. Really beautiful. There are no duds in this lineup. Bravo Prada.

SOTD is Estee Lauder Sensuous Nude. One of the few coconutty fragrances I really rate.

Well, I've just had an email from PS, apologising for the error. They've sent out a new one, and said I could keep the wrong one, which is very nice of them. The extras in the Treat Yourself box will come in very handy, as I wanted to get some small toiletries to put in the guest bedroom, and they're ideal for that.

Hope it's alright to mention on here that I'm selling off some of my collection on eBay as have to move house and put everything in storage for a year or more. I don't know how to tell you where to look, but I'm selling miller Harris la fumee arabie, L'Artisan Parfumeur nuit de tubereuse and l'eau d'ambre extreme, Tocca Florence and some other smelly bits and bobs.

did a bad thing and ordered Killer Rose I'm not meant to be buying any perfume right now as I have SO SO much but I've wanted this one for ages and promised myself i would only buy it when it was scent of the week and what do you know, that is this week so it was meant to be!

SOTD is currently Chant d' Aromes. lovely in the heat, the smokiness in it is just right somehow.

pest I keep promising myself the Smoke & Tar pack - some fab-sounding stuff in there.

My Bad Things - I ended up in a branch of Space NK today and bought a FB of Philosykos

And then...I went into Penhaligon's and bought their Scent Library sampler set

But! Philosykos is really a no-brainer, right? It's a summer classic, I love it, I'll wear it loads on holiday. And Penhaligon's is fairly uncharted territory for me and the set was only £20 for TEN 2ml samples in a nice tin so, bargain, really.

Plus some Hourglass Dim Light powder which looks like it could actually be Holy Grail territory I can't stop looking at myself

Killer Rose is the love child of two other 4160Ts scents. Anyone remember which? Have a feeling Raw Silk & Red Roses is one of them?

(Always get this confused with Bodhi Language which is a similar sort of hybrid, I think with The Buddahwood Box??).

Tell me more about Hourglass, I've been hearing about its HG potential for a while.

I started the day in 19 edp, which obvs I'm still in, but had a squirt of Knowing at our Milan stopover. Tried this year's Bronze Goddess which is much sweeter and less coconut suncreamy- moving towards Huile Prodigeuse territory. Tried lots of Acqua di Parmas...loved Bergamotto di Calabria and wherever the Orange one is from. I also liked the Juniper one but the almond one made me retch almost in its sticky sweetness.

Scents that smell of sex...well, Jerry Hall famously said Angel didn't she? Diorella smells of skanky sheets.

Im also resisting smoke and tar pack amongst others. It never stops this itvh to buy more and this thread is so enabling.

I adore Killer Rose. I already own buckets of it. Very geranium-y if you like that. But it transforms over time from gorgeous to more gorgeous.

Aww thank you so much for your kind offer pesty but I'm not living in the UK. I will however settle down tonight and order the above suggestions as samples and perhaps a few others! Choosing what fragrance to wear every morning is one of my little joys in life. Truly. I’m now looking for something ‘a bit posh and a bit dirty’ as Micky Flanagan would say lol for the bedroom!

I had Angel thencame but I dunno, it wasn’t ‘me’. I’ve been told I look like Jerry Hall but I guess that’s where the similarity ends

Killer Rose sounds good. I don't like Red Roses/Raw Silk (?), though. Its the sort of rose I dislike - reminds me of pure Turkish rose oil.

SOTE is a sample of E.Coudray Iris Rose that I found rattling around at the bottom of my box of delights. Meh. I just don't love iris. I don't hate it, but it always smells the same to me - like the bottom of my gran's handbag (must be the powder/lipstick vibe?). I can't distinguish a good iris from a bad one. It literally always smells identical and a bit musty.
And its completely overpowered any rose in this. So nah.
