Reporting back for scent duty now that lovely Kiwi/Aussie visitors have been dispatched to their next destination. Very sad they live on the other side of the world and it will be so long until we meet again.

Scent has been a non-thought for a few days, so it has been the easy to wear light citruses that don't stink out the car that I have chosen. I used a hefty belt of my favourite Eau Parfumee au The Vert for today. It doesn't last but is nicely there in a hot car.

Judy thank you for your good wishes. Knowing all you do about dental stuff, I will say I am on for crowns on LR 5 and 7 with a bridge over LR6. Three appointments and yes, very spenny, but I have known that it would be inevitable one day and difficulty with biting was always going to find the weak spot in due course.

So no scent extravagances in my immediate future. Sticking firmly to samples.

More digging in my perfume crates and found a sample of Amouage Eau d Amouage (pour femme).

Oriental floral apparently. Top notes if mango, peony and vetiver. Drying down to pasionfruit, musk and sandalwood. Apparently.

Nah. Soapy masculine musk with a brief burst of fruitiness. Not my thing. At all. Ick.

Had to scrub horrid Amouage and am now in Dior Afdict. Long time since I’ve aopreciated this beauty.,,

Happy weekend everyone! Another hot day here, so it's Rook Neroli. The first burst of zest doesn't last long and what's left is pleasant but a bit meh. Rhubarb and Citrus stays crisp all day. Maybe later....

Decided to pop in a 4160 order for Killer Rose even though I'm dubious as to whether it will be me or not, as I was ordering on the 3 for 2 anyway and it seemed silly not to. So I have 9mls of that, Ealing Green, London 1969 and Rome 1963 on the way. Ordered this morning before the post arrived with a fine for driving in a bus lane No more spending for me this month!

SOTD was MrsGlossMadeMeDoIt, but it was too sweet for the weather, so scrubbed it and am in PP dupe forJo Malone verbena of Provence. Nice and fresh.

I’ll have to revisit Paris 1948, aubergines. Didn’t like it when I tried it a year or two ago (although don’t remember much about it) but peach is one of my favourite notes, so maybe worth another try.

SOTD is 4160 Sleep Knot, I’m really liking it but wasn’t fussed at first

Hi - haven't posted for ages but lurk most days! Has anyone got the new 'Perfumes the guide 2018' by Turin / Sanchez? There are an awful lot of niche and artisan reviews - so many, many perfumes I'm not familiar with. There are a few fragrances that I was looking forward to reading about that weren't included (YSL Manifesto, Mia Perla). And a couple that I was pleased to see (Chanel Boy and Fat Electrcian - both of which I like). The 4120 Tuesday perfumes that sound good are Eau my Soul and the Mrs Gloss one, so I might order those. I'm not sure I have the energy (certainly not the money) to hunt down too many of the limited distribution stuff that features heavily. I enjoy the (often merciless) writing style, anyway.

I have been collecting clothes clicks rather than perfume sniffing, but do have Lush Sun on one arm, generic orange, bit meh and Lush Dirty on the other. This is indeed lush and reminds me a bit of Infusions d'iris with something a bit more herby initially. S'lovely.

Samples arrived bluekitten but I haven't had chance to the yet...

Well, in fairness I haven't done A Bad Thing in almost 3 months, but sitting in the garden with my laptop and a glass of ice cold Sauv just now I'm afraid I twitched quite badly ....and did A VERY Bad Thing .

Ordered FBs of Gucci Flora Mandarin (this has been SO refreshing these last few weeks) and Gucci Gardenia (spilt my never-used-before mini by accident and my bedroom smells amazing. I do love a straight-up white floral. Very excited. Never normally bother So...

Then I ordered two 9mls from 4160 ...WIDOMH, as we are spending a week in Brighton at the end of the month, so that'll be perfect. And Sexiest Scent, as I miss it so much since I eked out my two little samples.

No more now until Autumn. I'm going to say September October

Started today in Philosykos but must admit have been a bit disappointed in quite how transient the EDT is - wasn't expecting much in terms of longevity obviously but it's disappointing even so. Still lovely, though.

Then LoF Gin & Tonic, which was fab

Now am happily settled in Rhubarb & Citrus with a glass of something cold. This is really so, so fab.
