I thought id share what hat im enjoying in this hot weather.
My usuals dune and kenzo elephant still work well.
Plus herba fresca comes into its own - so fresh and herby.
Premier figuer the woody dryness is great in heat
Next - eau nude. Simple and clean
Prada fleur d'orange - orange blossom feels really right.
L'occitaine hungary water - crisp crisp crisp. Love the cypress in this.
My pp womaniti is also yum.

Whats not working for me: tuberose gardenia is cloying when im hot
My beloved apres l'ondee and quand viens la pluie need a bit of rain to shine. But when im ferling quiet these just speak to my soul.
I love how changing weather changes what i like smelling. Always makes winter less awful as i think mmm youth dew and other deep rich goodies to enjoy.
Anyone else the same? I feel like i have this slightly wierd hidden hobby you can't see that preoccupies me almost every day. Enriches my life (while murdering my wallet)

Was only released to the Middle Eastern market Pesty - is it me or is it quite a chilly cardamon?

SotE is Floral Street Black Lotus. I like this quite a lot.

cardamone = 3 parts ac dawn + 1 part tf scent. the white flowers must be lily and hint of orange. Non of the associated warm spices in there, so cool cardamon, reminds me of real builder chai (handful of cardamon pods in the kettle boiled to braintree and back)

Ahh, memories... I used to go out in Blackpool, aubergines. Drenched in l'Eau d'Issey, I seem to recall (it was the late 90s). Nothing like eating vinegary chips looking out over the sea at 4.30am, waiting for the light and the train home.

Succumbed to the 4160 offer, having recently discovered them and had a set of tester vials. So I've ordered my two faves from my testers, What I Did on my Holidays and Creamy Vanilla Crumble plus one I haven't yet tried, sounds fresher ( have no perfumista speak, am a novice) Ealing Green.

Excellent choices Jules! CVC is an all-time fave for me, and Ealing Green such a clever scent.

I have my bottle of Rook Neroli. Eminently suitable for this heat and smells like a really natural local orange blossom water from the local bazaar. Could be totally unisex. In fact I can imagine a well groomed middle Eastern business man wearing this. Francis Kurkdjian eat your heart out. You have a major usurper.
