SOTD is 4160 WIDOMH. Lovely sunny day here, and last week of work tomorrow.

Big peach blossom note in Chinatown 3. Soooo expensive though (easy to pick-up samples however),

I have Chinatown! MrsL. Crazy buy in better times. Hardly worn.. and I don’t love it and am even considering selling it on. Fickle perfumista that I am!

SOTE is a mini of Gucci Flora Mandarin. Beautiful and realistic mandarin without any of the sharpness of most citrus fragrances. Background of creamy white floral. So good. But dreadful projection and longevity! An hour later it’s just watery nothing. Sad...could’ve been such a Good Un.

There is a note in Chinatown that pains me...ginger? Not sure. I like the drydown ...but the first hour or so is too spicy. I dislike spice unless it’s very mellow.

Cardamom? (Although I can barely smell it after getting used to industrial doses in L'Elephant and George).

I'm getting damp soil, mint leaves, green tea, moss and coriander.

I sprayed on Tommy Girl this morning. It is meant to be a citrussy floral with tea. I don’t get any tea at all, but it is lovely and fresh with (to me) a distinct honeysuckle (someone from this thread was interested in honeysuckle perfumes?). Alas, it was gone in an hour or two.

I think Tommy Girl is supposed to be melon isn't it?

Can you help a 4160 relative novice who is wanting to hurl things at quirky and non-plain-English websites again please?

Because there is a drop down called "Current Collection" with 37 perfumes on it...which one would think meant that everything NOT on that list is not current ie not available, yet on the 4160 news FB page people are listing stuff they've bought on the 3x2 from other categories.

Please help Sarah to help me. I really would like to give her some money. But (at the risk of sounding like a broken record) dear god in heaven what a crap website.

Just waiting for payday to put my 4160s order in - thinking Ealing Green, London 1969 and Rome 1963, but tempted by Scenthusiasm.. Prob 10mls as have holidays coming up in August and need to buy clothes for me and the boys.

After all the talk of Lumiere Doree vs Neroli Portion I am in LD today - lovely for this warm weather and has lasted really well.

I've rather enjoyed Undergrowth today, although not quite enough to spring for a full £50 bottle.

It's a complex, but appealing creation. There is a conceptual sense of having rolled around in fragrant grass clippings, if not a literal one. The coriander note doesn't hang around, thankfully. And after the mossy, vegetal dampness dies down, it lingers on-skin very pleasantly. A touch of vetiver and there's even something fruity in there; citrus peel, maybe.

FM Le parfum de Therese (again) This was 'orrible on first spray- and I flung it into my mingers bag. Jarring and sharp. It's sitting next to me on the computer now, and I keep getting a whiff of something really quite nice. The violet has now come through and it reminds me a bit of Bandit, which is no bad thing.

Also testing another Pell Wall which I'm afraid is just as horrible as Devana. 1953. It smells like cheap men's deodorant. I know it's billed as a male fragrance, but then so are many of the perfumes I love!

I have got my 4160 list down to 9, which I may further prune after checking my bank balance!

What do you reckon?
Ealing Green (because my sample is nearly finished)
London 1969 (because sooner or later my 9ml will be finished)
Lemon Sherbert (will this be too sweet for me? If so, dd can have it)
Rhubarb and citrus (really like all of your descriptions of this)
Sexiest Scent- I think this is what my smashed sample was last year- and if so, the paper box it was in, still smells gorgeus
What I did on my holidays- probably a bit too quirky for me, but I'll give it a go
Pillow Talk- like the notes
Outdoors- notes appeal
Another kiss by the fireside- sounds too wintery but it'll soon be spicy musky weather again I suppose.

If I go down to 6 I will ditch WIDOMH, Lemon Sherbert and Another Kiss.

Horrrendous day at work today. I’m already in PJs and lovely, comforting, old school Amarige (vintage). Feeling slightly better.

But must sniff the first two before i commit!!
