Was complimented on my perfume today 😁.

teta Une Rose is breathtaking, isn't it? If I had unlimited funds I'd waft around in that and Carnal Flower all the livelong day.

SOTD is 4106 White Queen which was an additional free sample that came with my pack. It is rather nice but doesn't seem to have lasted

It hasn't triggered one on me yet Coffee but it's not wearing very well. It's gone sort of brittle and briny. A bit like old seashells, but not nice. Luckily it's also fading by the minute so I shall be rid of it soon.

Long time lurker here but do have a bit of a perfume collection to boot.

I can across my sons Millions aftershave this morning when tidying up and had a spray of it. It's lovely and strong and clearly distinctive as I had 3 people ask what the lovely perfume is. It's not my usual thing but even now hours later I can still smell it

Afternoon all, Eau d'Hadrien for me today, as my bottle is 100mls and I won't be taking it with me to the Uk.

Floofy- hope all is OK with you- yes, that bottle of Jade was purchased on the back of these threads 3 summers ago!

Pineapple- I love Liz Earle 1, but disliked intensely the other 2 in the sample set I bought- can't remember what number they were. If you like crisp and herby, then n 1 is wonderful.

3D- Dior and Chanel both do that with "used" perfumes- the sales are blocked, it will go through if you change the title so as not to hit the filter the companies have put in. eg I have often emailed sellers to get them to remove the name Dior for example.

Going out later for pre-study holiday meeting with the anxious mammies. I shall gird my loins and wait for the inevitable "but do they have fruit in England?" questions. Dd has already primed me as one of her friends was appalled at the idea of carpets in bedrooms and said "but what if we spill milk on the carpet?" Why would you? Would be my initial response, but hey ho.

1 Million can be a really interesting fragrance. It doesn't work on me - I can't handle the cinnamon - but I have a friend who wears it and loves it. She also really likes Invictus.

I visited the John Lewis clearance sale this lunchtime. Came away with a haul including Prada Iris Cedre (yes!) and Miller Harris Rose Silence for £21 - didn’t really need that but it was £21 for a full bottle

I did some wishful online perfume shopping today. Loaded my basket with samples at Bloom and 9mls of Sexiest Scent and WIDOMH at 4160...but didn’t check out.

Must, must, MUST stick to my no spend over the summer rule! You lot make it very hard, though...

SOTE is Dear Rose (Song for a Queen).

Bit confused by this one.

No rose in it. Described on Fragrantica as a floral woody musk. I’d say it’s much more a vanilla fragrance. Thick vanilla and benzoin, heliotrope, faintly leathery. Jasmine and orange blossom are other notes mentioned, but I’m not getting the flowers at all.

Nothing groundbreaking, but quite comforting after a long day.

Off to the Ed Sheeran concert tonight.

SotE is Prada infusions d' Amande (thanks again to Blue for introducing me to this) sweet, true almond in the top notes, then settles into a lovely powdery heliotrope and hints of infusion d'iris. Just beautiful.

Bet you’re having a fabulous time at the Ed Sheeran concert pineapple in your beautiful Amande Perfume. My mum and I have a small bottle each- I’ve noticed whenever she wears it and wafts by, it leaves a sparkling trail- and lasts all day on her. It’s a very special fragrance that one.

3Dspex I quite like Song for a Queen by Dear Rose- I get quite a lot of orange blossom and it smells very familiar to me like something I might have worn or smelt in my teens / early 20s. Possibly JPG Classique? I haven’t smelt that in years. To me it’s a nice perfume, but doesn’t scream niche and I wouldn’t pay £140 for it

Kittens the orange blossom has come through in the drydown and I totally agree with you. It’s rather lovely, but not at that price!
