Got to say I'm a bit fucked off with Hush CS.

No size 8 came back into stock today, despite assurance that whilst they couldn't guarantee it, there was a very good chance as they had a load coming back. Noticed this morning that a lot of sizes were back in, but whaddyaknow..not an 8.

In my desperation for this dress, I emailed CS again and asked if I could keep the damaged dress at a discount and mend it myself..OH said he would have a go at fixing the hook as he is a much better sewer than me!

Got an email back saying their preference was to wait and send me another dress, but couldn't give me any assurance they will get one.

I went back again and argued my case, and she bloody came back and said for me to 'get the dress repaired, send them a receipt for the cost and they could refund that to me'!!!!!!

So angry...I went back nd asked her how much she expected me to invoice them for a snagged dress and that my OH was going try nd fix the hook, so no I wasn't going to be able to send them a bloody receipt, and if they didn't offer me some further options I would return both dresses for a full refund and think very carefully about ordering anything else from them again

I have given them 7 days to send me another dress, but they haven't responded to my last (cross) email, I reckon they're aiming to not bother now as CS closes in 15 mins.

Sorry for the rant, I'm just pre-menstrual, upset and feeling a bit like crying as I really wanted to wear the dress tomorrow I don't get out to see my old friends much these days and the weather is meant to be nice..it's so annoying.

My parcel arrived. After last season everything being far too big I sized down to an 8/XS and am much happier with fit. Since I have the same dimensions I had in the eighties when I was a 12/M I do feel sorry for the properly petite people. Anyway, I think everything is a keeper. I LOVE the Military Jacket, really good weight and lovely soft cotton, like well worn chinos! The striped V-neck Tee is so well cut but pretty thin cotton so it will be interesting to see how it washes. Least sure about the cropped harems but I think that's just because they are a shape I've not worn before but they are lovely and comfy.

Probably taking it all out of proportion but just feeling really low and upset about this

Also please ignore white spots on bath room mirror ! Didnt notice those.. toothpaste I reckon

That's not good, Dave. Sometimes it's the littlest things that tip us over and the edge as well. Hope you find something els lovely to wear tomorrow and have a lovely day.

No I haven't had time to ring them again today as I was at work earlier, then school run/dinner time etc.

She has actually just replied and said they will wait until next Thursday to see if another dress comes in, failing that will 'look at other options'

Well I have to say I am a bit upset :(
Was sitting out in the sun at my mums feeling great in my lovely shirt dress and I noticed a loose thread at the pockets. Looked like the stitching is coming out! I have literally worn this dress twice [including today!] Anyway, it gets worse :( I go to the toilet and as I a fixing my hair clasp I notice there is a HOLE under the arms. The stitching has come apart. Have swifly emailed CS but I doubt they will get in touch with me until next week now :( So annoyed. Very poor stitching or threads. Not sure which one.

I am assuming they will want to inspect it. Do I wash it before I return it?

Dave That is shocking! How can anyone repair a pull? I would send them both back for a full refund.

Nice longish fine knit cardigan over it if you are feeling less brave and some fancy sparkly sandals or even flip flops. Lovely :)

They have such a good eye for the 'look' and the big picture in terms of styling, but not such an eye for detail, Hush do. And considering the prices, we really should be able to rely on quality. Very annoying.

Ahh Dave , yes wear the beach dress! .if you are a bit pale stick some fake tan on your pins!

never.. what is happening with Hush, no dont wash it any more, bust send it back, tell the that you are aware of the paint stain, but that's not the problem!

never definitely don't wash the dress, just take some photo's of the damage and send them to CS. I'd ring them first though so you can get a name of who you are dealing with as there's nothing more annoying than being passed from pillar to post.

To be fair, the girl I have been dealing with has been really nice and tried to be helpful..she kept referring to 'speaking to her manager' so get the impression she was just doing what she was told.

I said I would speak to 'the manager' directly but they weren't forthcoming!

I was just thinking that I would keep the damaged dress, OH could have a go at sewing the hook back on and I could carefully cut off the snags/loose threads..then I could wear it tomorrow rather than having to wait, but they seem hell bent on not giving any money off, even though it's their fault for sending out shoddy goods!

Sorry to read your Portobello woes dave cheeky people not offering you £ off straight away! I’d be fuming too but agree the other dress (I remember your pic wearing it) looks great on you too so wear that instead?

I think you’re right people Hush seem to be getting too big for their hushy boots, they’d be well advised to get their act together, I can easily take my business elsewhere if they mess me around 🤨

The link is easy. All you do is cut and paste the link at the the top of the search bar of the old thread into the message box. Its the same as if you were linking to a dress on the hush website. You just do it with the old thread. Is that what you mean?
I can do it but its too soon? There are still 50 odd posts left. Mind you, they should be used up over the weekend!

Dave I thought someone on this thread said they were sending back an 8 in the portabello so maybe they will get one in a few days. Rubbish service though - if you are on FB I would strongly recommend putting something on their FB page.
