Hi ladies I hope you don't mind me gatecrashing but I am after some advice. I've bought the s/s playsuit for a leaving do (it will be a messy pub crawl/nightclub thing - loadsa fun when your teetotal Confused) and I want some nice shoes to go with it. Max £20 really. What style should I look for?

My Marina in burgundy and my khaki military jacket getting a good airing today and yesterday. With plain white T from Cos and with pink Adidas gazelles or MV Adele shoes (studded flats like the Julies).

neveradullmoment99 · 18/05/2018 08:51

Duckling Love the playsuit. I think a pair of strappy heeled black sandals.
Cherries and Dave You both look fab. I am not even dressed yet!

neveradullmoment99 · 18/05/2018 08:54

If you aren't wanting heels - what about ballet flats Duck Something with a bit of sparkle?

neveradullmoment99 · 18/05/2018 08:55

Or a pair of pointy toe ballet flats.

SeekEveryEveryKnownHidingPlace · 18/05/2018 09:04

I'm work-at-home-Hush today - my policy on this raglan is to wear it to work at home until either it's less bright or it seems less bright to me, whichever comes first!

Hello duckling nice play suit - looks great. I'd go for some heels, probably coloured ones (hot pink or orange perhaps).

neveradullmoment99 · 18/05/2018 09:24

Seek is that the bubblegum raglan from this season? I have it but don’t think it’s particularly pink, I like yours better.

neveradullmoment99 · 18/05/2018 09:27

Btw - This is a size xs and I'm not an xs!

43andcounting · 18/05/2018 09:28

De-lurking to seek sizing advice from some more experienced Hush buyers, please!

I am trying to cut my clothing spending and have been stalking Ebay hoping to pick up bits and bobs. There are a few BNWT bits on there and I am interested in this denim jacket:

www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Hush-denim-jacket-size-14-BNWT/183230602137?hash=item2aa9651b99:g:V5AAAOSwjh5a-qjN

Can anyone advise on sizing? I am usually a 12-14 in Hush stuff but I am wondering if the 14 jacket would be ok?

neveradullmoment99 · 18/05/2018 09:28

Seek I don't think that the top looks that bright. Its a gorgeous pink.

43andcounting · 18/05/2018 09:29

never I disagree. The dress looks great on you, with or without leggings. I think sometimes we just get used to only seeing our legs covered in jeans/trousers through the looong British winter, so it takes an adjustment to see bare legs. If i had pins like yours I'd be getting them out at every opportunity!

neveradullmoment99 · 18/05/2018 09:30

43 I think the denim jackets are very true to size but like every denim jacket they can be very fitted. I think the 14 will be fine imo.

neveradullmoment99 · 18/05/2018 09:32

Thanks 43 What a nice thing to say. I was beginning to doubt the dress.

SeekEveryEveryKnownHidingPlace · 18/05/2018 09:35

User it's from the Christmas sale - I can't remember what the shade was called though.
Never I know but it's all relative! I'm very much a navy blue and black person usually!
And thanks both for the reassuring generally!

I also think the dress ^^ works well with or without tights!

happytobemrsg · 18/05/2018 09:40

I have never heard of Hush before this thread so thank you! I'm 5'6, size 10/12 & hate my mum tummy. I'm looking to buy clothes which I can wear year after year - I'm fed up of favourite H&M jumpers going out of shape & getting thrown. Does Hush clothes have longevity? Is it ok for someone of my shape or do they mainly cater for the tall, willowy ladies I can only dream of being??

43andcounting · 18/05/2018 09:49

Thanks for the sizing advice never, I think I'll take a punt. I can always re-ebay it if it's totally off the mark!

happy I'd say it's definitely cut for the mainstream, so absolutely fine for we who have less-than-perfect bodies. I am a fairly curvey 12-14 (big boobs and bum) and I live in their jeans for example.
