Lol. Sitting having coffee and debating it. I’m having the ‘I’m too old’ conversation, Dd says I need it. The mint velvet jacket I bought last week is going back, the zip is razor sharp.

Ellapaella · 14/05/2018 15:33

Go for it, it looks great.

If the only reason not to buy it is thinking you're too old - buy it!

Pondering Laska's question earlier - I never see anyone wearing Hush, or not knowingly. That's what I like about it! But I would feel like I wanted to give a secret sign of solidarity if I did see anyone in it!

DavetheCat2001 · 14/05/2018 16:14

Love it cherries!

neveradullmoment99 · 14/05/2018 16:51

Well I had my leopard tee on today! Very comfy. Wore it with my crop black trousers and chunky sandals. It was pretty warm here today.
Anway, I love that jacket on you cherries buy buy buy it!! You have probably bought It already!

As for people wearing hush, I have seen two people and they were definitely wearing hush. It was the yellow and grey zig zag scarf and the heart and arrow sintra shirt. Both at my local tescos!!! Different people though. Didn't like the shirt [sorry if you have it. Thought the print was a bit twee] and I loved the scarf. I ordered it but returned it as it was so like my love scarf in camel and grey.

DavetheCat2001 · 14/05/2018 16:51

Crap...the Portobello dress came back into stock momentarily earlier in a few sizes but not the one I wanted and was out of stock again within about 20 mins.

Shock
neveradullmoment99 · 14/05/2018 16:53

How blooding annoying Dave. I keep looking for the Ivy dress and it only comes back in a large. I'm not that bothered about it but it would be nice to have.

DavetheCat2001 · 14/05/2018 17:07

It is so annoying! I love the dress and it looks ok, but think it would definitely look better in the smaller size.

I'm thinking this is probably the case with a lot of people who have bought it so maybe none of the smaller sizes will come in again Sad

DavetheCat2001 · 14/05/2018 17:10

Btw, does anyone here have the Canterbury dress?

ThatKitKatCrunch · 14/05/2018 17:30

Talk me into buying harems please. I'm an all-seasons jeans wearer, but am doing some long haul travel and they look comfy. I'm a size 10... what size should I get?

neveradullmoment99 · 14/05/2018 17:32

I would go for the xs or the small. If you want them a bit baggier try the small. I am a 12 and I have the xs.

miffy2 · 14/05/2018 17:37

Dave I don't have the Canterbury but will probably order it soon, I think it will suit me better than the Portobello. I tend to wear a bra most of the time though so I would have to wear a black one and show the straps or hoik my norks into a strapless affair...I can see it being handy on hols over a biking though. Also I saw the Portobellos back in stock this morning and then I blinked and they disappeared! Must be some ninja fingers at work.

Kitkat I love love love my Harems and have 3 pairs (also strongly considering a cropped pair) - size down for sure. I wear small and I am a 12-14.

miffy2 · 14/05/2018 17:40

I am waiting till later in the week for my new credit card cycle (I don't get into debt as I pay it off every month but my spending month starts on the 16th LOL) and I think I will buy:

cropped harems
Canterbury dress
Black frayed mini IF it comes back in stock in a 12

Then if and when we ever get a code (hint hint Hush peeps...) I will get the star jeans and a blue v neck Tshirt. I might also pre-order the leopard maxi skirt just in case I cannot find another style in the mean time.

Ellapaella · 14/05/2018 17:42

Sorry Hushita’s slightly off topic here.. my Boden chino shorts arrived and I have to say I love them. I have never really worn shorts as I always think they make my legs look dumpy and generally they don’t suit me but these I really like. What do you all think of the navy colour with the pink Stella tee and green que sera tee? I do like it with white.
But... I may be doubting my saltwaters now... do they look okay with the shorts? I’m not sure if they don’t really look quite right. Can’t put my finger on why but I prefer them with flip flops (fine for beach but not for everyday running around).

Ella they look great with all three!

I do know what you mean about flip flops, but that's probably because I really only ever wear shorts on holiday which basically means the beach... I remember dd saying to me when she was really small and I had birkenstocks on with shorts 'you look nice... like you're going to climb a mountain or something', and although I can't explain why i knew just what she meant and always go with either trainers or flimsier sandals/flip flops with shorts.

That said, in isolation, those Saltwaters do look really nice!

DavetheCat2001 · 14/05/2018 17:53

The shorts look fab on you ella..you definitely do not have dumpy legs, but I know what you mean as I sometimes think shorts don't suit me either.

I think the saltwater look nice, as do the flip flops.

I do sometimes think my SW's make my legs look a bit on the dumpy side if wearing something short, but I think yours with the shorts look good.

I got my new pair of tan SW's last week too and have been wearing them loads.

neveradullmoment99 · 14/05/2018 18:04

Like everything on you. Saltwaters look great :)

neveradullmoment99 · 14/05/2018 18:05

I think for what its worth, the saltwaters look way better than the flip flops.

ilovecherries · 14/05/2018 18:18

dave, I got all excited as JL had a couple of portobellos but one was a 14 and DD noticed that the 8 had a hole in it - looked like a cigarette burn, the edges were crispy. When I looked closer, the swing tag had been cut and re sewn, so I guess someone had managed to sneak it back as a return after damaging it Angry

DavetheCat2001 · 14/05/2018 18:21

No worries cherries..thanks for looking Flowers

dontcallmelen · 14/05/2018 19:48

Ella those shorts are lovely, I bought some last year & are really comfy.
The salt waters look fine, but I must admit I’m not really a fan as they remind me of the sandals I used to wear when I was little, I have some palmeira sandals, which come in really lovely colours & are really soft leather maybe worth a look.

dontcallmelen · 14/05/2018 19:48

T shirts look fab too.

Ellapaella · 14/05/2018 20:00

Thanks everyone...
It's something about where that strap sits around my ankle with the saltwaters that I'm not sure about, I think it's in just the spot to emphasise my cankles! They look nice with cropped jeans and my harems Just but sure about with these shorts. I actually wanted the shorts on khaki but think I prefer navy as they do go well with all my Hush purchases that I've acquired over last few months.
Cherries did you buy the jacket? It looked lovely on you.

OP posts:
ilovecherries · 14/05/2018 20:05

Well, that was awkward. Decided I def wasn’t buying the jacket but strolling back down oxford street at 8pm and the shop was still open. On a Monday. Daughter declared this was the universe telling me I should have it and hustled me in to buy.

Ellapaella · 14/05/2018 20:26

Wise choice because it looked fantastic on you. Loved it with the necklace. Did you have a good day?
