Growingboys - a pp quoted below had the following to say about the Portobello dress:

Yes it was me Dave for me it had too much material both top and bottom so was very unflattering with the elastic waist. It also arrrived creased like a dish rag which didn’t help. It has a single hook and eye clip at the back of the neck which was not well stitched either .

Looks beautiful but bras would be the issue with me. Cannot stand the heat and a strapless bra that's uncomfortable. Going without a bra would be out of the question for me.

I've just received a Boden dress so I don't need another dress but I love the look of it on the website..

@Nearlyadoctor if you are reading, apart from the fact it arrived really creased, size-wise did you just go for your usual size or was it on the big side?

I received a boden dress a couple of days ago so I have quite a few new things. Really just want a few summery shorts and tees tbh. I am tempted by the skirt with the gold thread through it [similar to the dress]

Going to stop for a while now though. My dd's birthday in a couple of weeks so need to focus on that.

I think you should try it. I think it would really suit you. The only thing I dislike are the sleeves. They kind of stick out a bit but its minor.

Am v annoyed as have had a crap weekend and desperately want to buy a couple of hush things to cheer myself RIGHT NOW but cannot bring myself to do so without a code. I know from experience that if I do, the ordered items will go down in price/a new code will be sent to me within 24 hours...

I just shoved on some sandals that were kicking around when I tried it on! I quite like it and when I get fed up with it, will ebay it.
Its true to size. I am a 12. It only cost me £15 as I had £25 in vouchers they had sent to me. Make sure if you have any vouchers that you keep a hold of them. They say they expire but I have had mine since at least November and they also stack so you can get quite a bit off.
