Thanks ella think I'll keep it, like the sound of it with dark jeans (which I live in!) £35 is a bit steep for a Tshirt but never mind!

poppym12 · 05/05/2018 18:46

Hello 😁. never told me to come join you on here as I've just placed my first order.

I'd appreciate any tips on fit, is it true to size or hit and miss? I've ordered 6 things but don't intend to keep them all (unless they all look OK) so are Hush prompt with refunds?

I've ordered both types of harems, Monaco trousers, a jersey skirt, marina skirt in black and an alanis dress. I'm hoping the dress comes up big as my size wasn't in stock so I sized down.

Have any of you already bought any of these?

Laska5772 · 05/05/2018 18:56

Fantastic day here on IOW! I may have been out in th g arden most of the day in shorts and vest top and we may have the BBQ out cooking lamb for dinner . and i may have already had a Negroni and now have a Wine
Love Saltwaters Ella . I have gold and navy ... would love some in turquoise or yellow..

Ellapaella · 05/05/2018 19:01

Poppy welcome! I have the long harems, love them. They're so comfy and flattering and perfect for warm days like today with sandals or flip flops. The harems are true to size imo.

Glorious weather here in the southwest - lit the new BBQ for tea.

Never the cat and the dog here say the turquoise/ jade and when I showed the chickens I'm convinced they nodded in that direction too Grin

Nearlyadoctor · 05/05/2018 19:02

And just to clarify none of them shop in M&S!!!

neveradullmoment99 · 05/05/2018 19:21

Envy BBQ [weeping emoticon] The sun that had appeared for a second has been engulfed with cloud Summer? Whats that????

poppym12 · 05/05/2018 19:41

Thanks ella. I hope I don't look like a hippo in them.

DavetheCat2001 · 06/05/2018 10:14

Did someone here say they had bought and returned the Portobello dress? was it Dr?

I think it looks lovely on the model, but wondering if it's not so great on amber mortal!

AFingerofFudge · 06/05/2018 10:52

Ok, I'm being brave and posting a photo. Cropped harems (first outing) which is unlike anything I normally wear. Lightning bolt t-shirt with it. Will I be too hot in black crops?! Will I look even fatter?
Aaaargggh the angst!

Sod it, they're bloody comfortable Grin

Yes it was me Dave for me it had too much material both top and bottom so was very unflattering with the elastic waist. It also arrrived creased like a dish rag which didn’t help. It has a single hook and eye clip at the back of the neck which was not well stitched either .

Ellapaella · 06/05/2018 11:18

Fudge they look good! I like the cropped harems on you, they won't be too hot don't worry they are nice and light. Enjoy giving them their first outing in this lovely weather.

They look lovely, Fudge. Do they sit above/below/on your knee - can't quite see? And are they tight enough to leave marks? My skin seems to mark very easily these days, and it takes ages to fade (still got marks from wearing glasses rather than contacts yesterday).

poppym12 · 06/05/2018 14:02

I've ordered some cropped harems fudge. Can I ask what the fit is like please? Do they come up loose?

AFingerofFudge · 06/05/2018 16:40

Thanks for the positive comments! Well having walked 4 miles in them today I have to say they are so lovely and comfortable! I am a size 12-14 (14 really but I'm in denial) and I have the medium which is just perfect. The scrunched bit at the bottom is just below my knee but they haven't really left marks. They didn't even feel too hot in the 24 degree heat!

miffy2 · 06/05/2018 19:26

I really want the cropped harems (Love them on you in the photo, Fudge) but here's the thing. I own three pairs of the regular length and they are all size Small. I would be a 12-14 and I found the medium had too much material at the waist. My fear would be that if I order a small in the cropped, the gathered bit would be too tight around my calves (given the size). Anyone have both regular and cropped?

FWIW my current basket has the star jeans, cropped harems, black frayed denim mini and a light blue slub T (although expensive it will match the blue/green pleated skirt that I am dying to wear)

neveradullmoment99 · 06/05/2018 21:00

I have the cropped harems but haven't worn them yet. Might put them on tomorrow if I remember. What a beautiful day here - at last. Had my new MV flat studded pointy toe shoes on with my hush dark blue bf jeans and my hush slub V-neck on top. Had brought down my two jackets to my mums to decide over and I am none the wiser!!!! Still debating! Never mind. Feeling pretty tired now...

neveradullmoment99 · 06/05/2018 21:03

Laska bought the exact colour of jade green nail varnish to match the jade green of the jacket. Is this a sign???

neveradullmoment99 · 06/05/2018 21:05

Afinger The harems look good on you :)

miffy2 · 06/05/2018 22:39

I had a very Hush weekend too.
On Friday for work I wore my dark grey Holly jeans and my yellow sloppy Joe.
Went away overnight with DH yesterday and for the journey I wore my black Monaco trousers with a white gap tshirt.
Coming home today I wore my Kensington dress. So glad I bought it, I am getting great wear out of it already.

ilovecherries · 07/05/2018 06:31

I’ve had the Kensington on back order since March. It may be too big by the time it arrives, so wondering if I should order a 12 as well.

Ellapaella · 07/05/2018 08:10

I tried to order the Kensington but it said out of stock in my size. Why does it take so long for a back order?

Hi allSmile

I'm fairly new to Hush, I have one dress, bought last year in a size Xl. I am a size 16-18 (currently doing WW) and 5ft 7inches. Very top heavy (f cup) I'm wondering whether the xl is still a viable option?

I'm unsure of their sizing really and find the xl dress fits but is a bit baggy on top(though it's part of the style) but seems more baggy iyswim than fashion.

Anyhow...I'll be following this thread. You all look so lovely in the gorgeous clothes! Just gutted I can't fit into their shoes 😭😭😭

ilovecherries · 07/05/2018 11:47

Velocity, I'm also 5'7 and I started to wear Hush last September at a size 16-18 and wearing 36K, but I've never worn bigger than the large. I'm now a 12-14 (heading nearer the 12 than the 14), and a 32K and I dance between S and M in hush. I think unless it's very fitted it would be worth trying a size down.

ilovecherries · 07/05/2018 11:48

In the Ivy dress, for example, I bought it last autumn in a M, and it's really too big now.
