Just like mine QueenC, nice. I’m imagining the Halterneck dress worn with a big tan belt.....will see.

Everyonelovessparkles · 05/05/2018 08:17

Nice birks blair, I remember making my DH paint my toes too when I was pregnant with DD. Second what queenc. Says about a pedicure too. I even had a bikini wax as was paranoid about people poking about ‘down there’. Though when the time comes, you really don’t care! I didn’t bother with DS Grin.

Glad your new glasses have arrived one. I got some new ones recently and it does make a difference. (Though I still haven’t got my new prescription sunglasses due to an absolute debacle at boots Hmm.

I couldn’t open your cos links queenc but the jeans and top were nice. I agree that Rixo print on the blouse you posted on the previous page is really pretty.

A lovely sunny day 😎 think we’re off out on a picnic somewhere. Hope everyone has a lovely weekend.

QueenCornflower · 05/05/2018 09:55

everyone I’ve never bothered with a bikini wax (except before honeymoon but so painful never again!) but before my section I tried to remove some hair so that they could do the cut as low as possible and if they shave you it increases the infection risk. Why I thought it was a good idea to mess with hair removal cream underneath a 9 month bump I’ll never know Grin

Longislandicetee · 05/05/2018 11:19

QueenC that made me wince and laughGrin

I discovered today that prints on my are is not a good look on me. Unfortunately I have only had this epiphany while I am out and about in townHmmGrin

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 05/05/2018 11:23

everyone i'm waiting on sunglasses as well, they are having to order my lenses in specially so even though they were ordered first, they aren't ready yet. Very happy with my new glasses, the shape is completely different to my last two pairs so a bit of a departure but my housemate who is VERY stylish really likes them and says they are a good shape on me. Dp also really likes them, he says i'm very lucky as i can carry off most shapes when it comes to glasses, he says hes never seen me yet with a bad pair!

kittyhello · 05/05/2018 13:59

Every I really like those slides they're a bit like Yves' Hermès ones.

Blair I've been wearing my gold Birks these past few days, I really like them.

For once I feel ahead of the curve, I bought some raw hedge jeans about 2 years ago, they're cropped and slightly flared so I wear them in summer with Havaina's.

maradesbois · 05/05/2018 15:13

Hello,

So lovely to have the good weather back. Today am enjoying wearing marant denim dress from 2 years ago and brown sandals from last year, both 50% off in sale iirc.

Kitty yes, Everyone’s sandals are Hermès Oran dupes. They look good Everyone but am always shocked at how expensive Dune is.

QueenC love the ts jeans.

Will check back on old thread and do a recap of mu attendees and maybe’s. Still plenty of time to get your name down - 30th June daytime. Dry can you make it? Blingy? Stokey? Others?

Marsha it makes me happy that you have that beautiful dress!! Great outfit with the pale blue heels

Agree with Everyone and QueenC about the fab Rixo print. Such a nice label, hand made in London and gorgeous prints.

I can make the MU mara. Looking forward to fashion chat and 🍾.

Yes I’ve read that those dune slides are a dupe for the Hermes ones. I’m still undecided as to whether to purchase. They do seem pretty wearable and they were comfy....I think dune shoes have definitely become more expensive in the last 2 years. They used to be a good mid price place but most stuff seems to pushing £60+ these days.

kittyhello · 06/05/2018 08:06

Can you put me down as a maybe please Mara?

DryWhiteagainW · 06/05/2018 09:24

I’m not sure I can Mara, I will let you know .

Re pedicures for Blair . I seem to recall nail varnish may have been an issue when I had my CS .....they had to check the colour of my nails for some reason Hmm....anaesthetic? (It was a loooonnnnggggg time ago)

QueenCornflower · 06/05/2018 09:29

Morning all.i went out out last night and realised that I have no going out summer tops. It’s been a while since I went properly out and so spent a lot of time people watching-lots of people wearing dresses, either mid calf or short short or v short playsuits or jeans with wedges.i felt happy in my jeans, star blouse and silver shoes but would like a slightly nicer top.

Anyway, I’m going to do my usual Sunday morning perusal of new in....

QueenCornflower · 06/05/2018 09:31

for blingy

DryWhiteagainW · 06/05/2018 09:31

Not a huge problem I know, but I’ve been reflecting on my recent splurge. Having been very disciplined (because there’s really nothing I fancy or need out there right now) I’ve well and truly fallen off the wagon and ordered loads of cheaper stuff recently. DD took one look at my new green Oasis wrap top yesterday and deemed it “middle aged and not me” Hmm. I’ve gone back to my quantity rather than quality old habits and most of it will go back.
I think I do this because 1) I’m bored with winter stuff and now I’ve seen the sun I need an instant fix 2) I’m carrying a few extra pounds and want to cheer myself up.
Need to control myself.

QueenCornflower · 06/05/2018 09:32

or this colour way

QueenCornflower · 06/05/2018 09:34

for shop

Longislandicetee · 06/05/2018 11:48

Morning! QueenC I bought the LKB espidrilles you linked last SundayFlowers. There's a code - GRAZIA25 - which gets you 25% of this weekend.

I like that McQueen dress in the black and white. Not sure I love it enough to buy though.Smile

Dry I understand the extra few pounds thing and the temptation to buy new stuff so you still look good. My extra pounds means I have gone from being a 4/6 so most 6s were lose on me to not quite 6/8. So 8s too big and gape-y on me when i try them but some of my 6s being snug. I can't win and it's putting me off clothes.Hmm

Our plan for the next 2 days is to live in the garden.... Dh said to me this morning "how is wearing hot pants and a t shirt to church appropriate?"Grin

Everyonelovessparkles · 06/05/2018 15:59

Have you got the espadrilles yet blingy? I like the idea of them (and agree that there are some lovely colours in LKB) but don’t know when / with what I would wear them, as I’m either a sandal or a shoe person. If it was hot I would be in a sandal and if not then a ballet flat so not sure where the espadrille fits in....

dry I know what you mean about spending sprees. Because there is nothing that i really need, I keep getting tempted by all sorts of things. I thought the green wrap top was a pretty colour but maybe it was one of those things you have to try on??

Your going out outfit sounded nice queenc. Have you a style of top in mind that you are on the look out for?

We had a failed going out day today. We were heading to the coast, but an accident en route closed the road and the traffic was mental, then everywhere was busy so we just came home, so spent all morning just driving round Surrey Hmm. The DC are very irritable with the heat as well. I’m just counting down till it’s time for a wine Grin.

Everyonelovessparkles · 06/05/2018 16:29

How’s your hen do wardrobe planning coming on shop? Would this top work with shorts or even skinnies / blazer for other going out outfits?sparkley cami / vest

MarshaBradyo · 06/05/2018 16:56

Off my threads I’m in so popping into say this weather is so glorious. Love it

Everyonelovessparkles · 06/05/2018 20:11

Lots of lovely lemon print out there at the moment if that’s your thing mint velvet cami ( love this!) , navy cami , linen shirt, stripey t’shirt

libertyonhertravels · 07/05/2018 10:50

Blingy I think your DH has a fair point and I too want to know how wearing hotpants and a crop top to church is appropriate???

Shop you have to try that silver sequin top Everyone has linked for you - would look amazing with black shorts for a night out on holidays.

Everyone I think you asked back on the last thread if I had started work yet - I have and I'm shattered hence the lack of input on here. Life has gone from super chilled to crazy in a very short period of time. New job for me plus new school for DD plus new house that needs the electrics done within 4 weeks of taking possession to keep the insurers happy is an exhausting mix.

Marsha that dress is fabulous and is perfect Italian wedding outfit with the GR's.

Dry don't be so hard on yourself - just send it all back! It's only clothes.

I have mixed feeling about an MU without me - I feel betrayed, like you've all moved on drama queen

On that note, the drama of all the new stuff and the fact that we are now settled for real has hit me hard a few times in the last few days. I had a full on weep at the swimming pool the other day, just sobbing as I sat and watched DD and DH swim and then sobbed some more when I realised that the time meant I couldn't call anyone in UK or Ireland and that I didn't feel able to dump it on any of my buddies here. The whole thing was triggered by a sodding sports co-ordinator at DD's new school accusing me of 'lacking commitment' because I decided to pull DD out of hockey as in my anxiety to help her fit in I had signed her up for too many things and she was exhausted. Apparently pulling a 7 year old out of hockey 'after making a commitment to play' is NOT the done thing. I managed to resist the urge to tell her to fuck off to the far end of fuck.

kittyhello · 07/05/2018 11:51

Lib lovely to hear from you and no MU will be the same without you Sad. It sounds as if everything has all happened at once and I imagine it will take time to get back into the full swing of work, school, home stuff coupled with the realities of life down under kicking in. Angry about the sports co-ordinator, it's up to you what activities dd does. As you know we're always here if ever you want to sound off.

Dry Blingy I too am carrying a few extra pounds. I blame the awfully long spell of cold weather which rendered me stuck indoors for the last 6 months with no motivation to go outside. I also had no inclination to eat lightly when it was permanently 6 degrees for weeks on end, or so it seemed, in March/April.

As a result I am only ordering tops whilst trying to slim down into my shorts/trousers etc. I also think it's harder to do quality summer clothing when we wear them for such a limited time. As such I have ordered:

white Lacoste polo also ordered it in the kids size too

and Maison Labiche Breton even though I told myself no more Bretons this year.

Shop when are you off to Mallorca? Envy

Everyonelovessparkles · 07/05/2018 19:26

shop if you are interested in that top, membr15off will give you a 15% discount but it ends tonight.

DryWhiteagainW · 07/05/2018 22:37

Liberty that’s horrid....and REALLY ????? Pressure like that on 7yr olds? Stupid woman.

Ok, parenting tip for those of you with girls. When you get a cream dressing table/ chest of drawers for your DD, get a piece of glass cut to cover the top as when they hit teens it will get covered in makeup and you can just wipe it off, no damage. Then invest in cheap, dark coloured towels because fake tan ruins your best white linen. Gah
