paper I think it’s lovely, but I wouldn’t buy it or wear it. (I’ve not left the house today.) I used to be a huge fan and had all the different body products as well as perfumes, until I started teaching, and then it seemed like all my female students wore it. I completely went off it. I sold it all on eBay - including a bottle of pure perfume - in the end.

Pest a good haul there and one of my favourites (Noix de Tubereuse). Incidentally I’ve just purchased a Miller Harris candle from TK Maxx online. Just £13 now- I got fleur oriental. I also purchased an Agonist candle as I imagine they’ll be good quality- just £16 and they’re quite large. They should keep me going a few months (love a scented candle.

I love a scented candle too liberty though i don't buy as many as i'd like as don't have as much time as i'd like to sit with them burning. still, i might visit TKMaxx and see about picking up some smaller sized ones as bigger ones just don't seem to get used up

SOTE is just shampoo and Philosophy amazing grace shower gel after my shower. not sure i can be bothered now to put an actual scent on

Beware of buying candles from TKMaxx if they don't come in a box. I ordered one and although it was wrapped in bubble wrap, it was wrapped unevenly, with one side with only 1 layer, and consequently arrived smashed.
When I took it to the store to get a refund, the woman on the till told me they were getting lots of returns that had arrived smashed, so were keeping a log.
It's annoying, because they have candles on the site that are not in store.

SOTD is Friedemodin Vertine. This is great - fresh, crisp and green with fig leaves and grass. Second favourite of this sampler after Feu Follet and an excellent Monday morning pick-me-up.

SOTD is ELDO eau de protection after my FB purchase yesterday, I'm spraying the sample with abandon!

It must! It's the only ELDO scent I've ever tried but I loved it from the first smell

Sotd prob obsession

no SOTD as yet, been up since 6am but can't face making a choice yet!! Think i'm going to have a nice strong coffee and then think about what to put on!

Sotd, Tempus Ludendi, another sample from Pell Wall. Not fussed by it, it smells a bit like air freshener on me! I am considering scrubbing it for Juniper Sling...

Soooo....I have a question...and if anyone knows the answer it will be you guys!

I've been wearing mitsouko since I was very kindly sent a sample...but it smells so much nicer on the paper test strip than it does on me 😔😔

There have been a few fragrances like this over the years...so is it my skin?

I seem to particularly have trouble with guerlains and chanels...they just smell bluergh on me 😣

I tend towards combination/oily skin but since pg with ds1 it's become increasingly sensitive too

Is there a guide for notes/scents to avoid based on skin type?

It's got to be my skin that does this to fragrances....no fragrance lasts that long on me either! I am very envious of those of you that can still smell perfume the next morning!

I've been using Liberté by Cacharel for years now (last one bought in duty free). I've been vaguely looking for a new one and it seems to be unavailable, presumably superseded by a newer version.

Does anyone know where to find it or can you recommend a similar fragrance? Thanks

mrsR there are some scents, that smell like toilet duck as soon as they hit my skin! Ange ou Demon is especially bad for it even though I absolutely love how it smells in the bottle and it has notes that i love and smell fine on me in other perfumes!

Floofy I would love to try MG Lemon if that's ok? It's the only one I haven't tried. I like Plum & Cherry, Fire sounds up my street but did not suit me so went to MIL.

SOTD is Avery E, every time I wear this I like it more. I just can't justify £160 for a fb at the moment

mrsreynolds have you tried Mona di Orio’s Vanilla?
It’s a wondrous tour of Non-sweet Vanilla, wood and spices and is loved by many. Even me as a Vanilla-phobe.
