pestilentialboundary · 25/03/2018 14:20

Count I have 100ml of Girl, so if no one scores you a bottle, let me know. I have some 5ml spray bottles.

mrsreynolds · 25/03/2018 14:42

Sotd Lagerfeld sun moon stars

AlexisColbysFANCYfrock · 25/03/2018 15:05

Hello all. I’ve been AWOL for a few days as had a really emotional day on Thursday (funeral) and then cane town with some sort of freak infection overnight Thursday which completely floored me. Thought it was tonsillitis but seems to be easing now after a couple of grim days of not being able to get out of bed at all.

Have just tentatively spritzed myself with ET Diamonds & Emeralds after a bath and settling down to watch a film.

mrsreynolds · 25/03/2018 15:12

Take it easy fancy

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 25/03/2018 15:13

hope you feel better soon fancy Thanks

MrsGruber · 25/03/2018 15:34

[Flowers] for Fancy.

Pest - I needed an emergency mini gift for a teen so Vince C got rehomed ahead of the Sniff. I don't usually care much about bottles but pink juice and 'princessy' detail are a bit of a turn-off. (What is it with all the sickly hyper-feminity?).

Count and Sock I have just discovered loads of PW Girl in another Poundland I happened to be passing today so of course had to buy one, would have been rude not to. So very happy for you to have the one Sock had earmarked for me. And happy to go back for more to post out if needed?

SOTD afternoon is Brocade Aphrodisia, smells lovely in the sunshine.

ISpentTheDayInBed · 25/03/2018 15:36

Went to the Trafford Centre this morning to popped into Selfridges. I tried Tom Ford Velvet Orchid, which I love. I had a look on ebay and there are a few on there which seem reasonably priced, but I guess if it's too good to be true... Probably better to get one in duty free next month. Also tried the Soliel Blanc, but that smells horrible on me, the coconut is very strong.

Ollivander84 · 25/03/2018 15:41

SOTD another kiss by the fireside

I want to buy pink sugar Blushas never smelt it so that's on my list!

Ollivander84 · 25/03/2018 15:45

oneNight AngryAngry cocosa had eau de protection for £68. Bought BlushGrin

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 25/03/2018 16:06

sorry not sorry ollivander Grin

Ollivander84 · 25/03/2018 16:43

I'm so pleased to finally get a FB, it's so lovely!

CountFosco · 25/03/2018 16:46

Popped into HoF to see if The Fragrance Shop had MG Lemon (you lot are a bad influence). Shop assistant with painted on eyebrows said no but website said yes Hmm so buying from the website to pick up in store. To make myself feel better I sprayed myself with Guerlain Vetiver. Now sniffing my wrist while watching DD2 swim. I need to buy this, it has been sitting in my allbeauty basket for weeks.

OCSockOrphanage · 25/03/2018 18:29

Count, PM your address to me and 10ml of Girl will wing its way to you via your postie... I have several going begging.

OCSockOrphanage · 25/03/2018 18:31

No scent today, Blush I am about to go in the shower having spent the day gardening! It was the first day of spring here, but sadly it seems more cold weather is to come.

LibertyBlue · 25/03/2018 18:58

Flowers for Fancy

Yeay to more Poundland sightings of Girl! But also how sad the fate of this unique sounding perfume. Can’t wait to try it!

LibertyBlue · 25/03/2018 19:04

SOTE is Atelier Cologne Iris Rebelle- I’m enjoying this. The Iris is woody and dry, quite earthy/carroty which I’m digging. For an AC the sillage isn’t too bad - it’s a better accomplished Iris than Hermes Hiris which is in the same Iris department (earthy, vegetal).

UnnecessaryFennel · 25/03/2018 19:27

SOTE is Creamy Vanilla Crumble for an evening in front of the telly in pyjamas, watching the addictive rubbish that is Netflix's Orphan Black, eating toast and drinking tea.

I haven't bothered with the Sniff today - it leaked a couple of weeks ago so I already knew it was a vile princessy minger Grin

CheapTarnishedGlitter · 25/03/2018 19:47

SotD is the Big Sniff. Not amazing not terrible.

Sorry to hear it's been a tough few days Fancy Flowers

Fennel I read that wrong and thought you were sitting down to watch Telly Addicts Blush

auberginesrus · 25/03/2018 20:31

BTW there are 100ml bottles of Girl on All Beauty for £15 which actually works out dearer than the Poundland ones per ml but its a much nicer bottle!

I've had a spray of mine on the back of my hand tonight, it's rather lovely but definitely not girly!

pestilentialboundary · 25/03/2018 20:50

SotE is Tea for Two, rather sweet, but I can just cope. The tea, tobacco and spice just, just makes up for the incredible sweetness.

Judydreamsofhorses · 25/03/2018 20:50

SOTD is a sample of the new Coco Mademoiselle intense. I forgot about the Big Sniff.

papersmile · 25/03/2018 21:16

Judy - what did you think of the new Coco? I think I like it.

I finally had the chance to try Coromandel today. I gave myself a hefty spray on each wrist but I have struggled to smell it. What's going on? Reviews I've read have said that it's a bit of a powerhouse of a perfume. It was one of the boutique stores so definitely a legit bottle. The faint wafts I got I really liked. Has anyone else had a similar experience or an idea why it seemed so meek?

MrsGruber · 25/03/2018 21:23

SsotE are both vintage Max Factor thanks to my eagle eyed and very kind sister. Epris and LA. (1981 and 80 respectively I think?). Epris is an animalic chypre (sexy-dirty for a while, but not excessively so). LA is difficult to describe. It's not like Chinatown but the start of it seems to me to belong to the same class of oriental; floral with something chalky/gluey from the back of an old stationery cupboard? It's bolder (borderline brash to start with). The dry down is warmer and more powdery. Feels like a bit of a guilty pleasure, but it is lovely, especially after the first hour.

I also have some vintage Tweed (15ml) which will be heading to ebay unless anyone fancies a swap?
