Violet No need! 😊 pm your address and I will get some sent out to you.

Anyone else for some Arrogant Cat Dawn I??
I have lots of empty atomisers.

In its defence, it does dry down quite pleasant. It's well rounded, a real Christmas scent to me worst case it will be my Christmas room spray

I'm trying a scent from "Bloom around the world in ten raw ingredients" tonight.
Palo Santon - Camer

It's not a million miles away from Arrogant Cat unless it's stuck up my nose and all I will smell is Arrogant Cat forever

It's warm milk, spice and wood, the Palo Santon does it better, it's elegant and cosy and rich and swoony......

If anyone needs some some persuasion for Arrogant Cat

^By dusk.... could it be her again?... is she back? Where did she come from? Nobody knows....

She is enigmatic. She comes and goes in the night. Sleek, sophisticated and outrageously seductive. The only way she can be traced is through her unique scent...^

And high 5's all round if you co ordinated pants/trousers and met up in Somerset house 🤚🏻

We discussed it PP, trews and all, but there might have been be a teensy-weensy bit of creative visualisation involved below. Wink

PositivePineapple I have PMd you about the Arrogant Cat 😀
The Bloom fragrance sounds interesting too, I need to do a proper sleuth round their website. I am planning a trip to London next May and my husband immediately said, you're not going for sightseeing you want to buy perfume! You got me DH. Guilty as charged 😂
Sotd is Pell Wall Pretty in Pink, I shall give it another chance before I recycle it. Today I have warmed to it a bit, it's a fresh floral. I don't think it will have all that much longevity though.
I saw the 4160 Crowdfunder, I nearly hit the trigger on the 4 fragrances in 9mls but really the only one I know of that i like the sound of is White Queen, the non sweet gourmand. I shall wait and buy that separately instead. It's way too easy to get caught up in the hype!

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 23/03/2018 07:59

ahhh im interested in the 4160 Tuesdays crowdfunding but tbh, i can't really afford or justify spending that much when i have a big holiday coming up

LibertyBlue · 23/03/2018 08:16

Love the idea of a perfumista meet up at Somerset House in Perfume bottle adorned trousers...even if it was a fantasy! (For those who might be wondering about the Somerset House reference- there held a Perfume exhibition last summer which many of us visited).

So my thoughts on Floral Street Iris Goddess (IG) vs AC Iris Rebelle (IR)...

IG was quite earthy/carroty but not in a shocking way because of the vanilla. The drydown was really creamy and developed into a sweeter Iris. I did find the opening a bit harsh, but this develops into a woody creamy Iris. Longevity very good and I can still smell a faint whisper this morning.

IR smelt great from the off. A very dry woody Iris with some citrus, but very subtle. I felt this was a very different fragrance for the house and longevity better than usual. I think it was quite linear, it didn’t get sweeter and remained very dry and woody.

So I preferred IR on opening and IR on drydown.

Anyone else obsessed with Iris at the moment?

LibertyBlue · 23/03/2018 08:18

Doh! Preferred IR on opening and IG on drydown

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 23/03/2018 08:39

I haven't knowingly tried any iris heavy scents liberty but I would like to at some point. being honest though, I need to work through at least some of my current collection before I invest heavily in anything. The only things I've bought recently have either been super cheap or PP dupes.

MrsGruber · 23/03/2018 08:44

On 4160s, it's a small operation making stuff by hand in London. One of the interesting things about them, amplified by their workshops and their social media presence, is there are not layers and layers of corporate bureaucracy and marketing people sitting between the perfume making and you and the finished product. For instance, the 'mods' that get sold off in sales are late stage prototypes. (Recall LT might have said something about their relative prolificacy in his ILove blog?).

One of the fun things about the crowd funding projects is that you are supporting innovation, and there is a leap of faith involved. Not really very risky, given scope for swaps and ebay.

Yes, love iris liberty, keep meaning to buy the Bloom set.

SOTD is Eau My Soul. Sparkly sandalwood and cognac gorgeousness. LOVE.

auberginesrus · 23/03/2018 09:38

Morning everyone,

Still feeling under the weather :( SOTD is Ealing Green which is gorgeous but not really suiting my mood. In better news I'm hopefully picking my new car up later :)

The 4160s crowd funding is tempting and I am considering the 4x 9ml offer after payday next week, cannot spend any more money until then especially as in my poorly fugue state I ordered some samples from Les Senteurs (L'eau d'Hiver, Dryad, Lonestar Memories and L'air du Desert Marocain) plus a Byredo Gypsy Water sample from Ebay. What has come over me?!

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 23/03/2018 09:47

Where, in London, is the best place for samples? I am a big blind buyer but when it comes to spending larger amounts on scents, I do think I should probably do some sampling first! Can get to anywhere that's reasonably central is anyone has any recommendations :)

Ollivander84 · 23/03/2018 10:27

Sexiest scent today for my birthday Grin

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 23/03/2018 11:04

Just picked up 50ml of obssession and 30mls of marc jacobs honey for £10 each on my local boots clearance shelf.very pleased with them.they have a few other bits i might go back for when funds allow!im only buying things that are cheap thats my promise to myself at least until the holiday is over!!!

mrsreynolds · 23/03/2018 11:17

50mls of obsession for £10!!?
Where do you live!!?

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 23/03/2018 11:18

North london!

LibertyBlue · 23/03/2018 11:31

SOTD is Iris Cendre by Naomi Goodsir, just to continue the theme! The Iris is strong here- really whacks you on the nose, very dry and lots of tabacco. It’s very warming so must be Amber coming through now. I like it a lot (but not the price!)

Top sample shops in London are Bloom (Covent Garden) and Les Senteurs (Elizabeth street). All samples are £2 at Bloom which is a bargain considering some should be £5/10. This price is only available in the shop. I’d also recommend floral Street (Covent Garden) they are very good at guiding you through the 8 scents and sell sample packs for £12. Other perfume shops in Covent Garden are Miller Harris Penhaligon’s Chanel Atelier Cologne

mrsreynolds · 23/03/2018 11:39

Gah! I'm boringly northern 😁

I must try to get to bloom someday....

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 23/03/2018 11:49

I can check if there's any left next week when i go in again mrsR obviously I can't promise there will be any left but if there is, i could pick you one up for cost plus postage? Its no bother for me to have a quick look as I'll be going in for my prescriptions anyway

UnnecessaryFennel · 23/03/2018 11:51

Happy birthday ollivander!

I have a generous squirt of Tom Ford Plum Japonais in my left elbow crook. I rather like it - very spicy, incensey with rich dark fruits (as one might expect!) The price, though Shock

Have also tried the Hermes Rhubarb Eclarte which is fab - crisp and sharp, softening on the dry down but still has a lovely brightness. I want to buy a bottle and keep it in the fridge for hot summer days.

auberginesrus · 23/03/2018 12:07

Happy Birthday Ollivander Cake

I second what Liberty said about Bloom, had such a fab time there.

Ollivander84 · 23/03/2018 12:08

I have a giant cake jar Grin

Happy birthday ollivander! that's a fantastic looking cake, i bet it's absolutely delicious!!! Thanks

pestilentialboundary · 23/03/2018 12:33

Don't make your self sick olivanda, that does look more like a trifle.

BigPuddleOfFloofyCatOnTheFloor · 23/03/2018 12:55

Omg Olli, did you make that, or buy it? I need to know. For a friend of course

Papersmile I tempted to check out that TF one, I detested the Tobacco Vanille one (Vicks galore on me) and was a bit meh about TF generally but have fallen in love with Neroli Portofino and Black Orchid (PP dupes are gorgeous) so might re try a vanillary one.

Pineapple you're making arrogant cat sound amazing, tbh. I would totally be up for a sample, if it's ok? Can PP you postage or send you something in return?

My Mary Greenwells have arrived (pineapple you've probably tried both but if not would be delighted to swap some for some milky cat Grin) and I am thrilled, I knew I liked Plum but hadn't tried Lemon, a lot of people said old lady so thought I would love it Wink and I do. They have really cheered me up as I was in a foul mood this morning, especially as I didn't actually get them myself, just showed them to DH and he bought them for me. I'd really like to do the 4160s crowd funding but I have spent far too much lately, it's so dangerous when I'm on enforced bed rest Blush I do smell gorgeous and look like Alexis Colby though, so totally worth it!

Re Iris, I really want to try the Infusions one, gets a lot of love on here, is it you PIAM, that rates the PP version?

Umm MrsG don't you know it's Spring and we have moved on from the trousers...I give you this little beauty (once again, not me in the picture. Sadly Grin)
