Experiment you were asking about MADARA body oil some time ago. Well, they have announced for tomorrow only 40% off most products and free 50ml moisturiser as a gift for orders over 60 euros. From previous experience if you go bonkers and spend double 60 euros they send you two free gifts. Not trying to encourage here, but if you were thinking about getting something from this could be a good moment.

ememem84 · 21/05/2018 21:45

I have checked my stash and have no body scrub. Hmm.

It’s something I use when I have it. But I’ve had it for ages. Now miss it.

Hmmmm

flameprincess · 21/05/2018 22:59

Hello all, lurker here wishing to join in! I have a seemingly endless collection of half bottles of shampoo... I use loads of conditioner and always run out before the shampoo. Go to buy more and lo and behold Boots will have 3 for 2. You would think aah buy 3 conditioners but no, I see a new shiny brand I want to try and NEED the matching set to test it out Hmm

Save me from myself!

suchatiredbunny · 22/05/2018 07:58

DD finished up her John Frieda shampoo and conditioner so I have replaced them for her, 3 for 2 so got a hair mask to go with them and my goodness her hair looked amazing after! She has blonde curly hair that's nearly at her waist thank god she's old enough to do her own her these days and this stuff made it into loose golden curls that didn't look like straw! Will def buy again might make her use her pocket money next time

I've finished a 15ml Liz Earle superskin moisturiser, I love this stuff and bought the superskin tsv on Sunday having spent the week telling myself I didn't really need it. Also finished a Costco sized dry shampoo and a Neals yard shower gel. Bought a clean and clear spot gel thingy after reading about it on another thread and am really impressed with it, I have a hormonal spot/lump that keeps bubbling up on my chin and this stuff took the swelling right down really quickly, so I would definitely recommend that.

Experiment627 · 26/05/2018 09:51

Thought I'd drop in and say hello...

I was a regular visitor to the thread a while ago - nice to see some familiar faces.

Congrats Kwick I am thrilled for you Grin

Now...about my stash...

eeeek!

ememem84 · 28/05/2018 06:44

I bought some treats from clarins. Mil is here so in my v anxious state I bought peach toning water, body scrub, and foot treatment cream. And got some freebies. Yay!

Experiment627 · 29/05/2018 07:00

@MrsDilligaf how are you honey?

I have an empty!

  • Clinique liquid facial soap mild 30ml: friend gave to me as it caused her to break out. No break outs this end but nothing wow either

I have a couple of travel size empties, all Neals Yard....an orange flower toner, white tea mist and an overnight beauty concentrate which was amazing stuff and I would buy a full size of from eBay

Em I am enjoying you mil stories on the money thread and as I have one just like yours I can say that Clarins purchases should be filed under 'vital to maintain sanity'.

ememem84 · 29/05/2018 15:49

bob it was a frugal purchase too as I had dh’s credit card....

applesandpears33 · 29/05/2018 19:00

I've fallen off this thread but want to get back on track. I've been using up full size products and progress has been slow - only a Soap and Glory handcream, M&S body lotion and clinique lipstick used up in the last month or so. I'm getting a bit bored of everything I'm using, but trying to shop the hoard, rather than buy new. Going away on my own for the weekend so will hopefully finish off a few sample products.

MrsDilligaf · 29/05/2018 19:43

Lol @Experiment627

All is good but you know...life!! just busy 😆

I daren't look at my hoard. It's grown sooo much. I don't know how it happens!

IPokeBadgers · 29/05/2018 19:53

Hey all! Good to see everyone still here, or dipping in and out, or whatever.Congrats to all the fertile feckers who are successfully upduffed.... throw some baby dust my way please for renewed tempts at ttc come July ( was stressing out, so booked a holiday for end of june and took a break from it....and currently waiting to hear back about 3 and 21 day bloods. Am 39, overweight, and husband is considerably older. ...think we may have missed the boat for kids tbh 😑 )

On the hoarding, well, chipping away at some things, managing to acquire others....def not as bad as I used to be. Finished one of the many handcreams today, a mini crabtree and Evelyn Caribbean Flowers one which I like. But no more handcream being purchased anytime soon due to general over abundance of the stuff!

MrsDilligaf · 29/05/2018 21:09

Badgers

Flinging baby dust your way. We're TTC again. M is 27 months and we're having a 6 month last ditch attempt. I'm 44, DH is 46 this year so time isn't on our side.

It's hard. I was pushing it at 41, but at 44 it's so much harder.

Sending hugs your way x

IPokeBadgers · 29/05/2018 21:38

Thank you Mrsdilligaf

Been trying on and off for 18 months and I thought I was pregnant at easter when period was 6 days late (I am NEVER late)....was gutted when realised I wasn't. Truthfully, if I'm not pregnant by my 40th (March next year) not sure if we will keep trying 😟

bobtailbunny · 29/05/2018 22:09

Badgers I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble, happy to send baby dust your way and will keep fingers crossed for you Flowers You too MrsD Flowers

PurpleNailVarnish · 29/05/2018 23:51

I'm sorry to hear about the difficulties of those TTC.
I'm wishing you all the best, I hope it happens for all of you.

I've got loads of empties, I'll make a list and write a here soon.

RiskIt4Biscuit · 30/05/2018 10:27

I have finished an Alpha H Liquid Gold.
I love this and already have another bottle ready to use.

Also finished a sample of the La Prairie Cellular Cream Platinum Rare.
I really liked this one and would love to get it, but is is so expensive (£578 for 30ml) that it is never going to happen.
It really suited my skin. It is a grey tinted cream (it does not look grey on the skin) with subtle shimmer in which looked amazing under my foundation.

PurpleNailVarnish · 30/05/2018 21:08

Ummmm...
I might have bought some more stuff especially to get the Cult Beauty free gift today

TeaAddict235 · 30/05/2018 22:24

Just celebrated my birthday so I'm super blessed that all my friends and family know that I like lotions and potions GrinGrin I now have some weleda body lotions and some hair masks to add to my quest for the holy grail.

I love a good product me

No empties to report but am encouraged by your work fellow addicts Grin

PurpleNailVarnish · 30/05/2018 23:06

Ok

I've got loads of empties to report, I've forgotten to write all of them down.
When DD 2 & 3 left for Uni they left a load of half empties in their bathroom and when they come back they inevitably bring even more stuff with them.
So with their agreement I've been trying to get through their stuff too.

So far:

. Clark's Boutique face mask sample.
I really liked this but probably won't buy it again because I've found Verso sheet masks to be best for my rosacea skin.
. Bumble & Bumble volumising shampoo & conditioner.
I was unimpressed with this, it didn't make my hair look good and was a lot of buck for a lack of bang.
. IGK walnut scalp scrub sample
No idea what this was supposed to do but it didn't do it!
. Shea moisture hair treatment.
It was quite good but I prefer L'Oréal long hair treatment.
. Body Shop Vanilla Bath Foam
Part of a Christmas gift, it was quite nice, smelled good and a bit of a treat.
. Thomas Roth body scrub.
Again, quite good but I wouldn't buy it again.
. Bayliss & Harding Body Wash
One of the DD's left overs, it was as good as any other. I quite liked it.
. Organix shampoo.
Another of the DD's left overs, again it was fine, my hair looked nice but I wouldn't rush out to buy it.
. Some lush bath bombs and some of the crumbly ones.
Another Christmas present, again, I liked them but I wouldn't rush out to replace them.
. Omorovicza firming neck cream sample.
Loved this, I will definitely buy more.
. Quite a few other scrubs, shower gels and shampoo left overs from DDs.
. The usual deodorants etc.

I've been reading the thread through and it's funny how some posters have lots of some products but not much of others.

I've run out of body cream so that was one of the things I bought in my Cult Beauty order today.

OTOH when the zombie apocalypse happens I will be chucking bottles of my seemingly endless supply of shampoos, conditioners and body scrubs down at them from the top bedroom window as they maraud towards our house.

I probably won't need to buy anymore shampoo until Christmas time I'm not exaggerating.

For me, this thread has helped me to be more discerning about the products I do like. So when I run out of things I will only replace them with products that work for me, rather than trying more stuff all the time.

Again, best wishes to all hoarders who are pregnant or trying to be.

AnotherPinkiePieStory · 31/05/2018 16:40

Your post made me giggle purple Come the apocalypse, I shall be trying to feed my family on lipsticks, body moisturiser and shower gel. And with greasy hair!
Finished 2 M&S 10ml perfumes that smell nice for about 15 secs then fade!
Also an odd Korean face cream that wouldn’t purchase again
Still working away at longest day list. Why did I ever buy foot powder? Stupid stuff!

And maybe bought some lovely things on glossier.

Baby dust for badgers and mrsd. Friend pregnant at 50 which is a scary but exciting thought. Thought was menopause and no idea how it happened, she says! Fertility is a funny beast so positive thoughts your way!

MrsDilligaf · 31/05/2018 20:19

I've told this story before but whilst on my hen do (I was 8 weeks pg with DD so sober as a judge) there was another party in the restaurant.

Other party was a lady celebrating her 50th birthday. Following her happy birthday cake she announced that she was 20 weeks pregnant Grin

Between us we had a combined age of 91, both having our first baby.

I often think of her and hope she's having a great time with her marauding toddler too.

IPokeBadgers · 31/05/2018 21:09

50 and pregnant? Wow. That's a bit crazy.
Afraid I have succumbed to the m&s beauty box....looks like a good one 😊

Experiment627 · 01/06/2018 07:07

Need to catch up but first... I have an empty!!!

  • Nivea body mousse: sinks in really well but once hands have it on hard to get anymore out!!!
