ok depsite haveing no real idea what dh does we are off on a works jolly in a ocuple of weeks to the caribbean fo four days. its a BIG deal fo dh to eb invited.

his company is from texas. there will eb a few hunder folk there, range of activites kayaking scuba divign snorkelling bike rides ectetc swimming wiht dolphins and so on.

and a restraunt night(?) and a gala dinner(!!!) coctail or long dresses - dont do long

need fashion ideas for that evenign and generaly colthing. haev lots of white bottoms need ideas fro what to wear during the day
accessories at snazzy hotel( haev never done snazzy) and so on

dh says th women will have big hari and square finger nails.

aslo how cold in the evnings

boden have a lovely blue'ish kaftan for over swim wear. kind of a wrinkled effect. I am buying one for my hols. not the caribbean but south of france so still quite glam wear needed. see what you think can't do link sorry

Cod, I'm sure you're not that kid of gal but (and this is not exactly a style tip!) topless sunbathing is not really the done thing in the US (in case you didn't know)....

I would say to wear what ever you like and are comfortable in - as others have said, being English will let you get away with lot!

If you want to borrow stuff I have a rose silk crumply knee length sleeveless dress in a 12 i think it is Sandwich or some such

I think go for sleek and elegant (if you can carry it off) and costume jewellery will be fine. Agree get your nails, toenails, waxing, facial hair (?) and all the rest done before you leave. I'm violently allergic to big hair so I would go the other extreme and think sort of swept back, sleek, Spanish-style with sun-protection on it for hanging around the pool and doing sporty stuff. It won't get wind-blown and it'll look stylish. Also looks nice with sunglasses and hoops/danglies since you like those.

I'd have a full-length but simply cut dress in a strong colour if you can find one and some dramatic fake jewellery for the gala evening and get your hair done at the hotel for it. If it's longish, I'd have it down and waved.

Think white and turquoise sounds quite nice. White and white is good too if you're tanned with dark hair. So is white and beige.
