So pleased you had such a good day aubergines! They are lovely in Bloom aren't they? And those Brocard scents are really good value.

Glad you managed to squeeze a bit of culture in as well Wink

mrsreynolds · 10/03/2018 07:48

Feeling low so obsession will be sotd

UnnecessaryFennel · 10/03/2018 08:33

mrsreynolds · 10/03/2018 08:37

Thank you
I'm ok
Must stop reading about brexit and worrying about my kids futures 😔😔

auberginesrus · 10/03/2018 09:25

Hi Blue not sure about proximity to Covent Garden MH as I walked up yo the Seven Dials one as was heading that way. It's round the corner from Diptyque, on a little side street between Floral Street and Long Acre - I followed my phone! A little shop but very well set out . You need to go!

MrsR Flowers

Spoilt for choice re SOTD Smile

LibertyBlue · 10/03/2018 09:30

MrsR I know how you feel- I’m just burying my head in the sand until it all implodes (I think it will). The time will come when we can raise our concern and our voices will be heard. If the vote was re-run tomorrow it’s likely remain would win, due to the number of leave voters who’ve died since June 2016 and remain voters who’ve come of age.

positivepineapple · 10/03/2018 09:35

SOTD Orianne

I'm in the office practically alone on a Saturday. It's bliss!

MrsG It is indeed worrying times ahead. We have an actual rule in our family and extended family that discussions of politics are not allowed at celebrations. Not for the fear of arguments, but the guarantee of spectacularly ruining the mood.

positivepineapple · 10/03/2018 09:37

Apologies should be MrsR!

Haven't had my morning coffee yet Blush

UnnecessaryFennel · 10/03/2018 10:18

Yes we're the same re: politics talk, after a spectacular Brexit-related blow-up on holiday last year Sad. These are worrying times and I try not to think about it too much at the moment [ostrich]

On happier notes, sock your gorgeously-scented parcel arrived this morning, thankyou! I'm currently drenched in the crisp, green goodness of Wrappings but I'm sure I'll swapping for a bit of Who Knew later.

UnnecessaryFennel · 10/03/2018 10:25

I forgot I had bid on a tiny bottle of VC&A First, and apparently I've won it, so that's another nice surprise for a Saturday morning.

SoFancy · 10/03/2018 10:36

Morning fragrant people.

I’ve got a hangover after a ‘quick drink after work’ turned into a whole bottle of prosecco and (ridiculously) some brandy. What was I thinking?!

I got in late and the last of my eBay vintages has turned up - Chloe Narcisse and Amarige - and in my inebriated state I decided to test them both, one on each wrist. Have woken up this morning smelling like I had a fight in a florists shop Grin.

aubergine your day out sounds like BLISS!

SoFancy · 10/03/2018 11:04

SOTD - now I’ve showeted and scrubbed off the Dirty Stopout eBay purchases - is Bvlgari Pour Femme. Lovely, light, powdery violet with a bit of Grojsman peach. Feeling slightly more human now Grin

mrsreynolds · 10/03/2018 11:09

This is my brexit free happy place 😁

MrsGruber · 10/03/2018 12:23

Janet - there is a small package on its way to you.

LibertyBlue · 10/03/2018 12:36

Socks beautifully packaged parcel has arrived- thank you! I’m delighted with AKBTF too as I’ve been wanting to try that due to feedback on this thread.

SOTD is 4160T Who Knew. It’s a really lovely rose fragrance- surprisibg that it’s a green rose as I don’t usually like these (find them too sharp/ sour). But this is softened by some red fruit (strawberry maybe - it’s reminiscent of mother’s nature naughty daughters but nowhere near as sweet). Also getting a hint of something sweeter not sure what yet. This is a big LOVE thank you Smile

Ollivander84 · 10/03/2018 12:52

SOTD Mrs gloss lemon sherbet. Off to ride my horse so didn't want anything strong! Hoping to pop to TK Maxx later

MrsGruber · 10/03/2018 13:16

Blue - you've prompted me too. This is a classic; smokey tea, rose and strawberry opal fruits Smile. They do fruit florals so beautifully. I haven't sniffed this in a while and I'm struck by the family resemblance to Babylon Sunset in the opening.

PerfumeIsAMessage · 10/03/2018 13:19

Sorry about your boss Liberty, and sorry you feel down MrsR.

Console yourselves you might be about to leave Europe but I am.possibly about to get a Prime Minister who is a racist piece of shit who thinks everyone living south of Milan should be put in a yellow armband.

Aubergines, what a fab day. I have always avoided MH in CG because I'm scared of little boutiquey shops but will take dd to Bloom in the summer.

Sotd is PP Spellbound. Oh my life what a monster. Can you smell me from there? I love it (don't know the original but figured I'd probably like an EL powerhouse) but it is so late 80s early 90s. It's basically Poison and Loulou's lovechild. Or grandmother. I don't know the chronology of the 3 but they are all definitely related!

auberginesrus · 10/03/2018 13:42

Fennel your parcel has arrived and it's super exciting, thank you! I'm like a kid in a sweet shop today Grin

UnnecessaryFennel · 10/03/2018 15:58

Oh good, aubergines, hope you enjoy them!

Have had a spritz of Who Knew? This is a really exciting rose, more fruity than I would usually enjoy but rich and intense enough to be very enjoyable. My first thoughts (after reading PIAM's post) was that this is the lovechild of Knowing and Eau My Soul - huge powerhouse rose with a sweeter sandalwood base. It is sweet and I think, to be perfect, it could be a little dirtier, but I really, really like it.

mrsreynolds · 10/03/2018 16:06

Oooh I'd love to try spellbound!

Who knew sounds nice

CountFosco · 10/03/2018 16:35

SotD Sleepknot. It doesn't have much sillage (which is fair enough for a perfume they say to wear to bed) but it has lasted better than some of 4160 citrussy scents on me. Although I did top up at lunchtime. Absolutely love it, it's comfort perfume. Wish my bed always smelt like this!

mrsreynolds · 10/03/2018 16:44

Actually my sister may have worm spellbound now I think about it...
