OK so my order arrived. Keeping 3, returning 3 :)
Keeping:
the colourblock pleated skirt in blues/greens is just gorgeous. Quite generous in size in so far as I am currently closer to a 14. It looks a bit 'hippy' on me (as in my hips) but I am on a weight loss journey so I know it will be fine on me in a few weeks. Length wise it hits mid-calf and I am 5' 6.5". Looks lovely with a navy merino jumper from Uniqlo that I had to hand.
The Kensington shirt dress is also a keeper. Lovely on. I don't often have luck with shirt collars (on shirts or dresses) but this is good. The waist is elasticated but sits well on me as opposed to other Hush dresses where it is either too high or too low). Even when I lose weight it will be a good fit as I am generous up top. I got a 14.
I also like the longline vest and will keep it.
Going back:
Tabitha skirt. The underlay/slip is too short, it stops at the knee. The fit is not good on me (see hips above) and looks more A-line in shape. Pretty design, not as nice as on the site as colour is deeper and slightly more coral than pink.
Grey frill sleeve jersey tee. Too short and boxy. Shoulders too wide and I got a medium (and am quite broad-shouldered). Lovely thick material compared to other Hush Ts but not good enough for the price for me.
Finally, the Washed Love Sweat Top in Medium. I almost cried. So much shorter than in the photos. There is no way that model is 5' 7" and wearing an XS. I am shorter and the fit on me was along the lines of the C'est si Bon or Star biker Sweat. Not much longer at all. Loved the fabric, colour and design. Just not the size. Sleeves much shorter too. I don't know if Hush make their samples to photograph and then go on to mass-produce differently but I have experienced this so many times with their tops. I don't have a particularly long body either.
I am half tempted to get it in Large to see if it makes a difference as I really like it otherwise.
