I know! I'm feeling a bit snobby about it all, but I like the fact that with a Hush you need to make a teeny bit of an effort to get it, and certainly here in the North West, and at home in Scotland, people often ask where thing are from, whereas that never happens with other clothes. Even Boden which is still larger online only, people do recognise. Even though I don't buy the 'fun' prints.

Laska5772 · 16/02/2018 11:16

I have never seen anyone else wearing Hush here ( but we are still stuck in the 1950s they reckon ..IOW) Grin

GinandGingerBeer · 16/02/2018 11:20

Well I’m here in my hush harems. If only I looked like one of the models in them! I like them for slobbing about but they’re not really a look I’d go for to be seen in public.
I doubt v much that hush will come to my local JL, it’s a bit crap, but if it does it’s a 10 minute drive away. That would be catastrophic Grin

neveradullmoment99 · 16/02/2018 11:21

Once I saw at my local Tesco a lady wearing the lightning scarf. It looked lovely so I bought it when it came back in stock. but I sent it back because it was so like my camel love scarf. Laska I recently bought the palm leaf necklace from her on ebay. It was due to come today but I notice it hasn't been even posted yet. Its not like her.

Laska I absolutely love Hultquist. The stuff is beautifully made.

Marking place! Everyone talking about how lush the nana jumper is has me tempted, fortunately (?!) OOS in my size!

HangtheblessedDJ · 16/02/2018 13:10

Hope you don't mind me asking you a question?

I'm contemplating my first Hush purchase. Could I ask what the quality of t-shirts is like?

They are more than I'd normally pay but the ones I normally pay for fall apart, go out f shape and are transparent. How do Hush fare on this?

TheFormidableMrsC · 16/02/2018 13:14

Well my order's just arrived. I expected to adore the yellow "love" sweat but I am really not sure, haven't tried it on yet though. If I had the charcoal Amie's it'd probably go very well with those but I have never been able to get hold of any, and indeed missed an e-bay auction this morning because I forgot about it.

The embroidered star tee is gorgeous. I got the black version. I really don't think it's worth the cost but it is the perfect "going out" top and I can see myself getting a lot of wear out of it. It's similar in shape and fabric to the plain raglan tee, which I also have in black. I've got them on delayed payment so will try them on with other things and see.

pixelchick10 · 16/02/2018 13:45

Hang - I find the t-shirts fine quality - the sizing is large though so suggest going down from your usual size unless it’s a more fitted style (not sure Hush really do fitted 😉)

neveradullmoment99 · 16/02/2018 14:12

The formidable The love sweat goes well with faded back or even black and it looks good with denim. It is a bit of a 'washed out' dirty yellow but I like that. It looks great for those days where you want something comfy and a bit washed and used!

I am going to wear mine with my long line vest in charcoal so it peeps underneath and my black or grey skinny jeans.

I'm sure all you Hushites are already aware of the S18PREVIEW 10% discount code. Smile

Growingboys · 16/02/2018 14:20

Re: Toast, I agree. It's awful and dreary.

Re: the quality of Hush t shirts I'd say it's fine, and better than it used to be, but not top quality, so buy with a discount.

ArieltheMermaid1720 · 16/02/2018 15:01

I'm not a huge fan of their t shirts, love the design but think they're a bit thin and prone to holes (or maybe I'm a crap washer). I've just bought the woven tee from the new collection and metallic skirt from the sale. I really love the star jeans and the Kensington dress but they'll have to wait until next month Grin.

SeekEveryEveryKnownHidingPlace · 16/02/2018 15:20

I always seem to go for the more mundane stuff than you lot, but I am loving my star sleeve raglan. It just feels and looks so comfortable.

Not massively hankering for anything else yet, but I'm sure I will soon ....

neveradullmoment99 · 16/02/2018 15:56

Ariel I love the look of their t-shirts too but a lot of mine have developed little holes. The material is just too thin. I think the shape really suits me especially with the V-neck and the length is ok but the thinness just really puts me off.
I ordered the star t-shirt in yellow with the charcoal stars and am returning it because you can practically see my bra through it. Its probably made worse by my skin tone too.

neveradullmoment99 · 16/02/2018 15:57

However, I ordered the boxy tee with the rainbow stripe [ they do it in another couple of plain colours] and the material is much better. Its a mix of cotton and polyester but it feels way more robust a bit like linen/cotton.

neveradullmoment99 · 16/02/2018 15:59

I have the star raglan and it was gorgeous when I first bought it but feel it has got bigger and it just looks a bit floppy on me now. Wish I had ordered the xs.

OP posts:
SeekEveryEveryKnownHidingPlace · 16/02/2018 16:01

Thanks never for the heads'-up: I'll wash my star raglan with the utmost care! I ordered small although sometimes I go XS with Hush, because I wanted it reasonably loose, but I don't want it too baggy!

HangtheblessedDJ · 16/02/2018 18:16

Thank you for that advice.

neveradullmoment99 · 16/02/2018 18:29

Hand One thing I can say is they never go out of shape. I have had a gorgeous blue on [ kind of a cobalt blue] that is still the same shape as when I bought it. It also hasn't any holes. No idea why. I suppose transparency is a lot to do with colours. I have a charcoal marl, cobalt blue one neither of which has holes. Strange!

TheFormidableMrsC · 16/02/2018 18:59

Never, have fallen in love with the love sweat now, having tried it on. Historically, I have never got on with Hush sweats, they just don't fit me properly. This is exactly the sort of fit I love, just the right sort of loose, however, at a 14, I ordered an XL so it's nice and oversized. It's a keeper. I don't think I am going to keep the embroidered star tee. I will sit on it for a few days. It's lovely, but the fabric is thin and I really don't think it's worth £85.00.

neveradullmoment99 · 16/02/2018 19:21

I love the fit of the sweat too Mrs C. I agree, sometimes the sweatshirts are so boxy or too thick and annoying but this one is lovely and I do love the colour and the raw edge seals the deal.
I think the embroidered star tee looks beautiful. I love it in both colours but how can they justify the price. Even with the 10% off, its pricey. It is stunning though and I think a fair price would have maybe been £65 as it is embroidered. It would have sold out by now if that were the price!
I looked at the material and for that price would expect it to be silk or a silk mix or even linen. I can understand why you might be having second thoughts though. In all fairness though, I could probably see me ordering it if the 10% discount comes back again!

OP posts:
TheFormidableMrsC · 16/02/2018 19:27

never the embroidery on it is a cream colour, the gold bit around the neck looks a bit off actually. It's just "nice" but it's just viscose. I didn't mind paying £35 for the plain version as that is so adaptable to dressing up and down and goes with so many things, this one not so much. I've got a party next weekend where I was going to wear my wide leg trousers from Hush and this looks lovely with it, but am struggling to think when I'll next wear it realistically. I don't go out all that much! The pale blue is probably better in that it will look fab with jeans and will pass day to night. I will think about it. It really is a lot for what it is though. Back to the love sweat. I agree with you totally about Hush sweats. They are just not cut how a sweatshirt should be and this one is so different and perfect. I shall review it accordingly! I've just seen a lovely pair of charcoal jersey peg trousers on ASOS. I've got a voucher from Xmas so might buy them as the charcoal Amie's are proving illusive! Very similar shape, but no ankle zip. Will try them and see.
