The sweatshirt looks great with my Amie joggers in black so it sounds like the asos ones will look great with it if they are roughly the same shape Smile.

never I will try it with my black ones...I am sure it will look fine, it will probably also look good with my khaki ones now I think of it. I do hope they bring out other versions, especially with a Stella star on the front!

miffy2 · 16/02/2018 20:57

My order should arrive tomorrow :)

I ordered the yellow LOVE sweatshirt, two maxi skirts (the pink flowery one and the blue/green pleated), a longline vest to try as I could really do with one, and the kensington shirt dress. All good transition items I hope...in fact could be suitable from now till winter given the changeable weather.

I am lucky in a way, living in Ireland, that very few people seem to know of Hush (other than a few online acquaintances from other forums...fora??). I have never seen anyone wearing anything from there, and I hope that doesn't change any time soon! It is nice to have things that are a bit different form the high street.

ArieltheMermaid1720 · 16/02/2018 21:15

Oh miffy, please let me know what you think of the Kensington shirt dress as its on my list!

ilovecherries · 16/02/2018 21:21

I fell in love with that pleated skirt Miffy, I just don't feel I've the confidence to wear it. I think it's beautiful.

TheFormidableMrsC · 16/02/2018 22:57

miffy Actual basics like a longline vest I wouldn't buy from Hush, even though I am a dedicated fan. You can get a really decent thick longline vest from Primark (or Penneys for you I think?), in a good cotton/lycra mix for about 4 quid. I've got them in all colours for layering (black, white, khaki, grey, nude pink). I am just suggesting as Hush vests are a lot for what they are and it'll save you a few quid!

neveradullmoment99 · 16/02/2018 23:13

I also have 2 out of Matalan at £4 but they aren't as long. No idea about the Primark ones. Although I do agree that they are expensive, the longline tees are really excellent and are super long in comparison to the ones that I got cheap out of Matalan. They are also really thick and comfy. I do agree, if you aren't bothered about having them really long then I think they are good value. I have a grey, charcoal and pale grey one from hush. They are good for me because I find a lot of hush jumpers and tees a little to short so I layer them underneath and the colours are fantastic with my wardrobe. I bought them gradually. I do agree on not spending a lot on basics but if I am honest if I were to go to the vests I like the best they would be the hush ones.

I have found my Primarni ones come to mid-thigh so have been OK. I might try a Hush one and see what they're like!

I have decided to return the embroidered top, I just don't love it enough to justify that sort of expenditure and the plain raglan version hangs better and is more versatile so shall stick with that I think. I have also noticed that the short sleeved sweat is back in stock in black! I missed out last year, so have ordered that with the discount code instead Smile

neveradullmoment99 · 17/02/2018 12:54

Is there a discount code for sale items? I have the black short sleeved sweat. Its great and versatile. You can wear a long sleeved top under it if its cold.

OP posts:
neveradullmoment99 · 17/02/2018 12:54

I thought the discount code wasn't working for sale items?

OP posts:
neveradullmoment99 · 17/02/2018 12:55

Oh its not a sale item!!!!

OP posts:
Laska5772 · 17/02/2018 12:56

the code did work for a sale item when I tried it never I just forgot to use it first time

ArieltheMermaid1720 · 17/02/2018 13:29

The code didn't work for me on a sale item yesterday.

neveradullmoment99 · 17/02/2018 17:12

I tried the code on the sale item to try and it didn't work.

No order yet :( Darn Parcel Motel. Will possibly arrive to my depot overnight (hopefully).

I have a drawer full of Penneys/H&M/Dunnes vests and they are fine for everyday chucking on under tops but I have a few nice jumpers that I would like to layer over something longer in length. The cheaper ones need replacing quite often too, IME.
As I will more than likely be returning something from this order I decided to at least try the longline vest and send it back if needs be.

Laska5772 · 17/02/2018 19:05

I mist have got through a glitch then with my code. Unfortunately the thing i got on discount (2nd cest le vie) is going back..

flightchecker · 17/02/2018 19:44

Had a lovely browse in Bristol John Lewis yesterday. Liked the silk tee with stars on. Not so struck on the pastels in this range though.

I've shopped at hush for years and years. I find their stuff wears and washes so well I still have a cardigown from about a decade ago Grin

TheFormidableMrsC · 17/02/2018 19:50

flightchecker, I ordered that tee, I am sure we're talking about the same one (gold embroidery round neck?). It's not silk, it's viscose so going back as so not worth £85.00 I don't think.

noodlezoodle · 18/02/2018 01:47

Miffy is the Tabitha maxi skirt the flowery skirt you ordered? If so I'd love to hear what you think of it. I'm so tempted to order it but I'm in the US so delivery and returns are really expensive if it doesn't fit right or looks very different in person.

HerRoyalNotness · 18/02/2018 02:39

Older bush tshirts wear really well but my last one bough in the past year developed holes all over it. I wore it still, until it was ridiculously holey. Very disappointing

HerRoyalNotness · 18/02/2018 02:39

Ahem, hush

miffy2 · 18/02/2018 11:07

noodle yes that's the one. I am getting impatient as my order has been with my forwarding service since Friday and it has not arrived yet, will probably be tomorrow morning now :( I will let you know how it is when I get it. For reference I have two marina skirts, one in 12 and one in 14 and I have ordered size 12 in Tabitha. I am not sure if this one has an elasticated or zipped waist.

flightchecker · 18/02/2018 18:26

Theformidable - the one I meant was the leith one which is silk and bizarrely, £20 cheaper. I liked the other one but £85 for viscose is crazy.

noodlezoodle · 18/02/2018 18:33

Thanks Miffy, looking forward to hearing what you think of it. So annoying when a parcel you really want is delayed!

TheFormidableMrsC · 18/02/2018 18:46

Ooh flightchecker, I haven't spotted that, will go and have a look. Yes, way too much for the viscose one...I can't justify that at all.
