Wow, that has taken me ages to read. Is everyone spring cleaning their perfume cupboards and buying new storage boxes?
Thanks Calm, great research
This is from the Royal Mail website:
Perfumes and Aftershaves
(including eau de parfum and eau de toilette)
Packaging guidelines: Volume per item must not exceed 150ml. No more than four items in any one parcel.
Must be sent in its original retail packaging, placed in strong outer packaging and cushioned to prevent breakage. Must be presented at the counter. Sender’s name and address must be visible on the parcel.
So, you can’t just put it in a postbox and you can’t just get a supply of the special perfume “Y” labels to put on (I’ve asked!). You have to go to the post office counter so they can complete the form (just a tick box) and put the label in. But you don’t pay anything extra for the perfume label, just for the normal post (it will need to be large letter rate if it is over .5mm depth). The counter staff may ask how many bottles there are, how many mls and if it is the original packaging.
SotD was MJ Daisy Eau so Fresh, rather disappointing. There was evidently a reason it was at the back of the cupboard. So far this week I have been wearing light fruity florals (i'm trying to persuade my nose that it is not streaming like a toddlers). Miserable fail
SotE is JSP's Smolderose. Big and jammy rose poured over smoke, saffron, incense, patch and oud, complete with a sprinkling of salt and citrus. It has a sillage comparable to London Zoo's elephant house. I may be made to scrub before bed
.
I'm going to have to get some Tauer Lonestar Memories. Judy, Piam and Kittens are making me jealous. I've also forgotten why I was boycotting him
something about not shipping samples to uk.
Terriers, gosh you managed to fall down the rabbit hole fast.
Have fun sniffing.
MrsG I haven't smelt MJ Grass Splash, he has made so many. Wonder if they will do some more re-releases this year. Still waiting foe Pink Grapefruit to come back.
