Number 81! The days are getting longer, and we're looking forward to shedding a few layers for Spring, while remaining stylish of course. If you love talking fashion and new buys, come on in, all welcome! Gin Wine Brew

blair you have my sympathies. Having had spd withnall 3 dc, I know how horrible it is. I also lived in my elastic belt and tubigrip! If you can afford it I found oestepoathy really helped.
mara after Easter sounds fab. Sorry, haven’t yet responded to your pm.

I ordered a dress the other day. It’s arrived, I love it, it looks good. But, it’s a gold zip at the back. For those of you that know me, I have a weird thing about zips but I can kind of tolerate them at the back as I can’t see them. But I hate gold. But the dress is perfect in every other way. What to do...?

libertyonhertravels · 16/02/2018 03:52

QueenC keep the dress if it's perfect otherwise. I don't think a gold zip at the back will ruin a look if you have silver jewellery, silver hardware on a bag etc. I love the APC blouse you linked for me.

Marsha you're welcome! Glad you like them. And great that you are having fun with planning DD's holiday wardrobe. So many gorgeous clothes for little girls - enjoy!

Blair great to hear to have got some good advice. The elastic belt things are a godsend. On the plus side with SPD at least once pregnancy is over it ends.

Mara and Blingy sking sounds great.

Wish I could be there for a mini MU on St Patrick's day Sad

libertyonhertravels · 16/02/2018 04:06

Dry great Cos top and I love those Dune star trainers. Stop holiday shopping - crazy woman! When do you go away?

On the good news front I have an interview for the great job in the outside Auckland location - have 2 weeks to prepare for it. The Auckland job was withdrawn Confused but I had an informal chat about another good sounding job in Auckland yesterday that I will go for too. Whole process is so slow and I'm feeling a bit fed up as now that DD is in school the extended holiday feeling is fading. And it's very humid here at the moment (95% - 98%) and humidity makes me a seriously grumpy bitch. And (apols for TMI moment) but my tits are disgustingly sweaty - there are sweat marks on my bra Shock.

Longislandicetee · 16/02/2018 10:50

Lib, that all sounds really positive, will be sending you lots of good luck vibes!ThanksThe humidity sounds awful though, poor you.

Dry, can't believe you're shopping for your summer holidays already!Shock Our next holiday is May half term and then we have a week in August. No where thinking about them yet, other than it will be the first time since my operation that I will have had a beach holiday and I really need to shift the remainder surgery pounds!

Marsha, that's one of the best bits of having a dd! Mine is 9 and I still buy way too many clothes for her! Ask Shop who got an intro to dd's wardrobe when she came over (from dd herself as i was frantically shaking my head at her!) Grin Usually for her birthday, I get a huge box and fill it with stuff that she's been hankering after. Her tastes our still modest - M&S, H&M and Primark, but she's a total fashionista so i dare not get her anything that she hasn't wistfully looked at in recent months in case it sinks the bottom of the tardis wardrobe never to be seen again. I occasionally feel guilty that she has about 10 times as many clothes as ds.Blush

It was raining this morning so dh and i went for a walk around the villages and looking at the shops. I can't think of a single major fashion house that doesn't appear to have a shop here and it's not that big! Going for my last ski lesson this afternoon, and dh is going to pick up the dcs from their ski school so that we can all ski together with my instructor. Can't believe how quickly the last week has gone!

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 16/02/2018 11:25

Blingy and Mara your skiing trips sound fab, I bet you are both looking extremely glamorous!

Great news on the interview Lib, am sure you'll smash it. Will be thinking of you and cross fingers :) Hope you find some relief from the humidity, I'd be suffering too.

Thanks QueenC, I will look into osteopathy if things get worse. Luckily it has improved since the beginning of the week. I already love my belt!

Re MU, I am pretty flexible in April, though I'm hoping to get away for our only holiday this year . I keep being invited to events in July! Shock

Hello, long time no post Blush first things first super congratulations to Blair hope you're not too uncomfortable.

QueenC so lovely to see you back on here, your links have truly been missed, loved the red Whistles dress you linked for me and am contemplating.

Blingy and Mara love hearing about your skiing holidays. Been watching the Winter Olympics with dc and am thinking of a ski holiday next year.

Lib you made me laugh with your humidity description Grin

Marsha I bet dd is going to have a great wardrobe.

Talking of holidays I'm loving all the holiday talk and have 2 planned for this year. A summer one and and an autumn one. Can't wait - it's what's getting me through this cold weather.

Not many purchases to report on, linked some grey books for Dry ages and have ended up buying them myself, wasn't even looking for get boots Hmm

they look grey with rolled up jeans, makes a change from wearing trainers

Ordered this JCrew shirt jacket, already have something similar from TS but the colours are more vibrant on this one

also have these on order, camo is my new leopard!

Dreamqueen · 16/02/2018 18:52

Glad that you're feeling more comfortable now Blair.

If the Mu is in April, I'm up for that.

I've been fighting off the lurgy all week. Now frantically running around trying to pack for hol and celebrate Chinese New Year all at the same time.

Good luck with the job hunt Lib and happy St patricks day for tomorrow.

kittyhello · 16/02/2018 19:15

Have a great holiday Dream and hope your large disappears fast. Fwiw I've fallen off the diet wagon, have re-joined WW but my heart's not in it, I can't seem to get back into The Zone. Enjoy and be happy I say Smile

Dreamqueen · 16/02/2018 19:28

Kitty thank you. I can say snap in the diet wagon. I'm reading a book that says not to diet but being sensible. failing that when i come home I'm going back on Dukan. I lost nearly 2 stone pre my sons wedding on it.
Even when ill, unfortunately I never lose my appetite. In fact when i was a child my nan always fed us more when we were sick & I think that has stayed with me.

shopafrolic · 16/02/2018 20:13

Kitty I love those camo trousers
My new tee here Spotted on @artfashionlife on Insta (can’t recall her MN name sorry).
I need to have a holiday to aim for - you’re all making me jealous.
We have bought an Amazon Echo dot - so much fun playing with Alexa on sonos. Will be loads of fun for parties and DS loves her. She may become his new best friend Grin

DryWhiteagainW · 16/02/2018 20:14

Skiing sounds fab everyone.....haven’t been for years, loved the fresh mountain air.

Don’t worry.....I haven’t bought any summer stuff (holiday is in August) and I really don’t need anything, it’s v low key.

Am feeling fed up as I have tendonitis in my right elbow. Been ignoring it for weeks and it’s got bad. How do you rest your arm? I’ve stopped weights at the gym but carrying shopping bags from supermarket, hoovering etc.....how does that work?

shopafrolic · 16/02/2018 20:14

Oh and April MU works better for me as DS is away for a lot of March.

shopafrolic · 16/02/2018 20:46

Dry is it your gin drinking arm?

DryWhiteagainW · 16/02/2018 20:58

Yes Shop Sad even pouring hurts Sad ....... Grin

libertyonhertravels · 16/02/2018 21:09

You are a month early on the St Patrick's Day wishes Dream Grin

I like the camo look for you Kitty.

On diets I am reading 'Accidentally overweight' by Libby Weaver which I am enjoying - all about taking a balanced approach and working out what's right for your body. Haven't started implementing much of it yet but after reading her hormones chapter I have decided to go decaff.

libertyonhertravels · 16/02/2018 21:12

Dry I ignored tendonitis in my thumb and one day it just froze completely and I ended up with steroid injections and a splint and time off work - go see your GP, you might need an injection. And to rest well you just have to not hoover and make DH pour your gin and give you a straw just not a plastic one

libertyonhertravels · 16/02/2018 21:14

Love the T shop Smile

MarshaBradyo · 16/02/2018 21:18

I need to catch up but am laughing at is it your gin drinking arm 😬

MarshaBradyo · 16/02/2018 21:19

Wrong emoticon looks weird this one Grin

MarshaBradyo · 16/02/2018 21:41

And Dry hope it gets better!

kittyhello · 16/02/2018 22:00

Ouch Dry that sounds painful. Can you get your groceries delivered to save your arm?

Great tee Shop loving your silver boots btw. M&S has some great gems st times. Bought 2 pairs of sunnies there today. Loving my Sparks discount Wink

DryWhiteagainW · 16/02/2018 22:06

Steroid injections Liberty !!! Sad I’m a wimp (remember the wisdom extraction 2013?)

Stokey · 16/02/2018 22:53

I've done a lot of Easter holiday research Marsha - to get real warmth you need to go longhaul - sub-continent, Caribbean or of course Middle East. Canaries, Marrakesh, Turkey, Greece all average 22, not warm enough for swimming IMO. Dream has the right plan with India. After much toing & froing, we're going for a city break to Portugal & saving sun for later.

Late April is better for me for MU.

In fashion news, I found the perfect denim skirt. On phone, so tricky to look but will try in a new post.

Stokey · 16/02/2018 22:56

denim midi

Dreamqueen · 17/02/2018 06:36

That's a perfect skirt for you Stokey

OMG Dry poor you. I couldn't function without my gin arm.

Lib Don't know how I got my months confused.

Great T shirt Shop I'd like one but think I'd get too much mickey taking if I wore it Smile
