Number 81! The days are getting longer, and we're looking forward to shedding a few layers for Spring, while remaining stylish of course. If you love talking fashion and new buys, come on in, all welcome! Gin Wine Brew

I went with targeted ads in FB. It says that either way you’ll see ads so i’d prefer them to be relevant.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 27/04/2018 13:57

Marsha makes sense re Liberty. Are you going to have a chance to get there at all soon? I imagine they might have things not on the website.

It's not great news on the car but not the worst, there was one thing that it could have been which would cost about £6k to fix, but it's not that but it is the clutch so still pretty bad. And they can't do it for 2 weeks! But I'm feeling better about it thanks :)

Just went to jojo maman bebe to buy a bra and bought these, they are so adorable!

I am going to the races tomorrow, just locally. Hoping I will be able to sit down as much as I need to! I expect I'll wear my blue Seraphine dress and some comfy flat shoes.

That's good news about the car Blair not so good about the 2 week wait for it. Those dungarees are so cute. Enjoy the races, hope the weather is better than today for it.

DryWhiteagainW · 27/04/2018 22:16

I hate the ads on FB, really annoying. Have tried to remove.....is there any way you can do that?

libertyonhertravels · 28/04/2018 12:52

Dry you can limit ads by clicking on the 3 little dots in the top right hand corner and clicking 'hide this type of content" - needs a bit of persistence but I do it all the time with anything I don't want to see and I now mostly just get ads about things I am actually interested in such as events etc.

Glad to hear the car isn't as bad as you feared Blair.

I went shopping in Witchery today - an Aussie high street chain - reminds me a bit of Jigsaw / Whistles. I stuck to the sales rail and bought this slouchy fine knit sweater in navy, this sweater with a zip and a balloon sleeve top which is the loveliest coral red shade.

Hope you all have lovely Saturdays! Bedtime for me Smile

MarshaBradyo · 28/04/2018 12:54

I don’t think it’s possible Dry

Cool Shop I’m going to too

Blair that’s the tricky bit not sure I can make it in, black taxis are ok but a bit indulgent! Actually I need to go in to Marylebone in next few weeks so could go then. Oh except I want to use the 20% off this weekend hmm.

I’m glad the car wasn’t the worst case and those are very cute. I’m enjoying buying baby clothes way too much.

MarshaBradyo · 28/04/2018 12:54

Xpost listen to Lib

DryWhiteagainW · 28/04/2018 16:39

Thanks Liberty I’ll do that. Lovely knits too.

Longislandicetee · 28/04/2018 17:06

Oh those are lovely things lib!

Sorry for being missing Voguette everyone! Blair, i am very glad the car wasn't worse case scenario. Make sure you don't sit for too long. 30 minutes maximum and then you need to stand up for a few.

I have got a couple of hours to myself this afternoon as the dcs at parties and dh is out. I have been looking at knit dresses and skirts....

Currently lusting after this Alexander McQeen knit dress but it's very similar to another McQueen dress that I bought last year. I also love this McQueen skirt though there is a risk that because i am so short that it could hang too low. What does everyone think?

Love this red Maje knitted skirt.

I love this warehouse dress but it's all sold out and this Red Valentino one is sold out in a Small.

Michael Kors is normally one of my go to labels but i think this dress is a bit too risqué or maybe a bit in your face.

Love this Sandro ribbed panel knitted dress but i don't think it would suit me and this Sandro one would drown me as I think it's for tall/normal sized people.

There's 2 more i looked at, but i might buy those first before i linkGrin

DryWhiteagainW · 28/04/2018 20:47

Ooh nice Blingy especially the red Maje, you’d look fab in that.

Longislandicetee · 28/04/2018 20:57

Yeah i really like that skirt Dry, i think it would look great with a crisp white shirt!

Dh has been away for the last week, arrived lustily promising me all sorts tonight. He's fast asleep in the armchairGrin So i am entertaining myself doing more surfing.Grin

Longislandicetee · 28/04/2018 21:05

Would absolutely love to be able to get this Stella McCartney lace and sequin bra

Weep. SadThe Outnet has these Valentino Love latch heels in my size at 40% off. Of course that would never have happened when i could wear heels that high. Forget weeping, I might start wailing!

Everyonelovessparkles · 28/04/2018 21:10

Hope you enjoyed the races blair, at least it wasn’t too wet today. Great outfit! I found that dress really easy to dress up and down. Sorry to hear about the car situation. At least it may not to be as bad as you had feared.

great links blingy. The red Valentino one is lovely. Agree that the Sandro one looks like it’s for tall people as that’s quite a hard length to pull off.

marsha have you looked at the designer saloni for a dress for the wedding, as there are a couple of designs that might look good on you.

shop have you had any more ideas about your Majorca outfits? What kind of thing of summer / holiday styles do you like?

DryWhiteagainW · 28/04/2018 22:20

Two fab links Blingy . Those shoes are amazing

Longislandicetee · 28/04/2018 22:35

Never heard of Saloni before Everyone, that green dress with the deep v looks lovely.

Okay, so my final choices were these 3 dresses and 1 skirt. The geometric skit is Karen Millen and the other patterned dress is Maje. I have pasted below, hope this works!

Longislandicetee · 28/04/2018 22:41

Aargh that didn't work! Okay, so i bought:

Maje patterned knit dress

Karen Millen geometric knit dress

Maje knitted skirt

Alexander McQueen knit dress

I errrmed and ahhhd about the McQueen skirt as I thought about the bank account and finally decided to take it out of the basket. Now hoping i don't regret it!!

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 28/04/2018 22:42

anyone have ideas for inexpensive cotton tops, preferably with some sort of sleeve? i don't want to spend a lot because im going to be covered in sun screen and it always ends up everywhere so think inexpensive is best. generally to go with mid length circle skirts so nothing too baggy, semi fitted at least. i can use cover ups if sleeves aren't a possibility though. only 3 weeks til we fly!!!

Everyonelovessparkles · 29/04/2018 08:41

Nice buys blingy. The Alexander McQueen dress was pretty. Love the red shoes. I saw there was a pair of nude love latch with a smaller heel the other day as well.

Do you want a t’shirt one or more of a ‘top’? I’ve seen H&M t’shirts recommended on a few blogs for being cheap but reasonable quality? Or boden? Or hush? You can usually get a discount code for Boden to make it a more reasonable price.

DryWhiteagainW · 29/04/2018 10:13

I’ve found a new blog thought this post was very good. Can’t underestimate the value of a great hair cut, and hers is fab.

DryWhiteagainW · 29/04/2018 10:18

Do you have a style adage?

I love Coco Ch’s one about wearing the dress, not the dress wearing you. She had loads of brilliant ones.

Kate Moss “nothing tastes as good as thin feels”

Mine “if you wear nice clothes, do your hair and make up people will not notice the big arse”

Thought for the day Smile

DryWhiteagainW · 29/04/2018 10:19

Love this one from CC “a woman who wears no perfume has no future”!

Longislandicetee · 29/04/2018 13:16

Dry I am sure I do, I will have to think about it!

I have read that blog before, she has good advice.

One I would start with either H&M or Primark. I always think you can't go wrong in Primark for cheap cotton tees.

Trying to imagine paying £930 for this tutu skirt. Nope. Can't see it!

Waiting for my shepherds pie to come out of the oven. It's a quiet one at home today. What's everyone up to on this miserable day?

DryWhiteagainW · 29/04/2018 13:41

Blingy yours is obviously “you can never have too many diamonds!”

Ironing (a great excuse to watch telly) then roast ....quiet day chez Dry

DryWhiteagainW · 29/04/2018 13:45

And another of mine, “never underestimate the value of a beautiful shoe “

Have just picked these shoes up...Midlifechic made me do it! Cheap and cheerful but actually really lovely and fun.....I love green........they will hurt though Sad

DryWhiteagainW · 29/04/2018 13:48

Ootd.....my pointy embroidered mules, Gap girlfriend dark wash cropped jean (have fallen back in love with them) pale grey swing fine knit with 3/4 sleeves
