I’m looking for a straw beach bag. I’d like a long handle so I can wear it over my shoulder. Needs to be big enough to carry round all the DCs crap. I’ve had my eye on one of these for ages personalised basket but it just seems a lot of money, though I know if I get a cheaper one I’m still going to lust after one of these, so might as well just go for it.

I think I posted this dress before, but I still tempted by it. I’ve noticed a lot of my summer dresses are starting to look a bit old and have deodorant marks under the arms (does any one else get this? I’ve tried different deodorants and still seem to get it?) so could probably justify this (with a discount code ).

Ladies i’m going to need your help. I’m off on a girly 40th birthday weekend to Majorca in july. I need 3 evening outfits for cocktails, meals and clubs. I am rubbish with evening wear at the best of times - my default is skinnies, heels and a blazer which clearly won’t work.
I was thinking my white Comptoir dress for one of the nights but if any of you see anything around that might work then please shout.

I have been home for a week now after a wonderful mini holiday with DH.

He went nuts in London and bought so much stuff for himself on Jermyn Street but I didn’t buy anything apart from the IM étoile dress I have already worn twice and which I love.

I did buy some more things in Paris as I went to the Hermès mothership on Rue Faubourg Saint-Honoré and couldn’t resist a pair of Oran sandals.

I have been eyeing them for years as they are a classic but never found a colour I liked until I saw the dark blue ones in store.

I also bought a belt for myself and a woven leather bracelet for DH.

We had quite a bit to show to the VAT people at customs at the airport

shop I bought some Soludos espadrilles last summer and I wore them constantly. I need to dig them out again!

I might sound nuts Shop but how about a really nice pair of black shorts with a lovely silk vest/halter neck and metallic sandals(Gigi’s ?) and fab accessories for one night? If I had your legs I’d get them out and it’s a look that I saw looking fab last year on holiday.

Yves I love Soludos but refuse to pay full price. Espadrilles always remind me of family camping holidays in the Loire Valley as a teen.
Fedup I was at the hygienist this morning so I feel your pain. I got a proper telling off as with everything going on with DF I haven’t been taking care of my gun issues

I went to Space NK with a friend today to help her with skincare. She bought some Tata Harper cleansing oil and a toner from a new range called Herbivore. It is jasmine and green tea and smelt so amazing I had to buy some too!

All fine at the dentist thank goodness. We had a chat about teeth whitening - anyone had it done?

I agree with dry and fedup, shop, that a nice pair of shorts and dressy top can look smart but not overly dressy. Do you know what kind of places you will be going too? Is Majorca as laid back as Ibiza? I’m very jealous, the girly weekend sounds fab. Did you ever get the trash mcevoy (?) lightening crayon from the video that you linke a while ago? Just wondering if it was any good?

fedup I got some new ballet flats from Clark’s the other day too! The nude ones are my staple ‘none sandal’ summer shoe.

Just over a month to my holiday now. Woo hoo! Still carrying more weight than I would like, so really got to step it up over the next few weeks....

I'm going to Puerto Portals which is 7km from Palma. The hotel info says it is "a meeting point for the international jet set". With famous bars, restaurants and lifestyle boutiques. I should fit right in

Hotel sounds fab! Maybe it is a it more dressy than Ibiza (which I always imagine sounds quite boho, laid back etc). I still think the shorts idea might work for one night.

Feeling sick with worry right now. My car went in for a big service last night and then DH's car broke down while he was taking me to work this am. Depending on what's wrong, there's a chance it could wipe out all our savings, which means I'm not sure how we will afford to live while I'm on SMP. (I'm probably being a drama queen, but I'm generally worrying about money atm because I won't be getting any enhanced pay and it's shit) Please send good vibes :/
