Everyone lovely links, really drawn to the colourful dress

Just got a big delivery of F&B paint and baby clothes, need to get back on style. Have been going through Matches dresses but so many Molly Goddard type designs, very big, lots of material and girly - not me really

Everyonelovessparkles · 11/04/2018 19:36

Sorry to hear that marsha (DD not the dresses) hopefully things will become clearer soon. Yes there does seem to be a lot of full dresses and midi / maxi ones around too, which don’t Suit me either. I tried this dress on in gap the other day, midi dress as I had seen it on the website and thought it looked pretty. But oh my god, it was total frumpsville on me. If I was a couple of inches taller or the dress was a couple of inches shorter it would have made all the difference. Also, what has happended to gap? I must get a discount code every day, which suggests all isn’t well, but the store was a total tip. It was worse than a jumble sale. I couldn’t wait to get out.

justa meant to say earlier that I like both bags. The burgundy feels more wintery to me than the brown, but both looked nice. Sorry!

QueenCornflower · 12/04/2018 14:43

Hi all, busy Easter hols so been awol from here.
bleir I had osteopathy and acupuncture. Both helped although only for a couple of days. It’s agony and I feel for you.
justw did you decide? I think I prefer the textured one.
yves glad you had fun in London. Thought of you as I think I went to your recent hometown airport (although could be completely wrong!!).

What has happened to spring???

QueenCornflower · 12/04/2018 14:46

Oh and a blatant plug for my friends new blog. She’s super stylish so I look forward to her links. Also she doesn’t use affiliate links or do gifts/ads etc. She’s also on instagram

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 12/04/2018 15:17

Ordered the same pair of converse again but in black. they are SO comfortable even with the inch high platform on them. They are also (both pairs) suede so a good in between shoe for when its too wet for canvas shoes but too warm for boots. Really pleased with them, have been wearing them non stop since they arrived. Can't say i don't also like the little height boost they give me as well Grin

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 12/04/2018 16:26

Thank you all for the recommendations. justa I will be getting some silky PJ shorts, omg turning over is difficult enough at the moment even before the pelvic pain! My core muscles have gone completely AWOL.

I tried to get a physio appt on the NHS but the next one was 6 weeks away. Instead i've booked a private one down the road from my house for Saturday. Hmm It is really bad right now so I'm going to just throw money at the problem. As well as the mattress topper I have bought a gym ball and a massive wheat bag for my back, which completely seizes up by the end of each day. I also need to get some comfy slip on shoes, I was thinking birkenstocks (and in a moment of madness even considered skechers go walks - help!)

Marsha hope you can get the MRI done soon Flowers

justa I prefer the plain bag rather than the croc one (can't remember which colour is which!)

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 12/04/2018 16:44

just thinking, could you get a full size body pillow blair or would there not be enough space in bed? I have one (though not for pregnancy pain!) and I do find it does give some extra support that just a pillow between the knees doesn't give. Might be a daft suggestion but might be worth a punt. Hope the physio can help, hip pain is absolutely horrible, as is back pain Thanks

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 12/04/2018 16:45

and marsha i hope you get the MRI asap and get a better picture of whats going on. Thanks

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 12/04/2018 16:51

Yes! Forgot to say One, a full body length double sided pillow is also on my shopping list Grin It has to be better than struggling to move a pillow from one side to the other when turning over.

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 12/04/2018 17:03

good plan blair i definitely find it helps me with the hip pain i get and is definitely more comfortable than wrestling with single pillows. Smile

QueenCornflower · 12/04/2018 20:15

Oh yes, one you’ve reminded me that I had some massive body pillow too. I think h had to move to the spare room as there was no room for him!!
The other thing I loved was swimming (no breaststroke!). I often wouldn’t swim but would either walk or literally just wallow in the baby pool. If I did swim if was with a noodle thing and v gentle. With dc 3 I had hydrotherapy too which was lush as it was such a warm pool

justasecond · 12/04/2018 21:27

Sounds like you are really suffering Blair. Not much use to you now but because I suffered so much with dd2 I started seeing an osteopath as soon as I found out I was expecting dc3. It helped so much and although I did have some pain it was nowhere near as bad. Just thought I'd mention it so you can keep it in mind for next time Grin

Hope all will be ok and easily solvable Marsha

I am still undecided on the bags. They have been side by side on top of the boxes in my bedroom for a week now. The rubbish weather is making me feel really uninspired and haven't had the energy to make a decision. Maybe its a sign I should just return them!

Marsha its these 2
burgundy
mock croc

DryWhiteagainW · 12/04/2018 22:08

Justa lovely bags. I’m a sucker for mock croc...I’d go for no2.

Hello all.
Blair so sorry you’re suffering. Remind me how long you have to go?

I’m sick of winter clothes. Desperate to get my feet/ankles out. I’m in a huge rut. Denim jeans and top/black jeans and top

DryWhiteagainW · 12/04/2018 22:12

But...after reading a bit of the Parisian thread I’ve been wearing red lipstick for daytime a bit more. Currently have red nails too....feel polished. The other day I picked dd up wearing red lips, sunnies, red Gucci ish loafers, jeans, camel coat, navy and white Breton......her friends loved the lips, then the shoes....DD said I looked like a model Shock ......she’s blind! Grin

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 13/04/2018 11:54

Dry that's such a lovely thing for your DD to say! Bet it was true, the outfit sounds fabulous Grin

I'm 24 weeks today. I don't want to moan every time I come on the thread so I will shut up about it a bit now. Hopefully tomorrow's physio will help. Also I'm getting some maternity leggings delivered today which I'm a bit too excited about (not usually a leggings wearer!)

I forgot to say Yves your time in London sounded fantastic, enjoy the next leg of your trip!

Hello!

Dry your look sounds great and what a lovely thing to say, especially from a teen!

Justa still can’t open your first link but I know the burgundy Staud bag, a friend has it. IMHO much prefer it to the mock croc.

Marsha sending love & support for dd issues, glad you’re getting seen quickly though, hopefully you will have clarity on treatment plan and timeframe soon.

I got Matches code too, have my eye on a few things but only allowing myself one, will link once have decided.

kitty love the gold sandals, much prefer the M&S to Sezane ones actually.

One glad you got the black converse too, they sound fab.

QueenC welcome back from hols, scenery pics looked amazing.

Blair all sounds very painful but physio should definitely help.

Everyone see what you mean about gap dress and agree about the stores being a jumble sale. Think their gym wear is good but can’t be bothered to go in and sift through things.

Yves glad you enjoyed London. Yoshino is great, have only been once but dh uses it loads for work entertaining. Am also a fan of Isabel bathrooms, so luxe, de gournay wallpaper and massacar wood work so well together.

QueenCornflower · 14/04/2018 13:13

We need to work harder on the thread-we’d slipped to page 3 Shock

Spring is finally here today. I was ready to wear my new pink trainers and then realised I’ve ran out of protective Spray! I do however have my ankles and wrists out although haven’t yet taken off my vest Grin

MarshaBradyo · 14/04/2018 13:23

It’s so lovely here I’m eyeing up the new roses and blossom willing them to flower

Thanks so much for kind words. She’s wearing bloomers for the first time today, love bloomers so cute. I thought I’d do sleep suits in the day until 6 months but 3 is long enough so I’ve plundered French cuteness online

Justa burgundy for me

Mara and Yves I love the sound of Yoshino and the de Gournay wallpaper must go one day

I thought I might like de Gournay wall paper but not sure it’s worth it here, the sales people were kind of Ab Fab gallery-ish, it was funny

MarshaBradyo · 14/04/2018 13:24

Blair feel free to talk about it whenever you like, not moaning at all, I hope physio helps

QueenCornflower · 15/04/2018 09:20

I bet she looked really cute marsha.

I had a couple of hours in town yesterday whilst dd was at a party. I came home feeling really deflated after trying loads on but everything looking awful. As I’m getting older I’m finding it harder to get clothes. The things that once looked ‘cute’ such as things from fat face/white stuff now just look frumpy and make me look older than my years and a lot of ‘young’ stuff from places such as warehouse/oasis just look wrong too. I find I need more expensive fabrics and tailoring as I’ve got older too. I’ve never been a fabric snob but polyester just tends yo look cheap on me now. I think I’ve just generally lost a lot of my confidence about my looks in the past few months which isn’t helping either and I’ve piled on a few pounds from comfort eating which I’m trying to take back control and lose.

QueenCornflower · 15/04/2018 09:21

Sorry, that was a really self pitying post!

I’ll see if I can cheer myself up with Sunday morning links....

QueenCornflower · 15/04/2018 09:25

WE all need this tee for our next mu!

QueenCornflower · 15/04/2018 09:28
