Sorry to hear that Marsha Big hugs for you and prayers that all will be ok with your dd xx

Blingy your poor dd.I would be really angry too. Hope it all gets resolved swiftly.

shop great link re dark circles. I love the Maybelline Eraser eye atm. I actually prefer it to the ££ By Terry one I usually use.

I missed the last lot of snow so haven't minded it too much this time, especially as I got to wear my Rupert Sanderson boots again

these may be my new favourite skinny jeans. I wasn't going to buy more skinnies as I think a straighter slightly looser leg looks a bit more current but the skinny is still around for a while yet?

Mara I think you already have a bag from the brand I was looking at on Matches Smile

I'm totally unfulfilled work wise. I don't think I can spend the rest of my days doing what I am atm. Need some direction

Thanks Justa oh no re work

I understand that. Do you know if there’s anything you’d love to do instead?

maradesbois · 20/03/2018 18:21

Hellooo,

Good to see you Viva, stokey & justa. To add my bit to the work chat can understand the stress of ft. In the job I was doing recently was ft in office (no possibility to do anything from home or remotely), having to rush to get home for 7.30 for nanny and bedtime then evening & weekend emails to deal with plus was entry level salary. None of that was why I left and understand it is what I signed up for but would really love to do something 4 days or with flexibility to do some hours remotely but is not looking easy.

justa call me psychic but thought it may be that brand! Haven’t used my new one yet, waiting for spring whenever it may arrive as doesn’t match my arctic parka (khaki) which am sick & tired off and cannot wait to bag up for next winter.

Stokey was wondering how you were getting on at work. Hope you get what you want re hours. Yes I love Rixo btw, don’t have anything but is definitely my style and budget. Also love Saloni, lots of the dresses get reduced 50% in sale, have my eye on one already for a summer wedding.

Fedup I see that your espadrille quest continues. If you’re not married to the buckle would say defo try Castañer (makes me happy to use the ñ!!), they really are the best. these are the lower heel height which I have in black and find them very comfy. Cheaper than the R&B ones too.

Marsha Flowers hope all goes well with specialist, thinking of you and little dd.

Shop thinking of you too.

Yves glad you got sorted. Am intrigued to know where you opted for in Paris. In case you are around the Marais would recommend cafe of Merci and Maison Plisson both on boulevard Beaumarchais for coffee or brunch, also just next door to APC and Bonton!

libertyonhertravels · 22/03/2018 06:16

Hello my lovely voguettes!

Sorry I have been awol but life has been very busy and I have been flying up and down NZ in a combination of final job interview, house hunting and family stuff. The big news is that my appointment to the 'out of Auckland' job has been confirmed and today in a flurry of things coming together we got accepted for a nice rental property in what will be our new home town (catchment for the school I wanted, yay!) and we found someone to take over our Auckland rental (we were in a fixed term contract so had a week or two of worrying that we might have to keep paying rent on it for a while after leaving). So now onto booking house packers (again) and planning our relocation trip. We'll be leaving Auckland on 10th April, arriving in pastures new on 17th April and I start work a week after that.

I had a last minute wobble as I was shortlisted for a job in Auckland and they said if I got it they would beat the money offered by the others but I spent an evening reading through both job descriptions again and concluded that the job I have is the best one in terms of future career / pathway. Feels good to have decisions made and to have a plan!

libertyonhertravels · 22/03/2018 06:32

Now thread catch up...

Great to hear from you Justa. I love that Sandro sweater – was it a keeper? Sorry to hear you are not enjoying work, have you any thoughts about what else you might do?

Yves fantastic to have you back.

Shock at the bracelet losses for Dream and Amber

Shop that under eye make-up vid is amazing!! I’m going shopping this week for make-up and the Trish McEvoy eye brightener is on the list.

(If I can’t get it here I may need to call on a willing voguette to get me one and post it here!!!)

I really like that Zara dress Mara. I thought of you today as I wore this H&M dress we both have on a flight and the air hostess said it looked amazing! I went to the only Zara shop in NZ last week but had DD with me and she needs some new clothes so we just bought for her. I’ll go back tomorrow when she is at school and have a proper look for myself.

Lovely Whistles dress Viva, great to have you back too.

Waves to Stokey, blair, marsha (thinking about you and DD), Dry, QueenC, everyone and Kitty. Hope I haven't forgotton anyone.

Bernice where are you? Hope everything is ok.

libertyonhertravels · 22/03/2018 06:54

And I almost forgot, a little bit of fashion news!

I found these beauties in a designer recycle shop in Auckland. About £30 and barely worn. V, v pleased.

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 22/03/2018 10:51

So glad everything's working out for you lib and good find in the recycle shop!

No fashion news here, still not buying anything. I actually feel quite liberated by not buying all the time, is that strange? Before I was constantly looking for the thing that would 'cheer me up' or 'make me feel better' and now i'm not looking for that through clothes, i'm looking elsewhere, more within rather than looking for external validation. I hope that makes sense!

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 22/03/2018 13:28

That sounds like a good thing to me One!

Lib well done, that's fantastic news! So exciting that you are off again already. You've been busy on Pinterest I see (love it).

Blingy your poor DD, I hope you can get it dealt with again. The other girl sounds horrible!

So yesterday we found out we are having a boy Grin only annoying thing was he wouldn't get in the right position, so I have to go back for another scan next week. I also have a lowish placenta so will get a scan at 32 weeks too. Fingers crossed it will have grown upwards and out of the way, otherwise it might mean an ELCS :/

After so many weeks obsessing about my capsule maternity wardrobe, I have been wearing only normal clothes still Blush except jeans of course. But have my IO stretchy tank dress coming now and also did a Seraphine order of a similar navy dress and some leggings, so will be able to hang everything up together as a little capsule!

Oh Blair congratulations! How wonderful Flowers

Lib exciting stuff well done

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 22/03/2018 15:06

ahhh a little boy! how wonderful. Do try not to worry too much if you have to have a c-section blair admittedly, they aren't pleasant to recover from BUT when they are planned they can be very calm and not a bad experience at all. I had a c-section for the twins, I went for my check up on the monday and was in surgery the very next morning but I was awake the whole time and it was very calm and everything went fine. Thanks

How is DD marsha?

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 22/03/2018 15:15

Oh Marsha I forgot to say, I don't know when your appointment is but hope all is OK and am thinking of you and your DD Flowers

Thanks One, that is reassuring!

OP posts:
OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 22/03/2018 15:41

blair if it's a planned section, you can opt to be awake for it, they give you a spinal and they have a screen up and everything so you don't see anything and you feel nothing at all apart from pressure as they push the baby out of the exit they create. Obviously they do warn you before hand that if things get hairy, they will put you under to finish it but mine was a waking one and it went beautifully, the anaesthetist spoke to me the whole way through and I felt nothing apart from the pressure of the pushing the babies out but it wasn't pain at all, just the weight of the doctors

QueenCapri · 22/03/2018 20:50

Yay, a voguette boy (to marry Marsha’s dd). Honestly, my elective section was an easier recovery than my 2 vaginal births. I’m not going to lie, it was painful for a day or 2 but at least I coukd sit and wee without wincing! The important thing is a healthy baby, try not to get too concerned about how he gets out.
lib that all sounds fantastic.
one you need to coach me about not needing external validation. Since life went tits up I’ve been buying so much stuff.

Weekend in London was good but v v cold. Ended up in the British museum and up the shard (great but totally overpriced). I can totally recommend ‘the play that went wrong’. Total laugh out loud funny, I loved it.

It’s been a busy week (again) and I’m actualky looking forward to the school hols and just chilling out and not having to do the school run for a bit.

I didn’t get a chance to indulge myself in fantasy shopping on Sunday so I’m going to have a quick look now...

QueenCapri · 22/03/2018 21:02

for lib

QueenCapri · 22/03/2018 21:07

for me

shopafrolic · 22/03/2018 21:08

That is perfect for Lib
Blair boys are ace how exciting
Big wave to you all. DF still in and out of hospital so forgive me for not being around much.

QueenCapri · 22/03/2018 21:21

cute

MarshaBradyo · 23/03/2018 10:18

Not much news, have been referred, private isn’t covering it so back to the NHS. Been referred to top people so I’m very grateful about what we can access

Mara still really keen to have you over, it’s going to be a while but I reckon summer champagne in the west-facing garden will make up for it. I’ll be looking forward to it!

MarshaBradyo · 23/03/2018 10:19

On that note I would like some nice comfy but not horrible garden furniture

Do you have anything you love for lounging around in the sunshine?

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 23/03/2018 10:23

Really like the bee trainers! But would be devastated if they got dirty (this is where I can see the appeal of golden goose)

Made a few more purchases, all here. IO and Seraphine arriving today and the H&M stuff is with my sister as they STILL don't deliver to non residential addresses Hmm.

Also bought leather Mango slides which have already sold out once, hope they're nice.

Shop thinking of you and your DF. :) I am very excited about baby boy clothes, love bright colours!

Marsha cross post. Boo for not being covered, but great news re the top people in NHS. I must say I have been really happy so far with all my antenatal care on the NHS, the physio, scans etc, and for various reasons the other day I had a one to one tour of the lovely birth centre at my local hospital (which I hope I can get to use).

Can't help with the garden furniture, my garden is tiny and we just have a small table and chairs from costco. But I would recommend their stuff for quality, can you access a costco membership?

OP posts:
MarshaBradyo · 23/03/2018 11:02

That’s great Blair I used the new centre near where I lived for antenatal, a big shiny NHS place with excellent staff - pretty much up there with private

Now I’m seeing the same person / people - the only difference is the wait. Your birth centre sounds lovely

I have to admit I don’t know what Costco is 😝 I’ll check it out

MarshaBradyo · 23/03/2018 11:08

Should add we’ll probably be asked to wait to do anything anyway even if we saw someone now so the only thing that’s taking a hammering is my nerves - otherwise I’d just pay

Ok back to style ; - if you could only buy one thing this Spring what would it be?

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 23/03/2018 11:10

Oh that sucks not being covered marshabut im sure the speqcialists you do see will be brilliant. Sorry ive no advice to give on gardwn furniture,we dont have agarden just a very industrial looking roof terrace with a few potted plants!!

Have you bought much in the way of baby things yet blair? You must be so excited!!

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 23/03/2018 11:48

One no we haven't bought anything yet! I think DH ordered a cute Ted Baker sleepsuit the other day, but only to make up the difference for free delivery on a Debenhams order of some crockery bits, lol. I keep thinking I have ages to sort everything out but it's going by so fast already.

Marsha it's a members only US wholesaler - you can buy on the website but won't be the same stock I think. Going to one of their warehouses is an experience in itself if you can get membership. Everything they sell is brilliant quality, and they sell everything!

If I could buy one thing - and wasn't pregnant - that's really hard! Probably some kind of versatile dress fitted at the waist Grin

Did a date (or even a month) get sorted for the next MU?
