Thanks Smile I’m ok dd might need an operation argh pains me to write that. Will know more in the next week, my little darling dd

MarshaBradyo · 16/03/2018 10:17

So I’ll be leaning on you all pretty heavily for distraction and just being here, so no one go any where even if just reading, really helps me

As an aside Harrod’s rewards is so petty compared to Liberty! £25 v about £200 voucher for same spend

MarshaBradyo · 16/03/2018 10:19

Fark harrods’ apostrophe crime, am stressed

Blair 20 weeks! How exciting

Viva sounds tough, you do need a break

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 16/03/2018 10:48

marsha i hope things turn out okay and it isn't anything serious though I know how worried you must be right now

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 16/03/2018 11:28

Marsha I'll be here and thinking of you and your little DD :)

I meant to say that there is £200 off a £600 spend at Monnier Freres atm (or £100 off £300), so if anyone missed out with Matches and wants a bag/shoes/accessories they're definitely worth a look. They stock APC and Loewe and stuff.
Code is MF100 or MF200

Hugs marsha. We’ll distract you.
Just on my way for a weekend away. Wearing new Gerard Darrel blouse and have my new bag which I’ve realised doesn’t fit hand cream in. I hate having no hand cream Grin.
Have lovely weekends, I’ll be back Sunday sometime with links

shopafrolic · 16/03/2018 14:28

shopafrolic · 16/03/2018 14:28

Gah!!!! 20

FedupNagging · 16/03/2018 18:17

Sending hugs & positive vibes your way Marsha Flowers

Hi Viva, lovely to see you back. Sorry to hear you've struggling atm - you need a holiday somewhat hot. Nice purchases and like Shop I love the Whistles dress - colour and style. Also thanks for the espadrille link - too high though.

I ordered espadrilles from Russell & Bromely -these - which are perfect in every way - except a bit tight width wise so back they went today. This is turning into 'leather skirt gate' a la Dry Grin

The MV order arrived today - v impressed with the 24hr turnaround. Will try on later.

MarshaBradyo · 17/03/2018 07:30

Thanks everyone Flowers

That’s a shame Fedup They do look good

I have to get my snow boots back out Shock Shop you can wear yours!

Longislandicetee · 17/03/2018 08:20

Morning everyone! Happy St Patrick's day Lib and any other Irish lurkers ☘️

Marsha, big hugs lovely.Thanks

Viva, I know exactly what you mean. I would love to do part time, 4 days a week, but in my case I know I would end up doing 5 days work anyway as my responsibilities wouldn't go down, so no point losing 20% of my pay. I have come up with a compromise solution though, so I hope something works out for you too.

QueenC, if it's snowing in London, I would be wrapping up warm and mooching about in coffee shopsSmile

Blair, congratulations on 20 weeks!! definitely the right thing to not buy post pregnancy stuff now.

I have had a migraine for the last couple of days, still a mild headache this morning. The kids switched on the TV in my room and I have just seen this exercise machine for our home gym so I think this will be today's whim buy. Just checking it out to see if it's compatible with my back. I had my annual medical this week and felt so fat and unfit compared to my last one.Sad I am determined to get back to my former fitness levels but it's a slow journey!

Stokey · 17/03/2018 12:45

Hello everyone

I was at the hairdresser yesterday leafing through a mag for the first time in months & couldn't help thinking of the Voguettes, so thought I should pop in & catch up.

Btw Shop love your new hair - looks amazing.

Sorry to hear about Dd Marsha, thinking about you.

Good luck with your scan next week Blair, are you planning on finding out what you're having?

Blingy hope you're feeling better, & QueenC too

Viva I've found it stimulating but also a real struggle going FT. Mine is better than most as have very strict hours and flexi time if I work over those, also work from home twice a week which helps. I would say I didn't apply for jobs for ages as never saw PT but actually I do think a lot of companies will be flexible especially at a senior level. So it is worth looking around & seeing what's out there. I'm about to try and cut down to 4 days a week, but my boss has just left & isn't being replaced so not sure if they'll agree.

So the fashion things making me Hmm were plastic -really Chanel, those boots - and micro bags. Can't see myself rocking those trends any time soon!

I did see a lovely label which i thought would suit Mara, Erdem-esque-but price tag around the £300 mark but can't remember the name - Midi dresses with lovely patterns, think it starts with R? anyway please enlighten if anyone has a clue what I'm on about!

And love to the rest of you too Yves (great new name), Fedup, Amber, Justa, Dream Everyone... oh and Lib of course xx

Stokey · 17/03/2018 12:49

Got it Rixo

AmberNectarine · 17/03/2018 16:28

Yes I got a massive £5 reward for a £600 spend at Harrods 😄

DryWhiteagainW · 17/03/2018 16:28

I got logged out Sad Sad

Great basis so Fedup glad you were able to use the discount.

Marsha always around for distracting chat......

shop I’ve noted those dark eye products and am going to go shopping ASAP.

I’m ignoring the flutters of snow and pretending it’s sunny (staying cosy indoors) with my embroidered mules, TS white shirt and turned up jeans, feel spring like.......will dress warmer for my night out later .

Oh and I just bought a pair of animal print courts from Dune, can’t believe it’s tken me so long!

shopafrolic · 17/03/2018 16:40

Am wearing the snow boots as I type Marsha Grin
We just went to see Peter Rabbit - so fab.
Thanks for all the hair love - I am v happy and DH announced yesterday that it makes me look younger so that's a plus.
I keep meaning to tell you all about these fab matte Laura Mercier lip crayons
I have it in Dominate which is a great blue toned red, and Fire is an amazing orangey red which I know Sali Hughes raved about. Lasts for ages and isn't drying at all. Highly recommend.

VivaVegas · 18/03/2018 08:33

We went to see Peter Rabbit yesterday too, really enjoyed it!
Very rudely forgot to congratulate the new Mum and Mum to be. Hope all is ok Marsha DS has to have an op at 8 weeks and it was so hard but an hour after you'd never have known it had happened.
Received 2(?) Boden gift vouchers yesterday, has anyone bought any decent basics from them recently? Thought about shorts for summer holidays but a) given the snow it seems wrong and b) I will have shifted these extra lbs by then!
Thanks for your comments on the work/life balance. I'm not sure there is an easy solution, hoping when it brightens and warms up and a few long weekends over Easter and May will help!

Everyonelovessparkles · 18/03/2018 08:47

Sorry to hear about your DD marsha, hope all is ok. Flowers

20 weeks already blair! I agree with amber re the changing bag. With DD I insisted on having one, but will DS I pretty much just used a le pilage or a rucksack. Though some of my nct friends just used the free bag from boots (if they still do it) which was black and pretty functional for the early days. I had that navy seraphine dress but in fuschia. It was a good buy as could be dressed up or down.

I was thinking of taking the DC to see Peter rabbit today, is it any good? DH said it only got 1 star.....

Longislandicetee · 18/03/2018 11:15

I had a changing bag Grin. It was the the il Tutto Mia leather tote. Between my 2 kids it was probably my main handbag for about 5 years so I figured I better get one I liked. The tag thing was about Radley like but the dcs liked playing with it so I never ripped it off.

Drama in my household last night and this morning with dd. The girl who started bullying her 18 months ago and which we dealt with pretty quickly at school, doesn’t seem to let up when they are at parties together and just goes out of her way to upset dd. It so hard as her mother to try and support her through it. Sad On the bright side at least she tells me about everything straight away so it doesn’t fester in her for too long.

MarshaBradyo · 18/03/2018 12:37

Oh Blingy oh no for your lovely dd, I really feel for her and would find it hard to not feel very cross about the girl. Ds had a couple of incidents where the same boy pushed him over I felt so bloody protective and cross. It passed but it was easier as it was at school and like you I could at least say something

Viva that really helps to know. Going to GOSH this week on a private appointment for speed only so will know more

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 18/03/2018 14:30

oh, poor DD blingy its horrible when they are so upset, we went through similar with Ds as one particular boy AND his parents kept singling Ds out for 'being different' and the the other boy made it his mission to make Ds as miserable as possible. the school were straight on it and came down hard on the boy so it fizzled out quite quickly but i was so, so angry at the kids parents for encouraging him to behave that way. They had an issue with the extra support Ds got at school for his autism and they just saw it as him having special treatment that their son didn't get, not for one second understanding that he got extra support because he had extra needs that their child didn't have. they were idiots quite frankly

Longislandicetee · 18/03/2018 20:29

Thank you Marsha and One.Thanks

This parent lark is hard at (allGrin) times!

YvesKleinBlue · 19/03/2018 16:59

blingy I also had an Il Tutto changing bag, the Nico in blue patent leather. I loved mine and used it for both DC and afterwards gave it to DSIL. Great quality!

So sorry for miniblingy! Having been on the receiving end of some low level bullying when I was younger, I can still remember how horrible it felt.

We have booked all out restaurants for our trip to London and Paris so now I will have to lose 2kg in advance as I am sure to put on that amount after all that good food! Wink

Thanks for all your suggestions!
