I feel quite excited Dry - with everything that's been happening I feel the need to shake things up a bit. :)

FedupNagging · 15/03/2018 08:35

That was a manic 24hrs there Dream. enjoy the wedding. What a shame about your bracelet - and yours Amber. Not sure I'd be as philosophical as you about it Dream would cry for hours

Looking forward to seeing the new hair do Shop - hope you get a few hours r&r in the salon today.

I have finally got around to using the MV discount (thanks Dry) - have ordered
Linen v neck and
Spotty top

Miserable and wet here today Sad

QueenCapri · 15/03/2018 09:38

Hello, it’s been a shitty week here-just stressful and emotional. My coach bag arrived and is a keeper. It’s a bit bigger than I imagined but will be v useful. I already have a grey crossbody but I wanted a smaller one to just put a phone, key and bit of money in.

I’ve also indulged in more retail therapy, this [[http://www.jigsaw-online.com/product/floral-leaf-open-neck-top/J35072_BL010 blous]] which I was a bit Hmm at the price but thought I’d try it. It is so not worth the money. I wouldn’t even pay £30 for it, it’s nothing special at all.

Also bought a vest from there called sapphire which is so not. It’s more of a petrol colour so that’s going back. It may only be to wear under clothes but it didn’t make me feel good.

Also a bra, same make and size as my other fantasie ones but gives me pointed cone boobs!

Also some stuff from gap as I was ordering stuff for dd. Just summer tops as they had 30% off. Yesterday it was 35% off. Their business model is bizarre. Anyway, will link when they arrive.

Gotta go as have a meeting....

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 15/03/2018 10:01

Omg thanks shop that video is ace. Love how she recommended the LM concealer I already use - need to get my hands on that Trish McEvoy pencil asap! My dark circles are way worse than hers. I also need one of those soft fluffy blending brushes.

QueenC sending hugs for you. Glad the Coach bag is lovely, shame about the Jigsaw blouse - £120!! I know what you mean about Gap, I had to ring them when the items I'd ordered from BR at 25% off were suddenly 40% off. Fair play to them, they agreed straight away to refund me the difference.

I decided to send back the BR blazer, Mara and Fedup were right, it's silly to buy things for after pregnancy that don't even fit me right now, while I'm still fairly usual sized.

Dream have a great time! Sorry to hear about your lost bracelet :( (and Amber)

Omfg Shop game changer indeed! Need that triangle of light, what a difference. Think I’ll try the LM under eye concealer as well. Can’t wait to see the new hair.

QueenC Flowers glad the Coach bag is a keeper. Am Shock at the price of that Jigsaw top, it is 100% viscose too.

justa good to see you back. I didn’t get Matches code either, I normally get them but late, the C-list!! Am intrigued to know which bag you are coveting...

Am wearing a new high st bargain Zara dress which I picked up the other day. Couldn’t resist it for £15.99, is mmf but a good weight and hangs nicely. Wearing with black tod’s brogues, navy Marni coat (old) and goyard tote for lugging around laptop to complete a job application am working on.

FedupNagging · 15/03/2018 11:36

Great video Shop - want that pencil! I've been using the bobbi brown products I bought with ok results - the colour match is fine it's my application that's lacking so perfect timing.

Cant open your blouse link Queen but no loss it seems.

Loving your bargain dress Mara. Also really liked the APC dress Marsha linked for Yves

did anyone like my MV purchases or have I missed the style mark?!

shopafrolic · 15/03/2018 12:23

Glad you all love the vid. I tried it this morning with a brow arch highlighting pencil and it works a treat. Am about to order the Trish McEvoy one and was please when she quoted two concealers I already use. I liked the look of the Lipstick Queen nude lipstick too.
I’m sat in the hairdressers. First stage of cut done. Colour and Olaplex next.

QueenCapri · 15/03/2018 12:26

fedup great basics, love the tie blouse.
Lovely dress mara.
That video was cool shop but im just too lazy to use that many products Grin. Also I find that if I cover up my dark circles too much that I look like I’m wearing a mask! If mine are worse with tiredness, my eyes are normally puffy too so any amount of make won’t help! Hope it’s going well at the hairdressers.

If you had a Saturday In London with your oh, no shopping allowed, what would you do...? I’m after ideas.

MarshaBradyo · 15/03/2018 16:01

That video - her eyes look completely different!

Everyonelovessparkles · 15/03/2018 18:44

Hope the hair cut / restyle went well shop and that you are pleased with the results. Great video link re eye make up. No wonder I look like 💩most of the time as never do any of that. Hope your DF is doing ok too. Is your DH back now?

LOVE the bag blair. Think you did the right thing re the blazer.

Great bling blingy. And lucky you re the treat from your DH!

Great dress mara and a bargain! Good luck with the job hunting.

In that front, any further news from you lib re your job offer? (Or are you in the depth of moving again?)

queenc sorry to hear you’ve had a tough week. If I was going out with OH and not shopping I would like to go to the Picasso exhibition at Tate modern, or have a wanderer round borough market or wander round Covent Garden / general meander down the river etc , sky garden is also nice and the brasserie there is nice too. I’d also like to go for afternoon tea somewhere nice or boat trip down the Thames to Greenwich then a wander round the park to the observatory or you could climb the O2 that was fun then go on the cable car.

Everyonelovessparkles · 15/03/2018 18:52

Also sorry to hear about the bracelet dream (and amber). Hope you have a great time at the wedding. Which outfit did you decide on?

Nice tops fedup they will be good basic additions.

shopafrolic · 15/03/2018 19:19

Everyone DH is back but fighting off man flu again. He goes again on a Sunday.
Hair is done. I’m really pleased. Had a fair amount chopped off and it’s much lighter. Feels good.

Everyonelovessparkles · 15/03/2018 20:07

Glad to hear you are pleased with your hair shop. You should tell your DH to get the flu jab next year then no excuse for man flu 🤣. Hope his next trip goes ok (for you both!)

Everyonelovessparkles · 15/03/2018 20:10

fedup meant to say that mint velvet had a nice lemon top (after the one you saw in boden had the extra detail you didn’t like) and there was also a nice pair of espadrilles.

FedupNagging · 15/03/2018 21:51

Thanks Everyone - I saw the espadrilles in JL last week (even though it says web exclusive) and they are very lovely but a bit too high. I'd missed the lemon top though.

Glad you're pleased with your hair Shop

Queen Last autumn dh & I decided to 'just walk' instead of visiting the usual haunts. We had an idea of where we'd like to end up and just wandered through some lovely streets/parks etc, stopping off in the odd pub and coffee shop and finished off in an Italian restaurant somewhere.

I keep trying to visit the sky garden but it's always closed when I'm in London.

Everyonelovessparkles · 15/03/2018 22:30

lemon jumper for fedup, though admittedly the lemon is pretty small!

Everyonelovessparkles · 15/03/2018 22:32

These were the ones I meant espadrilles though guess it depends if you like the rock stud look???

YvesKleinBlue · 16/03/2018 00:50

I am not a huge fan of the rockstud look usually but I do like those espadrilles.

Speaking of lemons, I love these espadrilles

I bought some dark denim ones with cherry embroidery from this brand last year and loved them.

VivaVegas · 16/03/2018 07:27

Morning!
Not been on for ages, too much going on as per usual and still trying to limit time on line to not waste the little free time I have.
Welcome to new joiners and returners!
For those that work full on full time do you go through phases where you just think there has to be an easier way? I'd love to drop to a 4 day week but my company don't support part time and I'd never get a new job part time at the level I'm at so I just seem stuck. I just feel a bit worn out and jaded at the moment.
Have bought a few bits recently and none of them black for a change!
Lovely cobalt Whistles Dress.
Even brighter (!) jacket which I've just seen is now reduced!
Good Basic linen top but nice blue and ruffles make it less plain.
And picked up this top in the last if the Hush sale which is a bit different.
Did a late night ASOS order last night so will link if i keep any.
I also need to shift half a stone of winter weight as things are right and that's possibly not helping how I feel. Need to lay off the chocolate and the booze!

VivaVegas · 16/03/2018 07:30

Who was looking for espadrilles?
Love those MV ones btw. I actually like quite a lot in there at the moment, now they've moved away from all grey!
These are nice Jones I have them in tan from last summer, not too high and really comfy.

MarshaBradyo · 16/03/2018 09:26

Hi Viva good to see you, love the brights

I’m in the midst of medical stuff so feeling stressed, but have really good experts helping. Seeing your links and reading really helps so will be here and posting sporadically, send me good vibes!

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 16/03/2018 09:46

Hope all is OK Marsha? Sending vibes :) Flowers

Hair looks fab shop, glad you're pleased!

The rockstud espadrilles are very cool. This summer I am going to need some supportive shoes due to my pelvis, so unless it never gets warm enough for sandals, I expect I'll get some Birkenstock Arizonas or something. Am 20 weeks today Grin

Good to see you Viva, love the colour of the Whistles dress.

libertyonhertravels · 16/03/2018 09:53

Popping in just to say a quick hi - things are full on here and I am exhausted. Will catch up properly over the weekend.

QueenCapri · 16/03/2018 10:09

marsha hope all is ok
blair I lived in birks or merrell sandals or my running trainers (but laces are impossible by the end!) as i needed support too. It had to be comfort over style sadly.
Welcome back vegas. I only do 3 days a week and feel like that! Shame your company do t support part time. Could you do 4 longer days or work from home for a day? When I had a 4 day job I pretty much did a full time job so it’s not necessarily less stressful. People only tend to see you as part time if you drop to 3.
