Number 81! The days are getting longer, and we're looking forward to shedding a few layers for Spring, while remaining stylish of course. If you love talking fashion and new buys, come on in, all welcome! Gin Wine Brew

Ooh, nice treat blair

Actually, one repeat thing I have bought over the years is rimmel hide the blemish. I have a Bobbi brown concealer to cover spot scars but to cover actual spots I prefer the rimmel.

Great buys Blair especially the Gucci handbag Envy

Talking of Gucci bags where are you Justa? Hope all is well.

Longislandicetee · 10/03/2018 10:31

Morning everyone! Blair, love that Banana Republic dress, and obviously the Gucci bag! Also love the Seraphine dress. I couldn't open your other 2 BR links, don't know whether it was just me.

Tough week this week, so dh and i went out to Pizza Express and cinema last night. We saw Black Panther and I spent the first half thinking "Eh? I don't get itBlush". Anyway, our very casual date night on a rainy day gave the chance to wear my new Canada Goose jacket. It looks really good on, as its a slim fit (the model doesn't make it look like it). Underneath i wore my YSL cashmere jumper with jeans and boots. Dh looked at me and said "you look nice" then peeked closer and said "you bought a Canada Goose jacketShock?". Weird, what he knows about!

QueenC on your make up question. I am relatively boring in that if i find something that works, i tend to stick to it. I didn't really wear make up (other than lippy) until i was in my 30s, through a combination of not needing it and not knowing what to do. When I was getting married, i went to a MAC make up artist and we spent a long time going through the whole store and looking at what worked, what didn't and what to do, so I have broadly stuck to it and have just swapped things in as i have found things that worked better. I think now, in my 40s, my make up is just right, and really enhances what i have without looking too much. My repeat purchases from Nars are: oil free primer, sheer glow foundation, tinted moisturiser and black eyeshadow stick (which i use on the go), longwear black eyeliner. From MAC i get their lip primer, eye shadow primer, eye shadows and blusher. The thing that i experiment with most is mascara (as i have never found one that wowed me and made me think i had to stick with it) and lipstick/lip gloss.

Nice purchases Blair. Not sure how many nappies you'll squeeze into the fabulous new bag though!

I actually took a half decent bathroom pic the other day which I've posted on pin.

The trouble with not quite knowing what clothes I want/like/need is that I then go out and purchase anything that is half decent. I found myself in TK this am with armfuls of stuff but gave myself a good talking to and put it all back.

I did however buy this jumper from H&M in plum (love, love the colour) which I intend to wear with winter white jeans.

What's everyone up to today? We're out at party tonight - outfit will be black HL coated skinnies and KM metallic top. Not sure about shoes as there are no dc's around for a lift so we'll have to walk Shock

Longislandicetee · 10/03/2018 16:20

FedUp, i was hoping that Blair is going to be far more fashion forward and have more child free nights out (just one will beat my record!)than I was in my first year as a mumSmile

maradesbois · 10/03/2018 16:46

Happy Saturday Voguettes,

Am enjoying a riverside coffee with Harper’s Bazaar & MN while ds is at a party, feels like spring is in the air Smile.

Quiet weekend for us, in tonight but am getting taken to Angela Hartnett’s restaurant tomorrow for Mother’s Day. Am back on Slimming World having piled it on recently so will be even more of a treat than normal.

Blingy will check out the nars oil free primer as can’t use oil on my skin. Don’t have oily skin at all but products with oil give me breakouts without fail. Do you perchance have any other o/f skincare recommendations particularly for hydrators? At the moment my normal moisturiser seems too light.

Am same as Blair and QueenC about makeup but will rebuy Laura Mercier secret camouflage concealer, is great. Also LM eye pencil crayon in cappuccino, is darkest brown and much better for my skin tone than black although would only ever use black mascara.

Fedup plum sweater with winter white jeans sounds lovely. Good on you putting all the unnecessary tk stuff back too!

QueenC lovely links. I looked at the one for lib with interest as we have lots of crossover, for colour at least but that one is so her but not me. Think lib is more ladylike.

Have to link this fantasy beauty as absolutely adore the print. Can picture dh’s horrified face if I bought it, not that I would even in the better times but he is so sensible bearish at the moment. I really need to get a job and buy my own wardrobe guilt free, the search starts in earnest on Monday.

maradesbois · 10/03/2018 16:52

Blair I forgot to comment on the gorgeous new bag, it’s a beauty!! Also very practical to have something small and crossbody when you’re pushing a pram. Regarding changing bags I used a longchamp le pliage hobo as it had a big wide strap to go over the pram handle. For inside I had a travel changing mat and various bags and pouches from Cath Kidston, they usually have lots of cute kids’ prints.

DryWhiteagainW · 10/03/2018 17:11

I’ve just bough these on a whim.

Fedup I know how you feel. I often buy stuff that’s just a bit meh, then give myself a good talking to and take it back.

Longislandicetee · 10/03/2018 18:09

Those are really cute

I also had a Saturday afternoon whim!Grin

DryWhiteagainW · 10/03/2018 19:39

Damn Blingy that’s a serious whim Grin

I thought those mules could do as posh summer slippers if nothing else.....

shopafrolic · 11/03/2018 09:56

Happy Mother's Day Voguettes.
Continued health issues with my DF mean I'll be back when I can. Love to all.

QueenCapri · 11/03/2018 11:06

I’ve just had a whim purchase too!

Longislandicetee · 11/03/2018 11:37

Happy Mother's Day Voguettes!ThanksThanksThanks

Love that bag QueenC, that's a good whim!

Shop, hope you don't feel too down today without MrShop and your DF's health issues and that you have fun with miniShop.SmileThanks

No Mother's Day sweet treats for me today as I gave them up for Lent but I got flowers and bling, the latter was clearly a last minute thing! I whatsapped dh yesterday afternoon when i was having my whim and sent him 2 pictures. All i said was this or that one. He said either, so I chose the one i linked yesterday as i was a bit worried that the other one was too much like my wedding set. Anyway, he must have gone into the shop after me, as he's got me the other oneConfused. I think it's this one but will check it properly later. All I can say is that I will look very glam in Harvester later for our Mothers Day mealGrin

MarshaBradyo · 11/03/2018 12:26

Happy Mother’s Day lovely voguettes Flowers

MarshaBradyo · 11/03/2018 12:27

Blair I don’t always carry a bag on short trips with sling but when I do I have one from Petit Pan which I love. Soft, roomy, squidgy and pretty I really like it

Dry fab whim buy too

MarshaBradyo · 11/03/2018 12:48

YvesKleinBlue · 11/03/2018 18:40

Hello Lovely MNVoguettes!

I haven’t been on MNV for ages Blush as the time difference makes it so hard to keep up with the thread.

I think about all of you regularly, especially when I wear something I bought after getting advice on here --which is a lot—

I am in need of some more advice, but not fashion related this time.

DH and I are going to spend a few days in London and Paris in April and I wanted to know which restaurants you can recommend.

Things have changed so much since we lived in London more than ten years ago and we have no clue what’s good and what’s not. And Paris is even more of a mystery whe it comes to restaurants!

Happy Mother’s Day to all of you who are still based in the UK!

YvesKleinBlue · 11/03/2018 18:44

Oh I just realised I namechanged a while back and you probably won’t know who this is.

I don’t want to out myself but I posted on our old Pinterest group first until someone pointed out to me that nobody uses that anymore! Grin

I have a penchant for handbags and Bretons (wink wink) Smile

Hope that helps!
