Number 81! The days are getting longer, and we're looking forward to shedding a few layers for Spring, while remaining stylish of course. If you love talking fashion and new buys, come on in, all welcome! Gin Wine Brew

Marsha Grin
I’ll be on my own for Mother’s Day with miniShop not quite sure what to do.......
DF back to hospital again today, home again now thankfully. It’s getting v tiring and v stressful.
Snow boots finally arrived and although the snow has gone they are fab and I will definitely keep.
Ugg slippers (my Mother’s Day gift) also arrived and are fab - super toasty
No doubt Summer will arrive tomorrow Hmm

MarshaBradyo · 06/03/2018 10:50

Not sure whether to make them repeat it 😬

Great news on snow boots.

I wore my new Marants yesterday, the weather was incredible compared with a couple of days before

MarshaBradyo · 06/03/2018 10:51

Oh not that blinking smiley too weak

This one Grin

shopafrolic · 06/03/2018 14:31

I would - double the love

FedupNagging · 06/03/2018 17:35

Grinat Marsha and yes definitely go for a repeat performance

Dry your hair has really grown, it's a good length but yes layers will take out the heaviness. Mine tends to look triangular without layering!

I spent ages (& a fortune) at the Bobbi Brown counter. The SA was brilliant matching my skin tone with concealer etc etc & showing me how to apply it all properly. Also replenished my favourite lipstick -sandwash pink which I think looks similar to the Chanel one Queen purchased.

I rarely repurchase the same lipstick/eyeshadow etc so my question to you all is what do you all buy over and over again?

shopafrolic · 06/03/2018 18:04

Fedup My repeats are Laura Mercier tinted moisturiser, Laura Mercier under eye concealer, Dior Nailglow, Benetint Lip Balm and Benefit Gimme Brow. Oh and Chanel waterproof eye pencils.

DryWhiteagainW · 06/03/2018 21:53

No7 waterproof mascara
MAC lipstick in 'Spirit'
MAC eyeshadow in Brun
YSL Touche Eclat

Have worn these for years although 'Velvet Teddy' is my new MAC lip fav.

AmberNectarine · 07/03/2018 20:20

Blair its from Urban Outfitters but was in the last sale so may be sold out. I LOVE that bedding.

A good day today, was looking at some of the vintage style Gucci bags with the striped webbing in the latest collection and suddenly remembered an Oxfam find from many years ago. Had a dig around my childhood bedroom and found it - £8 (pic is same as minee) in 2006 and virtually identical to a version retailing for £11500 in the current collection. Ok, mine's a little battered, but it's vintage, darling!

AmberNectarine · 07/03/2018 20:21

Well, what happened there?

AmberNectarine · 07/03/2018 20:23

fedup my repeats are Lancôme Hypnose mascara, Bobbi Brown skin foundation, Kat Von D tattoo liner and charlotte tilbury karma chameleon eyeshadow crayons.

shopafrolic · 07/03/2018 20:29

Oh yes forgot about Lancôme Hypnose but has to be the original one

MarshaBradyo · 07/03/2018 21:11

Repeat buy Perricone MD No Foundation Foundation - for the light consistency rather than any anti aging claims which basically is just going to be the UV protection in a foundation

Nars blusher

And Chanel blanc

MarshaBradyo · 07/03/2018 21:12

Le Blanc

This is all work or going out stuff though when at home I don’t use it

AmberNectarine · 07/03/2018 21:48

I really like that Perricone stuff Marsha

Everyonelovessparkles · 08/03/2018 08:49

That was a good buy amber!

How do you find the no foundation foundation marsha? I’ve been tempted by that a few times but as it’s quite expensive I’m wary. I’m currently using the double wear nude/light which I like for light coverage and durability, but sometimes just want something to even out skin tone without being a full on make up. I’ve never really had much luck with BB, CC creams or tinted moisturisers.

I don’t really have many repeat buys in terms of make up. I do like the double wear light so have bought that a few times, I usually just buy a L’Oréal lipstick as they seem to last ages, I used to be wedded to max factor mascara but the last one I had did seem to shed, so tried the Lancôme one which I did like and would buy again.

Following on from blair’s comment the other day about sales, I have since been inundated with sales emails - the outnet, whistles, LKbennet, the white company and monsoon! Had a quick perusal but need to think about what i need so don’t get distracted by ‘a bargain’!

MarshaBradyo · 08/03/2018 10:56

Really good. It is very expensive which nearly put me off

It has good elasticity and is not heavy at all and when I tried Chanel afterwards it felt chalky in comparison

Could you get a sample from somewhere do you think?

FedupNagging · 08/03/2018 19:03

It's interesting to hear what you all repeat buy; may try the mascara and the foundation - I'm probably going to repeat buy the YSL touche eclat foundation which is not much cheaper than the Perricone.

I did repeat purchase Mac eyeliner for a while then changed to smashbox (not keen) and now using NYX - much cheaper and am pretty impressed so far.

Trying to get my head around what I need to purchase for spring/summer - (apart from espadrilles) but finding it difficult whilst the weather is so rubbish.

kittyhello · 08/03/2018 19:09

I have that same bag Amber from back in the day. I think it was my 1st designer bag aged 18 Shock I soon followed it up with a matching purse. The purse got truly battered and no longer exists. I still have the bag but the zip is broke. May dig it out again.

I'm not a big buyer of make up and have only started wearing it regularly recently. So my only repeat buy is Lancôme mascara.

QueenCapri · 09/03/2018 05:16

I don’t get through make up very quickly so will often look for something new when something runs out. I bought this highlighter the other day as I got chatting to a woman in boots and she recommended it. I really like it as it’s not too glittery.

kittyhello · 09/03/2018 06:59

I have that No. 7 one too Queen. Where do you use it? I dab it where she suggested but it looks a bit too much for a daytime look. I want it to look more subtle.

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 09/03/2018 08:51

I repeat buy Lancome Doll Eyes mascara and Estee Lauder DoubleWear Light. I can't use the original DoubleWear as it's too heavy and mask like and ends up breaking me out but the light version covers my scars without looking chalky and heavy. Most everything else, i'll try various different things, I'm not particularly brand loyal to anything outside those two things.

Not feeling inspired clothes wise right now, it's still too chilly to wear half my wardrobe and a lot fo it doesn't translate to cold weather wear because of the fabrics or patterns, that said, i'm not at all short of things to wear, I have more than enough, i'm just feeling a bit lazy about it really

QueenCapri · 09/03/2018 09:45

kitty I just kind of put in on the top of my cheekbone. I like it just under my eyebrows too but can’t highlight that area until next week when I’ve had them done!

Wearing the new gap blouse that I bought the other week-really like it

libertyonhertravels · 09/03/2018 10:11

My repeat make up buys are Laura Mercier tinted moisturiser and primer and I will be repeat buying the LM Candleglow foundation and powder when my current ones run out. I always buy Maybelline mascara.

shopafrolic · 09/03/2018 11:47

LM Candleglow is beautiful - I couldn't get the right colour match (they gave me a shade too light) so I need to go back and try again.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 09/03/2018 12:38

I'm like QueenC and hardly ever buy makeup. Really not into it at all, especially as a contact lens wearer who finds all eyeshadow irritating. As long as my skin looks good I'm happy, and I do have several lipsticks. But the things I have repeat bought are:
Laura Mercier Secret Concealer
Rimmel eyebrow pencils (I need to find a new product but I'm too basic)
Clinique Lash Power mascara.

I've been spending a lot this week Blush
Seraphine dress from ebay, to wear to a few nice events I've got in the next few months.
2 maternity t-shirts (coral and breton) and this tunic, from H&M.
Balmain-esque blazer, tie back dress and a useful cardigan from Banana Republic,
and Matches sent me a very timely code so I got £200 off this beauty.
Now just need to decide what sort of changing bag I'm going to pair it with (traditional style, backpack, or just a large tote bag).
