Number 81! The days are getting longer, and we're looking forward to shedding a few layers for Spring, while remaining stylish of course. If you love talking fashion and new buys, come on in, all welcome! Gin Wine Brew

QueenC' I love the bag. Playsuit is a little 'Eddie the Eagle on the game' which is a look too niche even for me.

shopafrolic · 05/03/2018 09:36

Queen I think I was sold that lipstick as a 'suits everyone' shade. it didn't work for me so I think I moved it on to Dry?
Back in Rag & Bone skinnies again today and dug out my old Dagmar sweater, wearing with my Acne Jensens (true love).
MrShop called having just landed in Hong Kong.
I'm having a sort out at home. Bought new curtains and a new rug for our back room (dining / play / living room) - grey and yellow tones, feels brighter for Spring.

libertyonhertravels · 05/03/2018 09:47

Amber how could you shatter Dry's fantasies like that??? I love your take on the playsuit Grin

Really like that IM blouse you linked for me QueenC and your new lippy looks lovely.

My big news is (drum roll) I am the 'preferred candidate' for the 'out of Auckland' job. Offer will be confirmed after a face to face next week. Apologies in advance for being MIA but we are now house hunting and contemplating packing everything up again! I could literally brief anyone on just about every available half decent house in my new location not to mention the contents of half a dozen primary school reports. Loads to sort out. Likely to leave Auckland in 5/6 weeks. But all v v exciting.

Bought new gym gear today - Fila leggings and asics tops and Bendon sports bras which are deeply unsexy but feel seriously robust and supportive. I had a very bad moment in one changing room where I couldn't get a crop top style sports bra off and struggled for about 10 mins before texting DH to come and help me. I had to stand with my arms up in the air like a kid being changed while he eased it off - so embarrassing Blush Grin

Good outfit Shop Smile

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 05/03/2018 10:01

Grey and yellow sounds lovely shop. Now that our bathroom is done (so happy, I will post a pic sometime!) I am obsessing over the best way to reorganise all the built in cupboards in our house, of which there are 8 Grin and dare I say it... the box room aka nursery.

Marsha how is everything coming along with your house?

I bought this dress from IO last night and I went for a size 12 so that it'll be more comfy, as my ruched dress from Baukjen has always been slightly unforgiving in a 10.

Dry your Netflix life skills made me laugh. What do you want to do with your hair?

Also laughed at "Eddie the Eagle on the game" Grin

Moor hope you feel better soon.

Lib didn't see your post until I pressed send on mine. Whoop whoop, well done you! That is so exciting. Love hearing about it all. LOL at the sports bra drama!

Morning Voguettes,

I imagine Blingy’s office to be pure Suits Dry, sleek, polished and pencil skirted with nary a vending machine in sight!!

Lib woo hoo, amazing progress on the job front, Love the term ‘preferred candidate’. All sounds really positive. I laughed out loud at your changing room fiasco, brought back memories of getting properly stuck in a Morgan (Morgan de toi, anyone remember from ‘90s?) dress as a teen in a pseudo fancy local boutique and sweating at what the snooty saleswomen would do if I broke it!

Queen love the marant shirt you linked for lib in the blue colourway, is on my spring wishlist.

Am job hunting too, am trying for pt if possible, will see. In fashion news wore the new boots a lot at the weekend, a great buy and still look good now the ice has thawed.

So, Oscar dresses...

My fave looks from what have seen were Lupita and Saorise Ronan. Loved the pink against her colouring, find her so beautiful.

shopafrolic · 05/03/2018 10:16

Lib so thrilled with how things are going for you but did PMSL at the sports bra story. I can imagine MrLib being a trooper Grin
Blair Let the nesting commence :)
I need to catch up on Oscar pics - will go and look.

MarshaBradyo · 05/03/2018 10:17

Me too much Mara very much so, I also think Lupita always looks beautiful

I loved the list of female best actors as they are all ace and I’m glad Frances won as she is brilliant but I hope Saoirse wins next time for something soon

Blair good all the new lights are in and they look great, we gave the old ones away which felt good. Curtains and decor next. Not sure whether to do ore-planning with council has anyone done this? Costs £75 to take the architect plans to a meeting.

How are you feeling, how many weeks are you? Must be overly to get into the spring weather pg

Lib so good when will you fly there?

MarshaBradyo · 05/03/2018 10:22

I skim read all that in my excitement to post and see that we feel the same about L and S, I could enthuse a lot about their beauty

And that Lib you are going this week, I really would love to hear all about it it’s the closest to my neck of the woods in terms of latitude - maybe a bit further

MarshaBradyo · 05/03/2018 10:23

And the top story made me laugh, at least you didn’t have to ask a sa like I did in Liberty once - it wasn’t my fault the dress was ridiculous Hmm

MarshaBradyo · 05/03/2018 10:25

And doexcited for your nursery Blair, I bought some gorgeous things and splashed out on a Stella M bunny blanket and French doll which nearly £50 Shock but oh so pretty and worth it. I’m not so bad now, having a break from buying baby stuff

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 05/03/2018 10:38

I need to look at the Oscars dresses properly! I have seen Saoirse's and agree she looked stunning. I need to watch her in something other than Atonement because her character in that was so awful, lol.

Marsha 18 weeks! My 20 week scan isn't until the 21st March though, which will be an annoying extra few days' wait. I am feeling good at the moment thanks, the pelvic pain has got a lot better. New lights sound great, it makes such a difference.

Amber I hope this doesn't sound too weird but where is your bedding on your instagram from? My brother would love it!

Oscar dresses

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 05/03/2018 10:42

Cross posted again. You have to get a few really special things don't you?! :) things to treasure.

My sister is crafty and she already made lots of things for our other sister's baby, so I know I will be getting a big crocheted blanket, a quilt and a taggy (but much more detailed than that one). I'm very lucky!

Shock at having to ask an SA for help Marsha. If DH hadn't been around I would have had to ask I think - it wasn't going to come off without me dislocating a shoulder.

Must look at Oscar pics....

Thanks for all the good vibes, so lovely being able to share the excitement on here.

I go there next Monday Marsha - will send you some pictures Smile

Blair that IO dress looks great - very versatile.

Good luck job hunting Mara.

MarshaBradyo · 05/03/2018 10:49

Oh that’s cute, I hadn’t heard of a taggy

I still have some knitting by my mother for a baby girl, so pretty but as it was before ds was born she didn’t know what I was having. So 12 years later it can be worn!

I knitted a scarf and bunny mittens but it took so long, I can’t find the time (or free arms really) but still have some really nice wool to use

MarshaBradyo · 05/03/2018 10:50

I know it was bad I still remember the dress, tweedy and too hot arg

Everyonelovessparkles · 05/03/2018 11:47

Great news on the job lib. Poor you in the changing room. At least your DH was there.

mara I remember Morgan! Everything seemed to be black Lycra or have hearts on and was one size. Randomly I still have a black beaded cardigan from Morgan that is still going strong! Morgan and kookai were the aspirational brands in my teens. Everyone wanted a kookai T-shirt! Good luck with your job hunt too. Glad the boots are proving to be a good buy.

Nice dress blair. Good luck with your nursery plannng. I think mamas and papas and mothercare might have sales coming up / already on if you are looking to get anything.

marsha that is nice you still have something your mum made that DD can wear.

Had a quick skim of the Oscar dresses. I didn’t like what Nicole Kidman wore with that weird bow feature. Helen Mirren looked classic, that shade of blue suited her and her necklace really made the outfit. There were quite a few shockers though.....

DH has got man flu. He had the flu jab earlier. In the year and at the time I said it was pointless and that he had better not get man flu now. When I reminded him of this this morning, he quickly downgraded the man flu diagnosis to ‘a bad cold’. Hmm

FedupNagging · 05/03/2018 18:40

Lib Grin at your changing room horror I've had a few too. Exciting times ahead for you if you land this role.

Blair can't believe you're nearly 20 weeks. The scan is so exciting.

Oscars: Allison Janney in red with the long floaty sleeves looked great, Helen Mirren looked fab as always and I never fail to love whatever Viola Davis rocks up in. with a nod in the direction of the chaps, some sharp suits and how fab was the shirt James Ivory wore?

Dry what hairstyle are you going for? Had a much needed haircut today with a good 3cms lopped off. It feels so much better!

MoorMummy · 05/03/2018 19:20

Lib cracking up at your story but well done on the job. Mara I loved Morgan, it was v swish in the 90’s. I’ve got a sheer fitted shirt upstairs that I still pull out now and then, I’ve had it longer than I’ve been married and that’s 21 years! Lots of the tops were just walking adverts for he store!

Re Oscar dresses must say I LOVED the young Hollyoaks actresses (Rachel Shenton? ) dress and her look in general , so fresh and natural. And she sounds likes a Northern lass too.

MoorMummy · 05/03/2018 19:21

Blair I’ve got the non maternity version of that black tank dress, which I’d forgotten all about!

DryWhiteagainW · 05/03/2018 19:36

Oh Amber don’t shatter my illusions Sad .......but I have been going through DHs suits and am very pleased indeed.

Re hair.......it’s the perfect length now, just grazing my shoulders, because it’s so thick it sometimes looks heavy all one length. Am wondering whether I need some layers. Will have a chat with my hairdresser. Or I might just change my hairdresser....I do every 5 years or so.

MarshaBradyo · 05/03/2018 20:29

I wondered why everyone was so quiet about Mother’s Day and why I was still seeing adverts - bit late for that I thought Hmm

Woke in a grump on Sunday and expected to be treated very well, dh sorted out the handmade presents. Turns out I was a week early Grin

DryWhiteagainW · 05/03/2018 21:07

Grin Marsha
