Number 81! The days are getting longer, and we're looking forward to shedding a few layers for Spring, while remaining stylish of course. If you love talking fashion and new buys, come on in, all welcome! Gin Wine Brew

Meant to add, welcome moor. If you love it and will wear it but the jacket. But only if it will add something different to your wardrobe and isn’t too similar to what you already have.

QueenCapri · 28/02/2018 08:14

Sorry, that sounded really preachy Grin.

My pregnancy style was fairly similar to usual. Jeans and tees with cardigans. By the end of all 3 I was so big I was in dh shirts. My bumps were always massive so no way could I have just sized up in normal clothes.

DryWhiteagainW · 28/02/2018 08:40

Snowed in today! Will probably have a movie fest.

Moor it's taken a while but I'm really into crisp white shirts at the moment (not when it's snowing and sub zero though, even with heat tech under).....i think they look so chic.

Snow "fashion" today.....best, fluffy socks, slippers, jeans, jumper, cardigan, woolly scarf....not venturing outdoors

QueenCapri · 28/02/2018 09:29

How pretty are these trainers

MoorMummy · 28/02/2018 10:10

Queen they are gorgeous !

MoorMummy · 28/02/2018 10:21

Drywhite- in terms in foundation, I’ve used L’Oréal Glam Nude CC cream for several years. I use the anti dullness one as I’m pale and sallow. However I think they might be discontinuing it so I’m desperately buying up supplies. Was thinking of trying The Ordinary Serum foundation next , anyone use it?

shopafrolic · 28/02/2018 10:55

Sorry - not fully back yet but wanted to say MoorMummy I LOVE that Zara coat (and the sound of your style)
can someone buy this please?

DryWhiteagainW · 28/02/2018 11:09

Love those trainers QueenC.
I’m taking notes on foundations Moor

DryWhiteagainW · 28/02/2018 11:10

My one item this month is these with 15% discount

MoorMummy · 28/02/2018 11:19

I know I should never some on here to be discouraged from buying anything!!!!

shopafrolic, I love that skirt so much, but I already have a full tulle black skirt that I promised myself I would wear loads but haven't , not really found a top that goes well. having said that I picked this up at weekend which might do the job. Really nice silky feel, I wore it Saturday with my skinny jeans.

www.marksandspencer.com/light-control-long-sleeve-body/p/p60099851?image=SD_02_T61_1679_Y0_X_EC_90&color=BLACK&prevPage=srp&pdpredirect

So regretfully I can't buy that skirt as well!

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 28/02/2018 11:50

Thanks for the maternity wear reassurance. Dry pretty sure maternity pleather trousers are back! And Isabella Oliver even have leather leggings. Lib I'm psyching myself up to do that yes! Probably 2 tank dresses to layer with shirts/tops/jumpers over, and 1 dress with sleeves. Throwing money at the problem.

I got my Topshop Jamies yesterday and it felt amazing to wear jeans for the first time in weeks. It is possible to get sick of loungewear!

QueenC really pretty trainers. Think I need to try some Vejas.

Beautiful shoes Dry - really you.

Welcome Moor, the M&S body with tulle skirt sounds like a fab outfit. I like Baukjen too, for work.

Noticed at 4am it had snowed. When I got up, it took me an hour to drive the 6 miles to work (gridlocked traffic, slushy icy roads). Angry

Just the sort of shoes I need ona snowy day Hmm

MoorMummy · 28/02/2018 12:42

Dry, lovely shoes, my feet aren't very lovely though, they are wide and I tend to break out flat shoes.

FedupNagging · 28/02/2018 13:24

Being so huge by the time I was pg with ds3 (1999) the whole All Saints/VB look was out of the question! I had a couple of pinafores which were ok I guess.

Hi to Moor, really like your simple stying. Lovely Zara coat.

I've got a busy few days-London, Cambridge plus local runs so could really do without the snow, pretty though it is.

Fab shoes Dry-where did you find the discount as I just paid overpriced full price for a top?

maradesbois · 28/02/2018 13:43

Hi Voguettes,

For someone who has only bought one item since Christmas I have a lot to say atm Grin. Am holed up inside due to an inflamed plantar fascia caused by running (discovered what this was yesterday, tissue linking the heel to toes). Is so bloody painful I thought something was broken at first.

Dry you are doing 1 item per month? Enjoy your day inside. Book recommendation for you btw, lullaby by Leila Slimani about a nanny who kills the children (not a spoiler btw, this is known from the opening like columbo). The original French version ‘chanson douce’ won the prix goncourt in 2016. It is very nuanced & psychological but gripping.

Blair nightmare journey. Weather is bad and not surprised at usual train cancellations and lack of gritting but am amazed at central London schools being closed, it isn’t that bad here & public transport running normally.

Moor welcome, like the sound of your style. Fwiw although Zara quality can be crap I always found their jackets and coats to be good and last well.

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 28/02/2018 13:59

Ouch, that sounds very painful mara hope it clears up soon

have run out of steam right now for clearing drawers out, going to have another go later if i feel up to it. there's not much more to go through but i'm determined to get it all sorted through and put away nicely so i know exactly what i've got and where it is

Welcome moor i like the sound of your tulle skirt, i have one, or at least had one, somewhere but i've no idea where it is right now!!!

Everyonelovessparkles · 28/02/2018 14:59

mara I’ve been enjoying the bloggers thread too. I was also surprised at how many ‘collaborations’ there are and am guessing that brands like wyse do a fair bit of gifting to bloggers, as they do seem to feature quite a bit. And as you say, I wonder how great they actually are??

Welcome moor. The Zara coat and how it’s styled look good. It isn’t too expensive, so if you can afford it and accept that it might not last more than a couple of seasons, then go for it! I like the idea of a tulle skirt but not sure when I’d wear it!

dry i think I saw that Zara jacket the other week in store. It looked nice. I was toying with the idea of getting something like that (there seems to be a few around) as I like them styled with jeans and a white top but just wasn’t sure whether I’d look ridiculous and about 90 in it.

queeenc my ravello replacement tops came today, these, they’re nice. It’s a jersey fabric with a viscose layer on the front (to make it double layered). It will look good with jeans / trousers and you can tuck it in, it’s not as sleek to tuck in as the ravello due to the pleating and viscose layer, but still looks fine. It’s quite good value with the 20% off and will be a good spring / summer basic.

The new Boden catalogue came today. I thought there were a few nice things in it
this reminded me of something that dry might like and the dress version
statement breton I’m not mad on slogan tops but this looked ok
pretty top but quite £££
I like how they’ve styled this skirt

We had a bit of snow this morning, enough for a quick sledge in the park before school Smile, but most of it is melting now.

DryWhiteagainW · 28/02/2018 15:27

Oh Everyone that’s very pretty.
Mara I’ll order that book, thank you.
Fedup aren’t you on MV e mail? I’ll PM you the code. Smile

FedupNagging · 28/02/2018 17:48

Thanks Dry - I thought I was on their mailing list but obviously not Hmm

I love the trainers you linked Queen

Mara that is so painful, I've had it a couple of times. Apparently a cortisone jab will help almost immediately but I went for the long term rest up and painkiller option as I'm a wuss However, fitflops are brilliant and make walking a bit easier. I have this style in grey suede and wear a lot in the house.

MoorMummy · 28/02/2018 18:53

I share similar concerns about Zara quality and tend to be very choosy about what I buy from there. Wouldn’t buy blouses or jersey stuff. This coat is very well made though , I was surprised at the quality but I suppose it’s nearly a hundred quid so not dirt cheap.

Mara re the Plantar, I believe it’s awful. They recommend rolling a golf or tennis ball under your foot as a kind of physio.

One night - my tulle skirt was from TK Maxx, it’s beautifully made with a lining and several layers, but a bit much for nipping to the local which is about as far as I get most weekends !

A question, how do I tag people so your names appear in bold like in your posts?

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 28/02/2018 18:58

use either side of the name or word you want to bold so onenight but without the spaces between the and the word

MoorMummy · 28/02/2018 19:25

OneNight like this ?

shopafrolic · 28/02/2018 20:03

That’s it Moor. I’ve just ordered som Sorel Caribou slim boots in red for under £80. Knowing my luck the snow will be gone before they arrive Grin

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 28/02/2018 20:38

well, that's another load of stuff ready to go to the charity shop as and when it's possible to get it across there. There were a few bits i really was torn about but when i really thought about it, i'm positive i haven't worn those things the entire time i've been in london so they are not essential to my wardrobe really so off they go! Hopefully they will be much loved and used by someone else!

that's it moor!

DryWhiteagainW · 01/03/2018 08:06

I have lost the ability to strike through on my new iPad Hmm

shop haven’t you tried your Dubarry boots in the snow? I’ve been wearing my Toggi similars in th snow and my feet are warm , haven’t taken them off.
