Number 81! The days are getting longer, and we're looking forward to shedding a few layers for Spring, while remaining stylish of course. If you love talking fashion and new buys, come on in, all welcome! Gin Wine Brew

blair positive but expensive! Even my pyjamas didn’t escape the cull. Love all those pink trainers and the lilac are lush too. I need to order or try some on. Although just when I thought spring was round the corner it’s apparently getting colder again next week.

DryWhiteagainW · 20/02/2018 22:23

SS wish list?
Hmm...I have my new trainers from Dune so that’s sorted.
I don’t need anything, so my one a month should be ok....

But

I have my eye on

A red coat

A stone bag

A lovely pair of pointy snakeskin flat sling backs

Like I said, I won’t be buying will I ? Hmm

Grin

—and this year’s World Book Day outfit is coming along nicely, not discrete, quite fabulous, I’m v excited—

shopafrolic · 20/02/2018 22:36

I bloody hate World Book day. No ideas this year.
QueenC glad the LM eye stick works for you. Good to hear counselling went well. I always feel so good after a cull. Well done on sending the gold zip dress back if it would bug you.
Blair a super stylish friend of mine was telling me Balenciaga chunky ones are the way to go but then couldn’t find a pic to show me what she meant so I am none the wiser.
I went for a long dog walk today with a friend who loves following OS maps. Ended up walking 9km! I am knackered.

FedupNagging · 20/02/2018 22:53

Oops, link fail- did it on the app so maybe that's why. Will redo tomorrow on the pc.

Queen sounds like you had a good session today. It always feels good after a clear out, (ready for restocking!)

Blair your link took me to your maternity pin board - you've got some great pins, you'll look very stylish.

Been thinking about Spring clothing and could do with a couple of l/s linen or cotton jumpers, slouchy style which will be good for layering over vest tops also would like to try some culottes. I'm really liking the cargo pants Amber & Kitty are wearing but not sure I could pull off that look this time around.

libertyonhertravels · 21/02/2018 02:40

Nice maternity stuff Blair, you will breeze through looking fabulous!

Good to hear counselling is going well QueenC and good call on the dress.

9km walk is a good effort Shop. I went to a new class today, a combined pilates and yoga class - not like my usual slow yoga at all, quite pacy. Think I prefer slow yoga but will try it a few more times.

I'm starting a Maori language course tonight! Just 8 weeks. Partly as I can't pronounce Maori placenames and feel like a twat especially on the phone etc and partly because DD is getting upset that she doesn't know any Maori and her classmates have been doing it for a couple of years and she hates being behind so I want to help her.

QueenCapri · 21/02/2018 09:43

Another world book day hater here. shop, imagine having 3 to dress! I can’t brlieve they still both at senior school. It costs so much bloody money as of course we don’t have all the stuff we need [anger]

Dreamqueen · 21/02/2018 13:02

I'm loving the Levis 501 shorts that I ordered from Zalando. I've worn them every day so far. Not much in my whist list so looking at others for inspiration.

No idea what world book day is.i can guess. Sounds like hard work.

Loving being in the warmth and wearing minimal clothes. Trying to be good with calories but failing miserably.

QueenCapri · 21/02/2018 14:06

dream, if you’re lucky, World book day involves dressing up as a favourite character from a book. Sometimes though, the bastard schools will set a theme Hmm

Anyway, I’ve just returned from buying book day clothes and managed to buy stuff for myself...
trainers. I tried on these and new balance but these are sooo comfy and suit me better. And I got them for £24!

QueenCapri · 21/02/2018 14:07

jacket

QueenCapri · 21/02/2018 14:08

blouse

QueenCapri · 21/02/2018 14:16

I tried this blouse on. Looked lovely on the hanger but frumpy on me

MarshaBradyo · 22/02/2018 01:52

QueenC it looks like a tricky top eleven on the model, really pleased you had a positive session

This is a couple of days old but many look so pretty at the Baftas. The lighting must be better than usual as the make up etc looks beautiful. Especially Jennifer L, Lupita and Saoirse

here

MarshaBradyo · 22/02/2018 01:54

Dream it sounds a dream, to be warm like that

Blair love the maternity wardrobe

Lib Maori sounds really great, what is it like? Example of a sentence please ;

Dd is asleep on me being a bit naughty as I’m wide awake, should put in cot and go to sleep

MarshaBradyo · 22/02/2018 01:58

The Brits oth has thrown up some corkers here some more exuberance in general

MarshaBradyo · 22/02/2018 03:04

Oh and what a coup to get the Queen and Anna Wintour to your show, incredible! The designer is not long out of college I think? Amazing

libertyonhertravels · 22/02/2018 06:49

Marsha I am not at sentences stage! Learning the alphabet and greetings atm.

Here's a u-tube vid of the - vowels and consonant sounds - our teacher brought a guitar and had us all singing it - was great fun!!

libertyonhertravels · 22/02/2018 07:41

Nice buys QueenC - if I was there I'd rush out and buy the coral version of that Gap blouse.

Marsha you are not wrong about the Brits - how bad is that outfit on Rita Ora???? Kylie looks good. I get why everyone wore black to the Baftas but it makes it a bit boring.

libertyonhertravels · 22/02/2018 07:45

And QueenC your comment about 'bastard schools' setting themes made me laugh Grin. I don't know if they do it here - smile could be wiped off my face next week.

MarshaBradyo · 22/02/2018 09:18

Ah that’s cute Lib

MarshaBradyo · 22/02/2018 09:19

Agree the black is boring, hardly notice the dresses

KM looks great with the extra chubbiness of pg

shopafrolic · 22/02/2018 13:54

Need to look back at links but just swinging by to say lots of Ash trainers on a brand alley

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 22/02/2018 14:16

Marsha KM looked amazing at the Brits, so glowy. She definitely suits a softer facial look.

Maternity wardrobe is still very much a work in progress Hmm Ordered control pants in a size 14, couldn't get them past my knees Grin so I might just have to stick with my support belt. I seem to have got quite a bit bigger again this week about the same size as KM probably.

Love the buys QueenC, the trainers were a bargain!

OP posts:
libertyonhertravels · 22/02/2018 22:45

Blair that is too funny not being able to get the control pants on, it's quite disconcerting how your body changes when pregnant. I'm sure you look great.

Agree KM rocks being pregnant.

I have absolutely no fashion news. Have totally lost all urge to shop and am not even bothering to browse when I'm near shops - tending to gravitate towards home stuff instead. With the exception of a single pair of jersey shorts (urgently required when camping in 30C) and a pair of running shorts I haven't bought anything since end Oct. Bit of a record for me. When I finally am working again I'm going to try and be really mindful about what I buy.

MarshaBradyo · 23/02/2018 20:47

The weather next week! I don’t think I’ve been in London with a maximum of -1

MarshaBradyo · 23/02/2018 20:51

Lib we’re still hammering the home accounts so far

2 x sofas
5 x chairs
10 x lights
1 x desk
1 x super KS bed
1 x bookshelf
Garden plants
Baby stuff

Getting there still so much to do
Curtains
Stairs
Extension
Decorating
All quoted

Next phase
Bathrooms
Garden studio

Sheesh Shock
You’ll love it when you do it though
